I cannot update my Facebook information in the messaging widget? I can not connect my media spooler to Facebook??? The phone is new an already in one hour I got an update. Why did the update forget to resolve all the issues?
View 12 RepliesRecently when I turn on bluetooth and the bluetooth device, media doesn't connect until I go into Bluetooth settings. I can sit there and wait 30 seconds after it's connected, go into Bluetooth settings, and watch it say "no media" then connect within a second. It's like the secretary opens up her spreadsheet but then doesn't start working until I enter the room. It does connect to phone, but I usually use it for media, and regardless, if I've set the device to use phone and media, it should connect them automatically at the same time always.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've had the RAZR for a few days now, and one of the main things I used my last phone for (droid x) was to listen to music at work.I've been listening to music these past three days, and when I look at the battery use chart, there is something called "Mediaserver" using up a significant amount of battery life (~20% or more if I've listened to a lot of music). On my droid x I never saw this process on my battery use, and I am wondering if there is an option or something that I am overlooking that is increasing the amount of battery drain from listening to music.I listen to mp3s on the stock music app and to mp3 and m4a podcasts using Pocket Casts.I can't say for sure, but Mediaserver seems to not appear on the battery list until I start listening to music and to not increase the amount of battery that it uses while not listening to music.
View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently, when I unplug my headphones, the media volume level indicator briefly comes up and shows that the media volume has been set to zero. I can't imagine why this is happening.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've noticed this happen several times before, but if I'm connecting/disconnecting to headphone jack or bluetooth, all media volumes will go silent (resuming a podcast, music, etc), and turning up/down the volume has no affect. The only fix I've found is to pause everything, go to the homescreen, turn the phone volume (which appears automatically) down, then go back into the app and press play. However, sometimes I can't turn the phone volume down on the homescreen because only the media volume appears, even after I close the media apps (even from the recent menu from holding the Home button). Even going into Menu > System Settings > Sound > Volumes and adjusting everything there made no difference. I had to make a phone call, hang up, then go back to the homescreen, turn the phone volume all the way to mute/vibrate, then turn it back up and go back into my media app and the media sound would be restored. It's really frustrating and considering how often I use media apps and how often this happens, I'm considering ditching the Razr Maxx and getting a non-Motorola phone.

The only issue I am having is when listening to music in Pandora or Songza and i get a notification, the volume is approximately half until the song changes or i exit the app and restart the app. Also, if the phone is on silent or vibrate this does not happen.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just noticed that after I exit the facebook app it continues to use 20 to 35% cpu. I have refresh set to never & notifications off. Looks like it just sits there using cycles & killing the battery. Once I long press home & swipe it off, it's cpu returns to zero.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was working after lunch and noticed that my phone was getting hotter and hotter. When I looked at the screen it showed constant data up and down. I wasnt syncing anything or surfing but it wouldnt stop. I shut down and restarted and even did the software "Battery Pull" but soon enough it would start data again and the battery would be eaten up. It was on 4G. Then finally it would stop an hour or so later. If I start the music app again it starts all over. Here is a thread on another site where we are trying to narrow it down. They think it may be the media server as it shows a lot of data usage!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had random issues with the fb app when on GB also, but now it wont start at all, or, it starts, then goes black and never recovers. finally about 10 - 15 minutes later I get a pop up message that the app has stopped responding and do I want to report it. Of course I report it every time.
I tried uninstalling the app completely but could not do it. I could only uninstall the upgrades made to it previously, so I tried that and then reinstalled the upgrades, but to no avail.
I did not realize that fb is a permanent app. I thought I could uninstall it completely, but I cannot. Has anyone else run into this with fb?
yes I did have other issues with ics and I have cache cleared and started uninstalling app's where possible. I have NOT tried a factory reset yet, but that may very well be next.
i cant seem to sync my fb contacts.i entered my fb email/pass into the accounts appit said it was ok, but no contacts show up in my contacts nor do any show up in my gallery app. i tried re-entering the info, removing the acct, adding it again, rebooting my phone etc. now, it looks like there is a tiny bit of progress.. i can see "me" but that's it. in the contacts app, if i only select to display fb contacts, it just shows me and not body else. in the gallery app, if i hit menu and then hit "friends" again, it only shows me. why is this not pulling in any contacts/friends?

The best examples of when this might come in handy:In the car, being able to turn media volume up to loud so you can stream music through your stereo and control it entirely through the car stereo. I find mysef always having to find my phone and turn media up on the phone first, so I don't accidentally blow a speaker when I get in the car without the phone connected.At work being able to turn the media volume to mute. This way I can sneak a round of Scramble or Words with Friends in without my cube neighbors hearing the tell tale sounds of the games.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, I'm currently unable to sync my facebook events to my phone calendar. In the Settings>Accounts, my facebook account is listed. When i tap on my account and enter my username/password, I'm brought back to the list of accounts, and I can't sync either my contacts or my calendar with my phone.
I used to be able to do this on my Galaxy S and could do it for a minute on the Razr. Does anyone know what happened, and if I can re-establish the sync? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling facebook, but it didn't do anything.
My laptop will not recognize my RAZR. I get the little sound on inserting the USB, but it says the device is not recognized. The phone IS charging, but i cannot transfer photos/movies.

I mean I guess I'm noticing that after friends' have published their photos on facebook its almost taking 2hrs before "My Gallery" shows up. Some of my friends update takes almost half a day to show up and other friends show up pretty immediately....so very random. And believe me I've reformatted the Cell Phone and removed my Facebook acct and cleared app data/cache and sometimes it works but not all the time.
How can I remove just the "email account on My Gallery". After a reformat occurs you can set up your Facebook Account "Gallery" to syncronize to, of course, your cell phone within My Gallery. You can add/remove Facebook all you want but it seems the "My Gallery" option is greyed out; once you activate it I cannot find a way to dis engage it.
Under 2.3.4 on the Bionic when you placed a call using the stock calling app you would see under the photo of your caller his/her Facebook status update (providing they were linked via Facebook).this seems to have been removed on 2.3.5 with the Razr.or am I just not flipping some switch?
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have two droid razrs on my verizon account. they are both currently with no service due to my brother sticking me with a 1500 dollar phone bill that being said one of them will not connect to wifi says "error" and thats all and the bluetooth isnt working either during my research i have found others with this same problem but no solution if neither connected i would probably shrug it off as verizon shut off my wifi access but that is not the case i have done hours of research and cant seem to find a solution on my own so my question or rather questions are as follows: How do i fix this issue if even possible? What could have caused this issue? What can i do to prevent this from happening again? Should i just try and get a replacement when i pay my bill and get service reconnected? my phones are not rooted or altered in anyway they are stock exactly the way you buy them at verizon store?
View 13 Replies View RelatedSo on saturday I tried manually installing the ICS update from over on droidforums. net.I know I know that is not advisable by most people However whats done is done.The install failed.I used the droid utility 1.7 to put gingerbread back on my phone.The phone works.I can go online, connect to wifi, make calls and doing everything like normal.I do however have a questions that i'm wondering if they are related to what I did.
1. I can't connect to 4G all of a sudden.I am only in a 4G area while i'm at work so the time I have to troubleshoot is limited.I did however read that other people are having a problem as well.I went to a store and they gave me a new sim card which didn't change anything.She believes its just the network.I guess time will tell on that.
2. I called customer support about the 4G thing and while going through the trouble shooting the guy asked for my IMEI number.in my phone it says unknown.I don't know if it ever showed a number but he seemed shocked that it said unknown so of course I think its something I did. i never told him or anyone at the store about trying to install the update in fear of them refusing to help me.
3.When I turn my phone on and the screen is loading up it takes a minute for it to get a signal.I sits there with a red circle with a line through it for a minute then the screen refreshes and I get service and 3G.Also while the screen is loading up I get a message in a blue box towards the bottom of the screen that says "Have a great day!" Which as nice as that is I never noticed that before.
From the documentation the Razr is supposed to support USB Host out of the box and allow connectivity of USB devices that do not require special drivers.Specifically mentioned were USB keyboards - which is the sole reason I purchsed the Razr over the Galaxy. I have a standard USB to micro USB adapter that I've used to connect to the phone. On the Bionic which was very similar, we had the option of selection "PUSH" or we could fetch the data for those feeds at different time frames. View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to pair my MAXX to my Parrot CK3000 car kit since the ICS update with no success. Every time the phone is near the car kit, the car kit asks "Please pair device" whether the phone is paired or not. If paired, it won't connect (tapping on the device icon on the phone (under Bluetooth) produces nothing). If I forget the device and repair, I get a "pairing successful" from the car kit, but no connections, even when I make a call from the phone.
Is there a way I can force connect or get the darn connection to occur? SmartActions is disabled, in case that makes a difference. Yes, it paired and worked properly under Gingerbread.
My bluetooth works fine on other devices, but, I am having issues connecting to my car's built in system. Has anyone run into similar issues? The indicator on the car comes and goes (it has paired) but, the call button on the car won't work. The car and phone seem to be fighting each other because the strength signal on the car goes up and down and then intermittantly off.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI previously owned a HTC Windows Mobile phone that consistently showed 3G connectivity in certain areas not covered by Verizon. Now, I own the RAZR, and when in the same areas, the phone will not connect at 3G, but only at 1x, which really sucks down the battery, not to mention being totally unusable for any data needs.I realize that LTE/4G is only in the Verizon footprint, but I would expect to still be able to connect at 3G speed when in these non-Verizon locations.

I keep trying to do this on #2 and keep getting the following: "Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later." This happened on #2 before, but powering off reset it. This time I have tried powering off and on several times, but still cannot get the System update to work. The settings (wifi, etc.) are the same on #1 and #2. Any ideas to get the System update to work?

The shared folders are the typical XP Shared Documents in My Computer, and I can access them through EStrongs File Explorer easily, and the PC has a username and password so that's not the problem. It doesn't matter what I type in for that anyways.Shouldn't this work out of the box? It seems like I have to jump through some unspecified hoops here, and there's no clue what I'm supposed to do. It looks like a useless feature at this point.

My Droid sees the network SSID and treats it as a WEP secured network, so it only provides me the ability to enter the WEP password and not the whole range of WPA2 credentials. I have tried pulling up all advanced options I can reach from the WiFi screens without finding a way to change this. I have ICS on the phone.
