Motorola Xoom :: Display Does Not Auto-rotate In Some Applications
May 29, 2011one example- Internet app-full screen only shows in 'normal' orientation, wont rotate- it does rotate in others, so its not the 'lock' setting.

Google Nexus 6 :: Display Setting Is Set To Auto-rotate
Jul 15, 2015Verizon 32 GB Nexus 6, stock no root. 5.1.1. It won't autorotate. Display setting is set to autorotate and Accessibility setting is set to autorotate but it won't. Multiple on/off reboots with settings off and on. Cleared system cache. I downloaded Check My Android and it shows all sensors active and working normally. I downloaded Set Orientation and it won't change automatically. I can force it to landscape mode using the app but have to do it manually. The camera takes a picture in portrait and displays it either upside down or in landscape.

Sep 10, 2011New issue I've never seen before, on my girlfriends d3 the homescreen refuses to rotate. I toggled the auto rotate setting, rebooted the phone, no change. Just for giggles I installed go launcher, and now the homescreen rotates properly.

My screen will not auto-rotate when I move the phone.If I open an app or watch a video that is in landscape it till rotate, but when I close the app/video the screen will not rotate back.I have to turn off the screen, rotate the phone and the unlock the phone to get the screen to rotate.I have my display settings set to auto-rotate.I have this issue using Blur launcher, GoLauncher, and ADW.

I did a G-Sensor calibration and that didn't help either.Is it possible that the accelerometer is broken? May 4, 2011I ordered my Xoom from amazon.com, and exactly one day after their 30 day return period my tablet awakened showing only vertical lines. I am able to do a forced power-up (Volume up, power) but all you can see is the tablet going through the appropriately-colored start sequence, complete with the pulsating blue and purple honeycomb sequence - but with only somewhat compressed vertical lines. You can't really see where anything is on the screen, which has made it impossible to really acheive a factory reset start sequence. I've tried searching for this problem and haven't found it anywhere. I was wondering if anyone else had seen this.
Motorola suggested checking with place of purchase for return/exchange policy and/or returning the tablet to them. Mainly I'm curious if any others have experienced this and to let anyone who is know that they aren't the only one.
I love my Xoom, and after only 36hrs without it I am already missing it. Not looking forward to another couple of weeks.

Jul 21, 2011Wondering if anyone else has experienced 5-10 thin blue lines/streaks in their display (red on a black background). I first noticed the issue when using my Kindle app a few months ago. Eventually they disappeared but now they've returned. It has been several days and like last time, don't go away with a device reboot or reset.
