IPhone :: Disappearing Contacts From New 4s

Just got a new iphone 4s. I haven't had a chance to upload my entire address book, but some of the contacts I have entered have disappeared. This is the second time this has happened and I haven't even had the phone a week yet. The first time, I thought that I just didn't save the info correctly... but only some of the contacts are missing, not all of them. I'd like to know what the issue is before I enter all of my contacts. Again, I haven't even plugged the phone into the computer yet, so it cant be a syncing issue.

I noticed yesterday and today that contacts are disappearing one by one from my iPhone 4s. What is going on? I've read some of these other threads but turning off iCloud and merging and all that did not work. I haven't changed anything on my phone, the contacts are just suddenly disappearing little by little.

everytime i sync my iphone with itunes, the sync contacts is always unchecked and i have to click on the box to check it. should i be doing this all the time? and after updating my iphone to 5.1.1 , my contacts have been disappearing. i have an icloud account and a microsoft exchange account.

My iPhone 4S randomly loses contacts, even if I have re-entered them into the phone. Tonight 12 of the contacts I text to are no longer in my address book. Their text window just shows their phone number.

I am using a Nokia E71.Some of my contacts have disappeared from my phone. They are not on the sim, phone or memory card; they have just disappeared.I have not connected my phone to my computer recently, so it isn't Nokia Ovi Suite which has deleted them via sync.I've taken the precaution of deleting Ovi Store from the installations on my phone, now I have Email from 3, Skype, Google and Windows Messenger.Please could somebody tell me why my phone is doing this and how to prevent it?

Now my contacts disappear regularly from my S5. I can get them back only by restarting the phone. Error messages says ....android.acore has stopped. I'm running 5.1.1, and I can't haven't been able to tie the problem to any specific app.
I cleared the cache and did a factory reset a few weeks ago because my "back" and "menu" buttons weren't working. (They are still not working, but a separate app has given me a serviceable "back" button.) I cleared the cache again this week, but the contacts still disappear once or twice a day.

I've have had my phone since May and I noticed something that is bothering me. Some of my contacts seem to be disappearing and others have multiple duplicates. What's the best way to add new contacts to the phone and sync them along with contacts already in the phone? I used to use gmail which worked awesome but didn't they stop syncing? For example if I add a new contact to my phone now it says "Contact Type" I then tap the bar and it gives me the option of adding the contact to "SIM", "Google", "Microsoft Hotmail", another address titled "Google" and "Phone" so which one should I choose? All I want is to make sure when I add a contact to the phone it gets synced with something else and I only want a single contact per person. How to accomplish that?

I have a curve, 8520. When I add a new contact to my address book, I find that it disappears when I remove the battery and reboot my phone or a few days later. However, older contacts that were saved on my previous phone, before I had my blackberry, do not get deleted. It is not the memory card as I tried saving a number without the memory card and the same thing happened.

I'm using a LG G3 (LG D858HK) running Android 5.0.1. I'm saving my contacts to Google. Every now and then, some newly created contact info goes missing but I could find the telephone no in phone's call log as a unsaved number. If you check the Google Contacts, this particular contact is not there.

I've got an E7 phone which is synchronized to my Exchange 2003/Outlook 2010 email account. Since I got this phone, I've had problems on multiple occasions with contacts simply disappearing - they are suddenly gone from both my phone and my Outlook account. I have a lot of contacts in my address book that I don't use regularly, so it's hard to know just how widespread the problem is. But three or four times over the last few months, a very important contact has disappeared, along with all the notes and information that I'd added.

Got a new 4s a couple of weeks ago. After a couple of days all my purchased music dissappeared. Had to re-set and install everything from scratch. Last week all my pictures dissappeared. loaded them back up. Yesterday contacts started dissappearing. Today my email accounts have all gone apart from icloud and I can't get them set up again. Have I just got a lemon or has my pc picked up a cold?

After the update to 5.1 my songs from my music library disappears. They're still on the phone but it won't find them.
I also noticed that the battery time has gotten worse and after the update the camera won't work at all when i press the icon in locked screen, the screen "jumps" a little bit but it won't start it.

I have the Google Glass app on my iPhone 4s. I can confirm this by swiping down the center of the home page, search for the app which DOES show up and I am able to launch it. But I don't want to launch it. I want to DELETE it and restore it because it has become corrupted. If I go to the App Store, it indicates the Google Glass app is installed, and offers to open it. I want to DELETE it. However, the icon for the app is now missing. I have *very carefully* looked at every icon on my iPhone. The Google Glass icon is nowhere to be found. I have repeated this search myself at least four times, and I even asked a friend to review the icons, who also confirmed that the Google Glass icon was not present. Two questions: how do I delete an app whose icon does not appear on the phone even though it clearly *is* on the phone because it can be launched? Alternatively, how do I make the disappearing or invisible app's icon reappear so that I may delete and restore the app?

My iphone 3gs is jailbroken, and everytime I install the Facebook and Fandango apps on my phone, the icons become present on the last page, shows it downloading, but the second it is done, the icon disappears! If I plug the phone in iTunes and go to the Apps tab, I look at each page and both icons appear there, but not on the phone itself. Under settings, it says the Facebook app is installed, but I can't get the icon to come up. None of the other apps do this. Tried downloading from both iTunes and via the phone. Why is this?

I recently added a new album to my 'iPhone' playlist in iTunes which I sync with my iPhone.
However, when I went to my phone, and searched under artist, the album was not there! The two other albums I have by that artist are there but not the new one.
What's weirder is that it DOES appear on my iPhone if I search for it under the album tab. But it does not come up when looking under the artist tab (just the other two albums that I have by that artist).

I keep finding that my emails disappear from the inbox on my iPhone. I've just replaced my iPhone 4 (which didn't have any problems with emails) with an iPhone 4s. I get an email and within 5 minutes the inbox empties. I can see it moving up like I've swiped the screen and then cannot find it anywhere.

I've noticed this twice today. I'm in the middle of a conversation in iMessage with another iPhone user. I'm responding to their message, and they send me another before I can finish mine. I see it for a split second, and then it disappears.

I've been running into problems where some (not all) apps disappear from my iPhone after syncing. Yesterday, I downloaded 3 apps...the Bloomberg app, the new Star Wars game, and a local tv station's app. After syncing, the Bloomberg and tv station app were still there, but the Star Wars game was gone, and I had to redownload, which caused me to lose my progress (only one level, so not a huge deal).
Also, I've downloaded the speedtest.net app repeatedly, and it's disappeared every time I sync.Anyone have an answer as to why some apps disappear and some apps don't...and how to make it stop happening?

My iPhone 4 has lost Safari and camera. They just dropped off yesterday while I was going about the day using the phone as I normally do-not syncing, not adding or deleting apps, it was fully charged, etc. I did a restore from my MBP (all software up to date; up to date IOS). Everything looked good after the restore/sync. But, after I disconnected the iPhone those two apps disappeared again. This is weird. Syncing my wife's iPhone to the MBP works just fine.

I have purchased and repurchased several ringtones from the iTunes store. They will show up on my phone but after a while they just disappear. When I connect my phone to my computer, they are listed under Tones under my device but they are greyed out. Under Settings and Tones in iTunes they are not listed at all.
