I can't get any of the camera modes to download, the status bar will go black for a couple of seconds then a loading box flashes up then disappears. I've tried clearing the camera and galaxy apps caches and rebooting but the problem still persists.

I went back to the Samsung Galaxy App store confirmed the apps were in fact already installed. Something I missed?
Is there a way to restore this function? The only setting is "Auto" and when trying to check for other modes, a message says this camera does not support those functions. Why? They were supported under OS 5 in the same phone?Also, the camera shots are not nearly as nice as the older 8330.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got my phone and it is completely stock. When using the video camera and switching between slow-motion modes (normal, 120 FPS & 240 FPS) the camera app crashes and I get the error message "Can't connect to the camera".
Then the camera wont work, no matter the app I use, that uses the camera. After a reboot it works again though.
Sometimes it crashes the first time I've changed the mode to 240, sometimes after cycling through the modes a bit, but it always happen and it wont many cycles (1-3). I've recorded functional 240 FPS videos, so that part works.
I've tried starting the phone in safe mode and deleting cache partition, with the same result.
There are others with the same problem, but it doesn't seem to be a common error. Is it a software problem or hardware, and is RMA the only option?
I've had the S6 for a few months and never had a problem downloading app from Playstore.

I went to the facebook app that was already on the phone and followed the steps to download the app. The phone goes through all the motions to download the app, it even shows it downloading. Once it reaches 43mb a notification pops up saying could not Install. It then give me the choice to try later or retry now. I have read other forum Posts saying to clear cache and restarting the phone. But still no luck. What could be wrong? I have Ino talked other apps today with no problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to download themes to my Samsung S6. When I select one to download a pop up appears on screen for a fraction of a second (it's such a small period of time, that I can't read the text displayed on it). The pop up then disappears and the theme is not downloaded.
I'd disabled some applications on my phone as they were hogging memory, and I think that might be something to do with it; so I've re-enabled all of the Samsung apps but I'm still not having any luck.

I've also tried Simple Downloader app. I had been able to download music from Google Music. why I can't download from the apps? A fix for this which I've seen several places on the web is: "You have to clear the camera app cache if you want from your camera app to take good quality photos and to focus correctly. To do this go to Settings > Application Manager > All Apps and then find the Camera app. Click on it and clear cache. This is like a factory reset for your camera." However, When I go to Settings > Applications > Application Manager (I must take the extra middle step to get there; perhaps my phone is a later model), I do not see anything called All Apps and cannot find the camera app there.
The camera is really no good if all the pictures are out of focus.

Did the soft reset by holding power + volume down for 7 seconds and had it restart, power off, and safe restart, all of which I was able to do successfully, but each time the phone has the same issue when it boots back up.
I don't want to hard reset and lose my layout.
I took some photos today on my S5 and even reviewed some of them straight away, but now they are missing. I definitely didn't delete any but I can't find them in any folders. Is there a way I can get those photos back again?
