Having a strange issue where the phone won't power off using the physical power button, the camera keeps coming up, and the phone gets really hot.
Did the soft reset by holding power + volume down for 7 seconds and had it restart, power off, and safe restart, all of which I was able to do successfully, but each time the phone has the same issue when it boots back up.
I don't want to hard reset and lose my layout.
The camera light keeps coming on when not using the camera. The only thing that turns it off is re-starting the phone.

View 13 Replies View RelatedOn my s6, my email was working perfectly fine on the stock client, then about 6 weeks ago, it started pulling in everything that was going to my junk mail folder(from outlook). I have deleted the email account on the computer and phone, multiple times, but still the junk emails come through. I'm getting like 400 junk emails per day. I use GoDaddy as our server and they block out the majority of the emails as I can see them in the junk folder on my computer, but everything in that junk folder comes through to my phone....It's essentially syncing the junk folder and inbox instead of JUST the inbox.......

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I play music through my phone, with or without headphones, there is a sporadic noise that sounds similar to a record skipping, but more distorted. It is not the two tone beep others have posted about, nor is it the usual problem with headphones. The sound occurs in multiple audio apps. The default music player worked fine up until about a week ago (maybe two?), then the noise started. At first, a secondary app worked fine, but today that started making the noise as well. Force quitting the default app worked for a while, stopping the noise when I started the app back up, but now it goes back to the noise almost immediately. What this noise is or how to stop it permanently?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis morning the screen of my Z5 Compact starting coming back on after I press the Power Button to turn it off. It seems to be triggered by movement: If I'm holding the phone after pressing the PB, the screen comes back on immediately when my hand moves. If I place the phone flat on a table and press the PB, without additional movement, the screen stays off.
The screen stays off if allowed to Sleep past the set duration.
The past couple of days I've also been getting notifications that certain Apps are preventing Stamina mode from operating. This morning it was Facebook. Yesterday, it was another one I can't remember. Can these issues be related?
How to turn off the power up sound on the S5? I prefer no noise when I start my phone (now if you could also get rid of the Verizon screen... but I know better)...

It is in Ultra Power Saving mode. I have tried Android Device Manager...the message I entered shows on the screen, but the temporary password I set does not work. Almost feels like the screen I'm entering that password on is the wrong screen, and I'm limited by the power saving features.
Not sure what else to try; Samsung's Locate my Phone doesn't seem useful.
How do I fix power sharing apps as i cannot charge my samsung s6 properly after last update. I checked the application manager the apps already installed and there but when i try to look it in the menu there i cannot see the apps. Try to replace my charger and try another charger but the result was the same. How to uninstall. Also i already clear the data, cache and even force stop.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried to flash the newest Vodafone firmware (PDA G920FXXU3QOJQ, CSC G920FVFG3QOJQ, Modem G920FXXU3QOJQ) on my G920F using Odin.
The first ROM i tried was corrupted and didn't pass the md5-check, so i downloaded a new one from samdownloads.de and tried again.
Odin shows the usual messages until hidden.img is written, after that it says "Complete (write) operation failed" and, after reboot, leaves me with a warning screen reading
"An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I can power it down and reset with power+vol down, but it only gets to the same turqoise screen again and thats it. If I press the combo immediately, i can get into d/l mode, also.
Just checked a second time, failed again, now i am stuck with a phone that doesn't power off anymore. Waiting for the battery to die is not an option, just charged it, around 95% full. I suppose i have to flash a new bootloader? My TWRP is also gone, bad news. Do I have to install modem, bootloader and pit file now?
After activating my Ultra Power Saving mode, I was able to deactivate, however my phone then went into a similar power saving mode, grey scale screen, no apps and no option to exit the mode available on any accessible parts of the settings. Is this a bug? or have I activated a mode I didn't intend to?

I tried going onto android/google device manager but the phone seems to have glitched from what I believe is because I put it in ultra power saving mode.
it's possible to disable ultra power saving mode while the phone is still locked.
p.s. I also rooted my phone before I became locked out of it.
I was just sitting watching tv and my G4 was on my desk where it had been untouched for a least an hour. I heard what sounded like the camera make that shutter click sound but didn't really pay too much attention to it. Then a few seconds later I heard it again so I got up and saw the phone was on, the camera app was open and it had taken a couple of pictures. I know there are some apps that claim they can access the camera so is it possible somebody has access to my phone? I've only had it a week and bought it brand new. Have I been hacked?

The phone can be sat there without anyone touching it when all of a sudden the light on the back (I assume the flash light) comes on of its own accord. It is very bright and I can't switch it off.I took the phone back to the store twice already and the second time the guy in the store could also see it happening but the repairers are failing to find the fault.Sometimes the light stays on and the screen lights up and then fades. Other times (like today) the light comes on and the unlock slide key on the left hand side of phone fails to work. Only unlocking the phone via screen will work.Have checked and no applications are running so not sure what is going wrong. Anyone else had any similar problems because I am baffled.

It was coming up with a striped screen. After a few months I checked again.....and it worked! But then it stopped working again and I am now stuck with a striped screen and cannot figure out why.

A fix for this which I've seen several places on the web is: "You have to clear the camera app cache if you want from your camera app to take good quality photos and to focus correctly. To do this go to Settings > Application Manager > All Apps and then find the Camera app. Click on it and clear cache. This is like a factory reset for your camera." However, When I go to Settings > Applications > Application Manager (I must take the extra middle step to get there; perhaps my phone is a later model), I do not see anything called All Apps and cannot find the camera app there.
The camera is really no good if all the pictures are out of focus.
I received the S5 yesterday, love this phone BUT the cog wheel icon is missing from the camera screen. I cannot zoom in or out and cannot find it anywhere in options. How do I get it?
