My phone keeps coming up with 'unfortunately, samsung galaxy has stopped. ' doesn't matter what apps are open or what I'm doing on the phone. I've stopped all running apps but don't know what else to try.
View 24 RepliesHaving a strange issue where the phone won't power off using the physical power button, the camera keeps coming up, and the phone gets really hot.
Did the soft reset by holding power + volume down for 7 seconds and had it restart, power off, and safe restart, all of which I was able to do successfully, but each time the phone has the same issue when it boots back up.
I don't want to hard reset and lose my layout.
On my s6, my email was working perfectly fine on the stock client, then about 6 weeks ago, it started pulling in everything that was going to my junk mail folder(from outlook). I have deleted the email account on the computer and phone, multiple times, but still the junk emails come through. I'm getting like 400 junk emails per day. I use GoDaddy as our server and they block out the majority of the emails as I can see them in the junk folder on my computer, but everything in that junk folder comes through to my phone....It's essentially syncing the junk folder and inbox instead of JUST the inbox.......
View 12 Replies View RelatedWhenever I play music through my phone, with or without headphones, there is a sporadic noise that sounds similar to a record skipping, but more distorted. It is not the two tone beep others have posted about, nor is it the usual problem with headphones. The sound occurs in multiple audio apps. The default music player worked fine up until about a week ago (maybe two?), then the noise started. At first, a secondary app worked fine, but today that started making the noise as well. Force quitting the default app worked for a while, stopping the noise when I started the app back up, but now it goes back to the noise almost immediately. What this noise is or how to stop it permanently?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm running El Capitan on my Mac Air. I've had no problem transferring photos up until now. Hook up the USB, Photos opens and asks if I want to import. Bing, done.
Today Photos doesn't open automatically. I opened it manually to see if it would ask about importing; it didn't.
I checked "about this Mac/System information". The Mac doesn't appear to see that the Android is connected via USB. But it is. The Android is charging because it's hooked up. I've tried four different cords. Same result.
I downloaded the updated Samsung Switch. I've opened it several times, and plugged in the Android when told to. I've had two results: sometimes it didn't see the connection at all. The other times it tells me this kind of connection isn't supported, and to "change connection mode to media device".
I know there are various other ways to send photos - File Transfer, etc. What I want is to get back to where my Mac immediately and happily responded to seeing my S6 hooked up.
I've downloaded several updates in the past two days. Maybe one of those is the problem. I can't find a way to see which apps have updated. Any way to check that out? If the problem isn't the updates - why this has stopped working, when it was fine yesterday?
My phone stopped charging when turned on. When off & plugged in the charging icon appears every 8 seconds & stays on screen for 5 seconds. It takes OVER 24 HRS to get a full charge which then is drained completely within the hour. I have purchased multiple charging cords & used many different outlets. There is NO water damage, however, since day 1 of purchasing this s5 it CONSTANTLY OVER HEATS to the point I cant hold it until I turn it off or do the 'cooler'.

Recently got the S6 Edge and now can't get it to remain connected for more than 30 seconds. Phone says Bluetooth has unexpectedly stopped working.
View 24 Replies View RelatedAfter I updated my Samsung edge to lollipop 5.1.1 , it seems that the parallax effect or the 3D effect has stopped working. I know that if I hold on the home screen and click the wallpaper settings, I get a little toggle which switches the motion effect on/off. But what ever I do it still makes no difference to the home screen. it still stays the same. Is there something that I am missing or can I downgrade to lollipop 5.0?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I recently unbricked my AT&T S5 with OC4 Stock Modem and Kernel. Everything was working perfectly fine until I clicked software update. The update downloaded and started to install, but after that it goes into recovery mode and ended up failed to update. The phone then reboots to the at&t logo screen, then to a black screen with error messages such as "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped", "Unfortunately, Media Storage has stopped" and "Unfortunately, setting has stopped".... I pressed the power button to see if I can go to emergency mode, but it will give me another one of those error message "Unfortunately, Emergency recovery manger has stopped" or something like that. What can I do to fix this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not getting my text messages. Well, I get them, but very, very late if at all. I sent well wishes to people that night and received a barrage of responses about 8-12 hours later. Even when I text myself nothing happens. I've tried reflashing, playing with every setting I could and nothing.
The only way I can force them to me in is by dialing voicemail and texting myself while the call is active. THEN it works. I get my text immediately and whatever's been waiting in queue.
As I was talking on my relatively new Bold 9700 it just completely died! The battery was charged but the screen and everything just went black. It will not power on. I have removed the battery and put it back in and the only response to that it the red LED light coming on for a few minutes then coming off.

I called someone back cause I noticed I had a missed call and they told me they left me a message. When I checked my voicemail, I had over 10 new messages that I didn't get any notifications for.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAn odd thing has been happening to my Samsung Galaxy S6 recently, and I have had no luck at resolving this issue so far. When plugging headphones or any other auxiliary cords into my phone to listen to music, all of the audio coming through the headphones is muffled, like it is playing from behind a window. I have done many things to try to resolve this issue, including trying different headphones and restarting my phone, but no luck. It was only when I tried something else that I concluded that this issue is not hardware related. When I used a 3rd party music application (in this case Spotify), the first second of whatever audio is playing comes out perfectly fine, but very quickly switches to the muffled audio. I have also figured out that only while on Spotify can I temporarily prevent this issue from occurring by opening up the default music app on my S6. This somehow changes the already playing music from muffled, to regular.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSame thing happened from time to time on my S2. Every time I delete emails, they come back like 4-5 times. I have to delete them multiple times a day before they stay deleted. It doesn't matter if I delete them from my actual Gmail account on my PC, they still keep coming back. It also happens if I go from a WiFi area, to a non-WiFi area. It is SO ANNOYING. And, to make matters worse, I have 3 email accounts linked to my phone, which are all needed for work, so this just confuses me so many times during the day. I cannot work like this for one more second.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy M7 died on me and never came back on, so I was wondering if this was an issue with the M8 too? Just the phone turning off and never coming back on. I had a friend whose Galaxy S3 did the same thing.
If it is, is it a very common issue for both the M7 & M8? I loved my M7 and should be upgrading soon, but idk if its a smart decision. Right now prices for both devices are doable, but is it worth it to even invest ~$200?
I would hate to sink in some money and have it blow up in my face again
