Galaxy S6 Edge :: How To Exit Power Saving Mode On Samsung Phone
Oct 15, 2015
After activating my Ultra Power Saving mode, I was able to deactivate, however my phone then went into a similar power saving mode, grey scale screen, no apps and no option to exit the mode available on any accessible parts of the settings. Is this a bug? or have I activated a mode I didn't intend to?
I cannot get my phone out of power mode. It is turned off, but auto brightness goes lowest possible still. No lights on buttons, no haptic feedback, no sounds (hate them, but turn on to see).
It's not hardware as the haptic buttons light and vibrate on boot... Just nothing after boot up. Haven't done anything but let my phone hit 10% battery before charging.
I just tried out car mode for the first time and when I was in the simplified interface there was no way for me to exit it... I just tried it out inside so it wasn't automatically hooking up to a cars bluetooth or anything. I believe I was supposed to pull down on the top menu thing to turn it off but I couldn't pull it down while in car mode. I ended up having to reboot my phone to get out of car mode.
I had less than 7% of battery and I went into Ultra Power Saving Mode where I got only notification upper tab and blank screen below. I reboot my phone but stuck on Samsung logo. How to fix this?
Tried wipe cache in recovery mode and charging phone up to 100% but no luck, still stuck on Samsung logo.
Phone is international S6, not rooted, official. Any options except hard reset?
My Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is locked--""Unable to recognize your fingerprint. Enter your backup password to unlock the device". Apparently I do not know the password.
It is in Ultra Power Saving mode. I have tried Android Device Manager...the message I entered shows on the screen, but the temporary password I set does not work. Almost feels like the screen I'm entering that password on is the wrong screen, and I'm limited by the power saving features.
Not sure what else to try; Samsung's Locate my Phone doesn't seem useful.
I managed to lock myself out of my Samsung galaxy s5, and now my phone is now asking for an alternative password (which I don't remember setting).
I tried going onto android/google device manager but the phone seems to have glitched from what I believe is because I put it in ultra power saving mode.
it's possible to disable ultra power saving mode while the phone is still locked.
p.s. I also rooted my phone before I became locked out of it.
my battery was on 5% so I turned on ultra power saving mode. my battery eventually died, then when I plugged my phone back into the charger it wont let me turn power saving off. my drop down list isn't available and a lot of my setting are missing. ive tried restarting the phone and fully rebooting but nothing works and I cant turn the bloody thing off.
So I connect to a bluetooth device for my car to play music and provide directions. Driving mode somehow got turned on and is annoying as all heck. So basically I want it gone. It doesnt do anything for me, it just randomly resends a notification and interrupts my music and I have had it.
Although I have it so power saving mode doesn't officially 'click on' until battery is at 20%, should I be leaving the icon on at all times? I guess what I'm confused on is, does it really enable as soon as I click power saving or does it basically say it's ready to go, not on, but will click on at 20%?
Since I bought the phone I have had power saving mode enabled. When it comes to paying games like need for speed, what am I missing out on with power saving mode enabled? It seems to be running fine with it enabled.
I am running SetCPU and chose it to cut clock speed to 800mhz when the battery is at 30%. Can you recommend a clock speed which will help battery but won't make the phone slow.
I used Ultra Power Saving Mode last night for about an hour. When I reverted back from that about half of my icons were missing including my stock Voicemail, YouTube, Yahoo Mail, all my games...etc.
Looked a little further into it this morning on Application Manager and the apps are still present on the phone and installed, but "Turned Off". If I tap on them, some have a button that says "Enable" (which appears to be all the pre-loaded apps that came with the phone) but most of them don't.
I've used Ultra Power Saving Mode as recent as two weeks ago with no problem.
When I lock my SGS II i would expect all the buttons to lock! However the power button function remain active and its far too easy to accidently power off my phone or set it into flight mode.Does anyone know how to disable this "feature" ??
So if I open messenger, or send pictures through it, etc., all the pictures I have been sent/have sent are in my phone gallery again. Is there any way I can stop this? It's very annoying. I just opened my gallery and there were 29 photos from messenger that I had previously deleted from my phones memory.
So I am having a very strange problem. I have been using the Situations App (formerly Nokia Situations) to automatically put my phone into offline mode, and power saving mode over night. 9pm to 6:30am.Recently the phone as started refusing to leave the offline mode in the morning. Even if I try to change the profile manually it says "Unable to change profile". The only way I can get out of offline mode is to reboot.I uninstalled Situations, and manually put the phone into offline mode and power saving mode. By the morning I had the same issue, stuck in offline mode until reboot. So it's not the App causing the problem. I've tried a soft reset, same problem still.
I also noticed that over-night (from fully charged before 9pm) to 6:30am I used about 70% of my charge. (A combination of power saving mode and offline mode is killing my battery!)I would have to go to work and immediately put my phone on charge! I.e.. 12 hours of offline + power save has drained my battery almost completely.Last night I decided to use the Situations App to put the phone into offline mode, BUT NOT activate power save mode. This morning the phone had virtually full charge and it had no problem returning to online mode.So it's ONLY if I use BOTH power-save and offline. (Tonight I will try using power-saving mode and NOT offline mode to see if it's only the power-saving mode causing the issue!)If I manually enter offline+power-save mode, and then try to return to on-line/non-power-save mode, relatively quickly, i.e.. Not over-night, everything is fine. It's only over night the problems start!
My phone battery is dead in 10 hours or less. I think the problem is it does not go into a power saving mode (sleep mode?). I have rebooted, restored (twice), let the battery run out and restart several times to no avail.

yesterday my Nokia N85 ran out of Charge. This morning i plugged it in with either a Usb cable to computer or a wall usb Charger and after around a minute the battery bar shows up.It doesn't charge but just sits there with 1 power bar and in power saving mode.
I bought yesterday a Nokia X2-00 and been exploring it for a while, so far so good, pretty happy and satisfied with it, but there's a problem that bothers and I can't seem to find a solution for it. About the screen-saver, I can, for example, put it as a digital clock, and set a timer for when the phone to switch to screen-saver mode. Problem is, I don't seem to find anywhere an option to play with the sleep mode - no matter what, about 10 seconds after the screen saver goes active, the screen goes totally black (goes into sleep mode) and I need to press a button to wake it up. No digital clock display, no nothing.I need to be able to see the clock (and possibly an icon for missed calls/new texts) without having to touch a button. On all my old phones you could play with both screen saver/power saving/sleep mode options, but not here. What can I do?
my phone keeps coming out of power saving mode (the screen lights up ) for no reason even when it just sits on the table doing nothing this is problem if its in my pocket because it then phones people hs any one what i have done or how i can stop it
Today, I turned on my extreme power saver mode. I turned it on at 1 p.m at about 11% and at 3 o'clock it was down to 4% . That doesn't really seem like any kind of power saving to me. I burned up 7 percent in 2 hours, and I wasnt using the phone. I think I might've used less power had I not done anything!!
In my Nokia C7 device, If I want to select dual or 3G in network mode, I have to deactivate power saving mode. In other words, when the power saving mode is active, only GSM mode will work and 3G/video calling will not work. If I deactivate power saving mode to make a video call, device starts heating up and power in battery decreases very fastly. How to keep power saving mode active in dual and 3g modes?
I've recently bought a nokia X6 16GB, but I can't activate the power saving mode. I can't find it when I press the power key.Does this phone enter power saving mode when the battery is low
