I have a G920F. It is rooted via odin flashing Unikernel. When I tried to flash TWRP via TWRP Manager (installed from the playstore), the phone would get into a bootloop. It got stuck at the Galaxy S6 screen, with the red line up on the top left corner saying "Recovery Seandroid not enforcing" or something like that. I had to use KIES to get it back up and running (no data loss). Now I rooted it again, and root was successful. I want to get TWRP flashed in order to install the custom ROMS. How do I do that now? I don't want to have to use KIES to recover my phone again. It is running 5.1.1 btw.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using G920I Australia version. I can successfully root using CF-Auto-Root.
But I can not get into TWRP recovery after I flashed that (tried both versions of the recovery) using odin. It stops at the first screen (samsung logo). I tried using adb commond reboot recovery and the hardware key (volum up+power+home), both of them do not let me in to the custom recovery.
I had tried enabled knox before flash TWRP, which made it into boot loop. And then recoveried using the official firmware. Now I can only get into the official recovery.
How to get into the TWRP? BTW, how to backup the pit file using adb? On previous models it was mmcblk0, but Galaxy S6 seems to have changed the memory map to sda1, sda2, etc.
I recently flashed xef 5.1.1 and ota'd to 6.0.1 and rooted with spacex kernel. My question is can i install twrp with flashify?
First of all root with spacex kernel.... Then follow the guide on how to root galaxy s6 android 6 in this forum and don't do the last part with installing the kernal and super su. Link to guide: [URL] ....
I tried to update my phone to the latest version. I hit install from the notification, my phone reboots goes into TWRP recovery.... does nothing, then I have to "reboot into system" and then the phone boots up like normal. Without updating to 6.0.1.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI flashed the XtreStoLite Bootloader and Modem for 5.1.1. After that I flashed the new TWRP with Odin, it passed so there shouldn't be any errors.
I tried to boot into the recovery after I turned off the phone with volume + / power / home button. At first there was only a picture of an android but now it doesn't do anything when I try to press the buttons.
The Bootloader shows that the knox is already tripped so it's w/e. Tried to check for root in Android terminal but apparently it doesn't recognise the command.
How to proceed, so I can finally boot into twrp?

First I tried to flash CF-Autoroot with odin v3.10.6 - after odin passed, the phone rebooted and got stuck on "powered by android" screen
I got the stock firmware (G920FXXU1AOBN) downloaded and flashed with odin.. the phone comes to life...
I try to flash twrp. ... same story
What can be the cause of this ? Can't root or get custom recovery
Should I do the OTA update maybe and try ?
I root my S6 without trigering knox. But I know if I install custom recovery that will triger knox. So is it possible to install custom rom with stock recovery? Do I have to rename rom zip file as update.zip? Will that triger knox?
I am on 5.0.2 not 5.1.1 yet.
i m rooted but my knox isnt tripped so my question is can i use flashify to flash camera mod without custom recovery? and will it trip knox?

I looked up how to get stock sense back onto it and successfully did that although the device is still rooted with TWRP as the custom recovery. How to get my m8 back to stock. like 100% stock. I want to be able to accept updates from att and have no trouble doing so. SO FAR i tried flashing a recovery image that i found.
I am not able to post links yet but it was the stock recovery firmware base version 1.12.502.18 for ATT from the website andromods which i read is the correct one.
I flashed the recovery image there^^^ and got the red triangle with the ! in it, then my phone restarted about 2 mins later and went back to the rooted sense 6 overlay i had but i still have TWRP on it. I thought i had bricked my phone at this point but it restarted.
So, how can I completely get rid of TWRP? I have a fastboot program already installed.
I just got my second hand Nexus 6p and the bootloader came unlocked and TWRP is installed. The updates don't work when TWRP is installed so I want to go back to the stock recovery.

I flashed the latest factory image, then flashed the latest TWRP but can access it 1 out of 10 tries.. What am I doing wrong? Is it a faulty replacement phone? Never had this issue with my other nexus 5 (same recovery file but lollipop and not marshmallow) and now I have this problem.. View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I flashed the latest firmware, after being unlocked, then rent back to bootloader, flashed recovery, went to recovery and installed file. Then restarted...now stuck in boot loop. It booted before I went to flash recovery in the new firmware just fine.
Do you need to flash something else when you flash recovery?
it says device is corrupt when I restart, but I was under the impression that screen comes up when bootloader is unlocked, so not sure if it means anything...

Every time I used ODIN 3.10.6 with Unibase or Unikernal it would say kernel is not SEAndroid enforcing and stick to a bootloop. If I use the CF auto root method it says Recovery is not SEAndroid enforcing and again bootloop.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI was trying to install a ROM and things got a bit messed up. I wiped system/cache/dalvik/data via TWRP. I then went to install the ROM but it failed due to only supporting hhz12h bootloader.
So now I'm kind of stuck. I can't update the bootloader because fastboot/ADB won't list the device in TWRP. Is there any way to launch an ADB server in TWRP so I can fastboot the bootloader? Doesn't look like there is.
If there's not: Is there a TWRP zip-install hhz12h bootloader I can use? Looked around, couldn't find one.
If not I'll have to try and find/flash the original image..but fastboot is not going to happen so I have to find a zip installable one that'll work with hhz12d bootloader...which hopefully is around. Otherwise I could install literally anything just to get an ADB server so I can fastboot the hhz12h bootloader in there.

When it reboots it looks like it automatically goes to the TWRP where it says it is running OpenRecoveryScript but it is unable to mount anything. I tried a boot start to Recovery and it worked but when i tried a factory reset it says the same thing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedFastboot recognizes my device, gives me confirmation of flash, but the device itself is not registering the commands and is stuck on "Connect USB Data Cable". I don't have my OEM cable and am using the iOrange-E C-A cable. I've tried different USB ports, restarting, etc.
fastboot says that the flash is successful, but the device never takes.
Is it possible to unlock bootloader, root, flash twrp and somehow flash the stock rom? If yes, where can I get the rom files for flashing with twrp?

I got the S6 Edge from t-mobile (g925st). I believe the OS crashed, the phone won't boot up. If I turn it on it will display the Samsung galaxy s6 edge logo and reboot again. I tried to go into recovery mode but it just reboots itself. The only mode I can go into is download mode.

I have tried everything from removing battery, removing SD CARD, SIM CARD, connecting to charger, connecting to USB cable on my laptop, holding volume up, home, and power button. My biggest fear is losing all my data. I have 100's of photos of my 3 month old newborn on my phone memory because I was running low on my SD CARD. I can't fathom losing all her newborn pictures.
I am currently running Resurrection Remix MM version. I would like to downgrade back to 511. Can I just flash a lollipop rom through recovery or I need to flash system image of lollipop first?
