Trying to root my Galaxy s6 SM-G920I India version but no luck. Had to restore stock firmware thrice today. Every time I used ODIN 3.10.6 with Unibase or Unikernal it would say kernel is not SEAndroid enforcing and stick to a bootloop. If I use the CF auto root method it says Recovery is not SEAndroid enforcing and again bootloop.
View 10 RepliesI had recently bought Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900H (Software Version: G900HXXU1ANCJ) but from the second day itself I am facing bootloop issue in the same. It works fine for sometime and then somehow it goes into the bootloop and I tried to hard reset the phone using recovery mode a couple of times and delete the data but again it gives me the same problem after a day or so. I want to flash the rom in the same. Which rom should I flash in the same and some instructions and the link to download the rom. Also do I need to root my phone to install the rom, I have enabled the USB Debugging from developer option, wouldn't that be suffice.

I got the stock firmware (G920FXXU1AOBN) downloaded and flashed with odin.. the phone comes to life...
I try to flash twrp. ... same story
What can be the cause of this ? Can't root or get custom recovery
Should I do the OTA update maybe and try ?
I tried rooting my Galaxy S5 SM-G900T and after the root process with Odin and TWRP in the last step when I rebooted the phone it got stuck on a boot loop in the Samsung logo, so I had no choice but to do a Factory reset which even the OS got deleted in the process. I'm downloading the 5.1.1 firmware for my phone on my computer but I have questions on how to install it on my phone now, because obviously PC is not recognizing my phone or it is not letting me access the storage or sd card once connected. I have Kies 3 in my pc and TWRP on the phone. Which way can I install the firmware on my phone again?

I DLd apps before I got my phone, not knowing I'd need root. I was using a file explorer last night to browse my phone, found the apps which remained untouched, then opened and used the installer...bam 2 apps installed, after DLing them using my laptop and transferring them to my phone. I tried something with another device I own - the Nexus 7 2012 - and that was using TWRP and remove all the files from "/". Of course, it would fail to remove everything (permissions?) and cause the device to freeze, but forcing reboot would allow to enter bootloader and flash everything fresh and lock the bootloader (I used Nexus Root Toolkit). It has not caused any obvious problems.
I was wondering what the best way would be to completely start fresh on my Nexus 5 while getting rid of all leftover files.
Do I need to backup data in order to be able to revert back to my stock Rom? My understanding is that if I did a backup of the System, Boot, EFS, and Cache then I should be fine. Only gripe is that my Apps and app data will be lost. Is that correct?

In Odin 3.10.6, which option do you select to flash TWRP? I'm assuming BL is for bootloader, CP is for modem - what do you use for the recovery? AP, CSC, or UMS. I don't want to select the wrong thing and brick my phone.
I am a rooted galaxy s5 with Verizon g900v on 4.4.4. I am trying to install twrp so that I can get a custom rom on my device. I am able to download the recovery file but when trying to flash the app crashes. I did enable the sd card patch and downloaded the required busy box and it is still not working!!!

I noticed it when i tried to install the Camera Mod. I tried flashing the zip, using TWRP.
It said, that the flashing was done succesfully, but nothing happened. I also tried it with anothter zip file, but still no change.
The folders which should have been changed doesn't show a change in the last changed dates etc.
I recently flashed xef 5.1.1 and ota'd to 6.0.1 and rooted with spacex kernel. My question is can i install twrp with flashify?
