I have ClockWord Mod Recovery installed and its V6.0.3..2. I wish to install a new ROM but it requires at least V6.0.4.5 and I can't seem to be able to upgrade. I was wondering if I change my recovery to TWRP and I manage to upgrade to the latest version?! I was wondering how do I actually convert ?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI got an m8 from a friend that had it rooted so he could use it unlocked on tmobile. I looked up how to get stock sense back onto it and successfully did that although the device is still rooted with TWRP as the custom recovery. How to get my m8 back to stock. like 100% stock. I want to be able to accept updates from att and have no trouble doing so. SO FAR i tried flashing a recovery image that i found.
I am not able to post links yet but it was the stock recovery firmware base version 1.12.502.18 for ATT from the website andromods which i read is the correct one.
I flashed the recovery image there^^^ and got the red triangle with the ! in it, then my phone restarted about 2 mins later and went back to the rooted sense 6 overlay i had but i still have TWRP on it. I thought i had bricked my phone at this point but it restarted.
So, how can I completely get rid of TWRP? I have a fastboot program already installed.
I just got my second hand Nexus 6p and the bootloader came unlocked and TWRP is installed. The updates don't work when TWRP is installed so I want to go back to the stock recovery.

I flashed the latest factory image, then flashed the latest TWRP but can access it 1 out of 10 tries.. What am I doing wrong? Is it a faulty replacement phone? Never had this issue with my other nexus 5 (same recovery file but lollipop and not marshmallow) and now I have this problem.. Tried to riflashato the factory image 5 times, boot to recovery without installing but nothing changed..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a G920F. It is rooted via odin flashing Unikernel. When I tried to flash TWRP via TWRP Manager (installed from the playstore), the phone would get into a bootloop. It got stuck at the Galaxy S6 screen, with the red line up on the top left corner saying "Recovery Seandroid not enforcing" or something like that. I had to use KIES to get it back up and running (no data loss). Now I rooted it again, and root was successful. I want to get TWRP flashed in order to install the custom ROMS. How do I do that now? I don't want to have to use KIES to recover my phone again. It is running 5.1.1 btw.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using G920I Australia version. I can successfully root using CF-Auto-Root.
But I can not get into TWRP recovery after I flashed that (tried both versions of the recovery) using odin. It stops at the first screen (samsung logo). I tried using adb commond reboot recovery and the hardware key (volum up+power+home), both of them do not let me in to the custom recovery.
I had tried enabled knox before flash TWRP, which made it into boot loop. And then recoveried using the official firmware. Now I can only get into the official recovery.
How to get into the TWRP? BTW, how to backup the pit file using adb? On previous models it was mmcblk0, but Galaxy S6 seems to have changed the memory map to sda1, sda2, etc.
I tried to update my phone to the latest version. I hit install from the notification, my phone reboots goes into TWRP recovery.... does nothing, then I have to "reboot into system" and then the phone boots up like normal. Without updating to 6.0.1.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I flashed the latest firmware, after being unlocked, then rent back to bootloader, flashed recovery, went to recovery and installed file. Then restarted...now stuck in boot loop. It booted before I went to flash recovery in the new firmware just fine.
Do you need to flash something else when you flash recovery?
it says device is corrupt when I restart, but I was under the impression that screen comes up when bootloader is unlocked, so not sure if it means anything...

Although the .nrw files can be viewed on the phone, they can't be editied, nor can I find any apps for my computer which will open them. I have a mobile me account that I purchased with the ipad 2 years ago but I don't think I have anything out there on mobile me. I want to start using icloud. Is there a disadvantage to not converting my mobile me account and just starting with an icloud account with the gmail address I have rather than a me.com email address. I have never really utilized the me.com email.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently bought an M9 and have been loving most of the features. I've used a WindowsPhone for the past ~3 years and wanted something different. For years now, I've been a part of a group text with a few friends. There were no issues with it on my old phone, but I'm running into some issues with the M9.
For example: When I open the group text, there's a bubble that says "Converting to MMS message" every time. This happens even if I just backed out of the message and re-entered it.
Every time I send a message, a loading icon pops up in the middle of the screen. After the loading icon goes away, the message that I sent has another icon inside of it that stays there for a few seconds. Eventually, that icon goes away too. Some of the messages that are sent to me by my friends come through as individual texts with a download link. If I follow the download link, it appears in the group text.
Scrolling through the group message is extremely choppy. Everything else on this phone has been smooth, this is the only thing I've noticed that doesn't load well
I cant remember the manual setup menu code (like ## something something, send) for Samsung first of all, so if someone could help me out with that I know I can do the rest myself.. But it was a phone once used for US cell and I want to use it on my Alltel plan. When I put the ESN on the verison website it keeps saying cannot activate the phone, but I am assuming its cuz I totally need to enter the manual setup first. Anyone know what that is? I've been searching on the forum for a while and cant seem to find it. After reading more I think I need to flash the phone to Alltel. I've used Bitpim before to edit things on phones before, is this what I am going to have to do? something with Bitpim?

I just upgraded to a 4S iphone and am giving my 3GS to my son to use as an iPod. I've created an email for him so he can iMessage but it won't receive/send through his email. I've changed every setting I can find. I think its trying to use the phone number even though its no longer has phone service which is why its giving the "Message Send Failure"
I already had iMessage turned on from when I was using the phone as a phone... I created the email and verified it through Apple as an email I want associated with my Apple ID. I went into Settings>Messages>Receive At and added his email address but it won't let me delete my phone number (which is now tied to another iPhone device). I also turned off Send as SMS.I also went to Settings>Messages>Receive At> Caller ID and changed the check mark to be next to his email instead of my number.
I went in the Settings>General>Network and turned off 3G and Cellular Data settings (which I don't think were affecting this, but should be off anyway if he's using it as an iPod.)
I tried going to Settings>Phone and deleting my number out but it won't let the blank remain empty. I tried changing the number to 0 (zero) and then when I opened messages again it immediate popped up a message saying "MMS Messaging Requires Your Phone Number Press Settings to go to your Phone Settings and enter your phone number"
The only thing I haven't done is add this email to the Mail settings, because I really don't want him receiving or sending emails, I only want him to be able to text his grandma, cousins, his dad and me. But I'm wondering if the fact that I haven't actually entered his email account password anywhere (like in a pop server?) is why it isn't working.

i got the 16gb memorycard so i thougt i'd convert some videoclips made with a proper videocamera that uses .mov format also got some snagged Internet clips in realtimeformat that id like to convert.i'm using avs videoconverter to do this.looking at a vidclip made with the phone i see it's saved in .3gp format. i load the .mov file and then save it to .3gp but it will not play on the phone
i've tried different settings on the screensize, audio quality and managed to get some bad quality audio to play but thats about as far as i get.theres alot of settings to change on both videocodecs and audiocodecs.trial and error method would just take to long.so what settings exactly should i use to get a converted file to behave on the x10 mini pro?

The Samsung message app converts long messages to MMS which ends ends up costing me. Can this be switched off? The Hangouts messaging app doesn't do this but I prefer the look of the Samsung app (personal preference).

1) Video Size, should it be same as screen resolution or something like 320x240?
2) Frame rate, should it be 30 or is 15 good enough?
3) Should i set the aspect ratio to 16:9 or leave it intact?
4) Change the bitrate or leave it as it is?
I could leave them in avi but each of them ranges from 600 mb to 4 gb.I am looking for good to excellent video quality and average to small size.
Got my 32 GB iPhone 4 yesterday and set up as a new device using the same playlist of music that I used on my 32 3gs. I check marked the box to convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC just like I had in the past with the 3gs. With the 3gs it brought a playlist consisting of 4625 songs at 26.70 GB down to 17 GB. With the iPhone 4 synced it does the same in the drop down menu under devices then iPhone in Music then at the bottom it lists the playlist that I use, both read 4625 songs at 17 GB. At the summary page with the bar at the bottom it reads I have 23.29 GB of audio on the iPhone and unplugging going to settings then about it reads 4625 songs at 23.29 GB. So I only have 4.48 GB free when I should have around 9 or 10. I resynced twice to see if it would change with the same outcome, restored the device and called apple care with no answer on why it reads different.Going to the Apple Store tomorrow unless one of you has a solution to this.

I hate the delay and the "loading" message it gives when sending a message. Or are group messages required to be mms instead of sms?
