View 4 Replies View RelatedSorry if this was asked before.I am trying to Convert some of my movies from avi to mp4 to play on the mobile and wish to ask you the following.What would be the optimal settings (of the following) for the 5530 with it's 360 x 640 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio:
1) Video Size, should it be same as screen resolution or something like 320x240?
2) Frame rate, should it be 30 or is 15 good enough?
3) Should i set the aspect ratio to 16:9 or leave it intact?
4) Change the bitrate or leave it as it is?
I could leave them in avi but each of them ranges from 600 mb to 4 gb.I am looking for good to excellent video quality and average to small size.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Windows 7, fully updated with as far as I can tell a fully updated version of the N86. Recently got new firmware, but can't say for sure if this is when the problems started.
The problem I have is I am unable to connect the phone to the PC and get it to work with either Ovi of PC Suite. I have tried re-installing the drivers, but every time I plug it in, all I get is a Windows message installing drivers, and then a message saying S60 handset is installed, and a Windows screen giving me options such as file transfer etc.
If I try and connect in either Ovi or PC Suite, it can see the phone but says it is not in PC suite mode, even though I have selected this option on the phone. I have a feeling that Windows is installing a generic S60 driver, rather than a model specific one, and this is what is causing the problem, but I can't find a model specific driver anywhere.
This phone has been working on this PC before, and I seem to remember it installing 3 or 4 drivers when first connected, but now it only installs an "MTP USB Device" driver. Any help would be appreciated, because at the moment all I can do is transfer files. No backups, no syncs, nothing with either Ovi or PC Suite, the only access I have is through Microsofts own explorer.
My 5800 is completely original. It responds to all the Nokia commands, PC suite and Ovi Suite identifies it, I was able to update its firmware to the latest every time its available, it does everything a 5800 is supposed to be, works like a charm every time. Now the thing is, the product code on the back is 0565881, which the Nokia can-i-update site says belongs to a version of the 6210 Navigator. Although the .nrw files can be viewed on the phone, they can't be editied, nor can I find any apps for my computer which will open them. View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently bought an M9 and have been loving most of the features. I've used a WindowsPhone for the past ~3 years and wanted something different. For years now, I've been a part of a group text with a few friends. There were no issues with it on my old phone, but I'm running into some issues with the M9.
For example: When I open the group text, there's a bubble that says "Converting to MMS message" every time. This happens even if I just backed out of the message and re-entered it.
Every time I send a message, a loading icon pops up in the middle of the screen. After the loading icon goes away, the message that I sent has another icon inside of it that stays there for a few seconds. Eventually, that icon goes away too. Some of the messages that are sent to me by my friends come through as individual texts with a download link. If I follow the download link, it appears in the group text.
Scrolling through the group message is extremely choppy. Everything else on this phone has been smooth, this is the only thing I've noticed that doesn't load well
I cant remember the manual setup menu code (like ## something something, send) for Samsung first of all, so if someone could help me out with that I know I can do the rest myself.. But it was a phone once used for US cell and I want to use it on my Alltel plan. When I put the ESN on the verison website it keeps saying cannot activate the phone, but I am assuming its cuz I totally need to enter the manual setup first. Anyone know what that is? I've been searching on the forum for a while and cant seem to find it. After reading more I think I need to flash the phone to Alltel. I've used Bitpim before to edit things on phones before, is this what I am going to have to do? something with Bitpim?

I just upgraded to a 4S iphone and am giving my 3GS to my son to use as an iPod. I've created an email for him so he can iMessage but it won't receive/send through his email. I've changed every setting I can find. I think its trying to use the phone number even though its no longer has phone service which is why its giving the "Message Send Failure"
I already had iMessage turned on from when I was using the phone as a phone... I created the email and verified it through Apple as an email I want associated with my Apple ID. I went into Settings>Messages>Receive At and added his email address but it won't let me delete my phone number (which is now tied to another iPhone device). I also turned off Send as SMS.I also went to Settings>Messages>Receive At> Caller ID and changed the check mark to be next to his email instead of my number.
I went in the Settings>General>Network and turned off 3G and Cellular Data settings (which I don't think were affecting this, but should be off anyway if he's using it as an iPod.)
I tried going to Settings>Phone and deleting my number out but it won't let the blank remain empty. I tried changing the number to 0 (zero) and then when I opened messages again it immediate popped up a message saying "MMS Messaging Requires Your Phone Number Press Settings to go to your Phone Settings and enter your phone number"
The only thing I haven't done is add this email to the Mail settings, because I really don't want him receiving or sending emails, I only want him to be able to text his grandma, cousins, his dad and me. But I'm wondering if the fact that I haven't actually entered his email account password anywhere (like in a pop server?) is why it isn't working.

i got the 16gb memorycard so i thougt i'd convert some videoclips made with a proper videocamera that uses .mov format also got some snagged Internet clips in realtimeformat that id like to convert.i'm using avs videoconverter to do this.looking at a vidclip made with the phone i see it's saved in .3gp format. i load the .mov file and then save it to .3gp but it will not play on the phone
i've tried different settings on the screensize, audio quality and managed to get some bad quality audio to play but thats about as far as i get.theres alot of settings to change on both videocodecs and audiocodecs.trial and error method would just take to long.so what settings exactly should i use to get a converted file to behave on the x10 mini pro?

The Samsung message app converts long messages to MMS which ends ends up costing me. Can this be switched off? The Hangouts messaging app doesn't do this but I prefer the look of the Samsung app (personal preference).
View 2 Replies View RelatedGot my 32 GB iPhone 4 yesterday and set up as a new device using the same playlist of music that I used on my 32 3gs. I check marked the box to convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC just like I had in the past with the 3gs. With the 3gs it brought a playlist consisting of 4625 songs at 26.70 GB down to 17 GB. With the iPhone 4 synced it does the same in the drop down menu under devices then iPhone in Music then at the bottom it lists the playlist that I use, both read 4625 songs at 17 GB. At the summary page with the bar at the bottom it reads I have 23.29 GB of audio on the iPhone and unplugging going to settings then about it reads 4625 songs at 23.29 GB. So I only have 4.48 GB free when I should have around 9 or 10. I resynced twice to see if it would change with the same outcome, restored the device and called apple care with no answer on why it reads different.Going to the Apple Store tomorrow unless one of you has a solution to this.
