I am trying to set up lync 2010 on my new galaxy S6. App settings/options button is not visible. Phone has no hardware settings button (Samsung used long press on recent apps button for something else!). Need these settings to use Lync.
After a update now if i touch the home button regularly it pops up google now I have to quickly tap the button to go home. I tried nova launcher but no change.
I just set up Exchange 2010 and it runs greats supports SSL for IMAP POP and Activesync. IMAP is great because you have access to all your Inbox folders (with Active Sync / Exchange you can only have 1 such mailbox - blows). I've set up IMAP to my server on Android and BBs for my company clients - works great. I use IMAP at home with Outlook - great! I set up my Nokia Belle C7 and it pulls 20 random old messages off the server. I cannot figure out why it refuses to update the inbox contents.
I set to subscribe to all my other IMAP inbox folders no prob, it sees them. It outright refuses to see anything but the random old messages in my inbox? Whats going on? My phone is C7 Belle updated completely. I set up the account again as a "Hotmail" account and specified the exchange server - works very well and syncs well. Here you don't have access to any Inbox folders. Is this a bug with Nokia IMAP and exchange? I have another IMAP account which does work with Nokia.
I did an upgrade to v5.0.0.680 on my Blackberry 9700 and after that my Standby - Mute button not working also the Email Setup is missing an option to add a personal account it only giving me option to add "Blackberry Enterprise Server."
I am one of 5 people I know with galaxy sII. 2 of us have no problems with mms but the other 3 receive mms and the attached photo is not visible and a "downloading" message is in the message and the picture never actually ever appears. When the same people try to send an message with a photo attached it just says "sending" indefinitely until deleted. We have compared what functions are "ticked" in the message settings and we all have "auto retrieve" ticked and nothing else ticked. Is there something else that needs to be done?
recently installed Lyncwhen it became available as an update on Nokia Suite. We use Lync at the company I work for, and the company allows personal mobile devices to connect to the service. I completed all the fields required to sign-in, but I never got signed-in or connected. The startup screen just tells me for 5-10 minutes that it is initiating a session, and then that it is trying to connect. This is where it gets stuck and idles forever. I tried to connect both while connected to a wifi network and to my provider's 3G network.I asked the support staff at my company and they told me to try again providing the internal and external discovery address url..., but this didn't work either. I was also asked to try connecting to my account from two different Android devices, one with the same service provider I have and the other with a different service provider, and I was able to connect. I also tried to connect using a different phone (also a Nokia N8 running Symbian Belle) and, again, it failed to sign-in/connect. That's where we found out that nobody using a Nokia running on Symbian can connect to the Lync server in our company, while all iPhone and Android users can.
Of course, while trying to connect from my phone, we tried many different variations: entering username and domain in their own fields and only on the username field (domainusername), checking and unchecking the registration option, using the IP address for the server instead of its name, etc., etc. Nothing worked. The support staff also confirmed that the Lync server has all the latest mobility components installed, as specified here: Set up Lync for mobile devices.
I have the latest version of Lync installed (4.2.6609.0000). When installing the app (I have tried deleting and reinstalling several times) the app does not ask me if I wish to receive push notifications. Therefore I assume this is the reason it does not appear in notification center and therefore unless actually in the app I do not see chats if in screen lock or another app etc. On the previous version of Lync I had the same problem. However, I found that if I loaded Lync, powered off, powered back on again and reloaded Lync I could get it to appear in Notification Center and it worked in the background/screenlock etc. Is there a way to force it into Notification Center so it will work in the background? When deleting I use app center via 3G so do not connect to a PC etc.
I recently got my BB Curve 9380, ever since I got my BB I have been trying to install Microsoft Lync on my device with no luck at all. I did some searching on Google and ended up at http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/server/exchange/ocs2007.jsp. I did the things as mentioned in above URL but couldn't quite successful yet.
I am having a serious problem with my Galaxy S6. The keyboard and any pop up menu for selection are not visible. I can see the keyboard and any selection menu when I rotate the screen then it vanishes very quickly.
I have disabled keyboard, cleared data and cache then restarted but it doesn't seem to work.
I have wiped all the cache partition, done a factory reset, flashed a stock 5.1.1 but the problem still exists.
I'm having Outlook 2010 and Galaxy S6 sync problems (which doesn't seem rare.) I've tried two apps:
Android-Sync - can't get it installed. (Sent error log to their tech support.).
AkrutoSync - doesn't update changes in Outlook. When I hit "sync now" the edited contacts say "synched" at current time, but nothing changes. ALSO: All calendar events are doubled.
After days of searching I have been successf in syncing contacts, calendar, and tasks on my Samsung Android phone (Galaxy S5) with Outlook 2010 on my Windows 7 Desktop using the following tools and procedure:
Install Samsung's Android "SmartSwitch" app on the phone
Install Samsung's Windows "SmartSwitch" application on the desktop
Configure the Windows "SmartSwitch" application to sync the desired outlook data. After the phone and desktop applications are installed and configured, connect the phone to the desktop using an appropriate USB cable. Windows plug and play may or may not correctly recognize the phone, but the SmartSwitch application should connect to the phone's client app and initiate the data transfer.
On the phone, email, contacts, and calendar applications will readily display and update the Outlook data from your desktop. Unfortunately, accessibility of Outlook's "To Do" task list is somewhat obscure due to Samsung's non-intuitive UI and menu organization. To access Outlook's "To Do" task list, using the phone's Calendar app:
Tap the timeframe (Day, Week, Month, Year) text in the upper left screen header. In the resulting drop-down, tap "Agenda" and the screen will display an agenda of dated Calendar events and "Agenda" in the upper left screen header.Tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper right screen header
In the resulting drop-down, tap "Filter by" and select "Tasks" in the resulting pop-up and the screen will now display undated tasks in the main window. Although I did not see this documented anywhere, apparently the programmers define Events as "date-associated" list items, and "Tasks" and undated list items. To return the screen display back to Events (dated list items), tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper right screen header and select either "Events" or "All" in the resulting pop-up.
To return the screen display back to Calendar mode, Tap the word "Agenda" in the upper left screen header and select the desired calendar timeframe (Day, Week, Month, Year) from the resulting drop-down.
I noticed that after going through this process once, when the main display is in "Agenda" mode I have an "Undated" section at the top of the display. When "Undated" is tapped, the section expands to display all of your undated Outlook tasks.how to maintain the Outlook's hierarchy of folder names (the grouping of each task) in the imported data.
I am looking to sync my S5 with my outlook 2010 calendar and contacts. Don't care about the email (frankly I don't want to be able to reached at all times for work requests). I think the software that I want to use is Kies. I have a few concerns that I want to clear up before using.
1 - I do not want my phone to overwrite what is on the computer. That would be a disaster. How do I prevent this from happening?
2 - I have many different calendars on my outlook and only want to sync one of them. How can I do this?
3 - What else should I watch out for before syncing. I want to avoid any hiccups if at all possible. Losing the work calendar would result in some mass chaos for a few weeks.
When browsing trough one of my favourite news sites, I noticed when pressing the return button, it does the same as the recent apps button. It brings up the list of all my recently used apps.
I have tried a bunch of things like clearing the cache, getting a third party app to get a return button on the screen, even a full factory reset.
I have an 4s, it is unlocked so I didnt want to go with expensive contracts like O2. So I am using a cheap contract from company called TalkMobile. If this cant be done then need to be fixed by Apple.
Can connect to wifi with my i phone 4s (IOS 7.1.1). Cant even push the button for activating the wifi at the settings. is it possible that the new ios 7 does not match to i phone 4s ? what can i do ? (i have already rested my i phone)
A friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.
I have several apps that show in the Accessibility section that are to be turned on. The problem is that the OK button is not available. It does mention something about Talkback. I had this disabled but enabled it again, but it made no difference.I'm on Lollipop but this may have been happening in KK as well.
I updated my GS5 to Lollipop, I haven't been able to transfer files to or from the phone through USB. When it connects to my computer all it does is charge now, and the computer doesn't recognize the GS5 as a mass storage device, as a phone....nothing. This used to be simple before the update, and as much as I searched through the phones settings and options, I can't find any settings regarding MTP.
I have started suddenly getting old android type swype lockscreen with SOS BUTTON in center. I never opened SOS settings. On checking sos settings it is off. How to remove this lockscreen?
