I've tried turning off the screen lock pattern recognition by Settings -> Location and security and making sure Use visible pattern is unchecked ...
but the screen still locks and when I try to unlock it it shows the patern recognition dots .
I forget my Samsung Galaxy S5 pattern lock. So. I can not use my phone. How can I remove pattern lock.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been using the pattern screen lock since I got my mopho in november. It's been working smoothly until now. I recently decided to change it, so I go to settings put in a new pattern and confirm it no problem. I locked it to try it out and now when I press on the first circle it doesn't light up and it doesn't show a trail behind it. The screen also shuts off in 3 seconds. Now I can't unlock my phone. I'm not running any lockers or launchers just stock android. I searched google and these forums for lock screen bugs but I haven't found anything similar to my situation.

I have tried to use Sony PC Companion but for that you need to have your screen unlocked and I can't unlock it because I don't know the pattern. I have also tried to enter a code in the emergency call section to try unlock it and it didn't work.

Tried a couple of "fixes" but every time re-setup the corporate, the pattern screen lock goes away. Is there a way around this? I tried setting up the webmail a different way, but that won't get the email. Since losing the fingerprint scanner, I really became partial to the pattern lock/unlock.

I tried de-selecting all the apps listed in Device Administrators but no luck. I even removed my work email (Corporate Sync) and then restarted the phone...again...no luck. Right now I have PIN and Fingerprint setup.

Is there a way to eliminate the standard unlock feature, so that I don't have to go thru 2 unlock screens to get to the homescreen? On my original Droid, once I programmed the lock pattern in, the standard one went away; not so with this one.

Enough to put anyone in a great mood.Fixing the screen isn't the problem though. 02 have agreed to fix it for me, for a small fee, but they have confirmed that the whole phone will be flashed before hand. View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since the ICS update, whenever I select a text or something in the notification bar it asks me to enter my lock screen pattern. I use an app called no lock so it's easy to turn off when I'm at home and don't need the security. When I have the locking turned off and turn the screen off and on it doesn't ask for the pattern like it shouldn't. But whenever I select something in the notification bar i have to enter the pattern. I have tried different lock screens but it does it for all but the slide i think.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am one of 5 people I know with galaxy sII. 2 of us have no problems with mms but the other 3 receive mms and the attached photo is not visible and a "downloading" message is in the message and the picture never actually ever appears. When the same people try to send an message with a photo attached it just says "sending" indefinitely until deleted. We have compared what functions are "ticked" in the message settings and we all have "auto retrieve" ticked and nothing else ticked. Is there something else that needs to be done?

Yesterday the screen lock disabled by itself and no password was needed to get on phone. In addition, the Unlock effect "Water droplet" turned on.
I have a Samsung S6 Edge. Every time I turn on GPS, either High Accuracy or Battery Saver.. whenever I lock my phone... i lose that GPS signal. Everytime time I wake it back up or unlock it..i will see a "searching for location", then a "location found". This happens for ALL application, Google Maps, Verizon Navigotor, MapMyRun, etc. This is very frustrating as I use these apps all the time and I cant keep my phone 'unlocked' as then the screen is active and I would accidently click things.
ADDITIONALLY, after using the GPS, I will then shut off the location feature and then my phone will continually say "searching for location", even with location off. I close all my current applications etc.. and it still says searching. This message does not go away until i turn back on location or restart my phone.
When I go to location settings, i see "recent location requests" of "Google Play services" and Location Services of "Google Location History".. that is it!
I am about to the point of wiping out my phone and starting over. (which i dont want to do). I have not battery saver or app killers downloaded on my phone so that cant be it.
Just recently I started getting game ads on my app lock screen and I don't know why this has happened. I downloaded the All-in-one-toolbox and the ad-detect and I was wondering when I go to the ad-detect, do I have to uninstall of the app's with ad's on them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyway, last night I set my alarm as I normally do before bed and this morning I over slept by a disgusting amount because somehow all of my apps had spontaneously crashed while I was asleep! The force close notification kept coming up for a number of different applications before I was forced to simply turn it off. When I turned it on again a few seconds later, most of my settings had been wiped along with much of the data kept on the actual phone memory. Some stuff was still there, like all my apps, my connections and passwords, but my home screen was defaulted, as were my message tone, ring tone and input settings. Also gone were any phone numbers I had stored on the phone itself as well as all of my inbox messages.
So, I went into the settings to put my screen lock back on because I noticed that had been reset, too. I did the normal routine, picked the pattern, confirmed it and so on. But after I put my phone down and locked the screen, when I picked it back up again and pressed the home key to activate the screen, it was just unlocked. I didn't have to input the unlock pattern. However, when I went back into the settings to make sure they were all okay, it made me enter the unlock pattern to get into it! How odd.
have the pattern code set and it used to just time out if i forgot the code or got it wrong but i had to do a factory reset the other day and now it asks for theG mail password instead of timing out.
How do i get the phone to offer both options again also why have i got to be signed in to g mail on the pc for the phone to accept the password?
