In ics 4.0.4 I have lock with pattern and active desk dock. When I have mail or other with notication message in notification bar I can tap over message. After that i see message and I get control on phone without know security pattern.
View 4 RepliesEver since the ICS update, whenever I select a text or something in the notification bar it asks me to enter my lock screen pattern. I use an app called no lock so it's easy to turn off when I'm at home and don't need the security. When I have the locking turned off and turn the screen off and on it doesn't ask for the pattern like it shouldn't. But whenever I select something in the notification bar i have to enter the pattern. I have tried different lock screens but it does it for all but the slide i think.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been using the pattern screen lock since I got my mopho in november. It's been working smoothly until now. I recently decided to change it, so I go to settings put in a new pattern and confirm it no problem. I locked it to try it out and now when I press on the first circle it doesn't light up and it doesn't show a trail behind it. The screen also shuts off in 3 seconds. Now I can't unlock my phone. I'm not running any lockers or launchers just stock android. I searched google and these forums for lock screen bugs but I haven't found anything similar to my situation.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI finally figured out why the pattern screen unlock is getting grayed out on my A2. I am using corporate email to fetch webmail from ky.gov. Tried a couple of "fixes" but every time re-setup the corporate, the pattern screen lock goes away. Is there a way around this? I tried setting up the webmail a different way, but that won't get the email. Since losing the fingerprint scanner, I really became partial to the pattern lock/unlock.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to 2.3.4, I am not able to change screen lock to "pattern". Option for "Pattern" is disabled and says Disabled by remote phone administrator. I tried de-selecting all the apps listed in Device Administrators but no luck. I even removed my work email (Corporate Sync) and then restarted the phone...again...no luck. Right now I have PIN and Fingerprint setup.

Is there a way to eliminate the standard unlock feature, so that I don't have to go thru 2 unlock screens to get to the homescreen? On my original Droid, once I programmed the lock pattern in, the standard one went away; not so with this one.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery since I upgraded my Droid RAZR MAXX to ICS I've been having a problem playing music that is saved on my 32-Gig SD card. Prior to the upgrade I didn't have the problem. 8 out of 10 songs will skip for 2 seconds after playing for 10 seconds. The 10 seconds is consistent, but as I said 8 out of 10 songs will skip.
When the skipping occurs the device is totally unresponsive; screen and buttons (including power). After the skipping the song will play without any problems. It doesn't appear to be song specific as I've had the same song skip and then not skip. I'm using Verizon's My Music, but the same thing happens with Play Music and PowerAmp. I even fiddled with PowerAmp settings to have a large buffer and increased the priority without any change in the skipping.
I have forgotten my screen lock pattern on my Sony Xperia Z3 and I can have access to my information now.

I have tried to use Sony PC Companion but for that you need to have your screen unlocked and I can't unlock it because I don't know the pattern. The setting is toggled to lock automatically after 5 seconds of the screen going off and immediately if you hit the power button.Settings under security)The problem is that randomly when you turn it back on, it will show the standard slide to unlock screen instead of the pin screen and then will just unlock if you slide it; completely bypasses the security lock.I don't think I set anything incorrectly as it behaves as intended 95% of the time. I can then unlock my phone by selecting a Notification. As you can see in the picture I am able pull down the Notification Curtain while my phone is locked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got the Droid RAZR HD MAXX, and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing stuttering on the home screen. Specifically, it happens when swiping to the Quick Settings and Manage Pages screens. After I swipe once to the screen, it seems to be smooth when going back and forth, it's just the initial showing of the screen when I notice it. Then going to different apps and then back to the home screen, I'll see it happen again. It's not a deal breaker, but it just makes the phone seem "slower" than it actually is. Also, the Circles widget seems to look choppy at some points as well, during the weather animation or when flipping the clock.
View 12 Replies View RelatedThe screen goes to sleep after the specified time (default of 30 seconds, I have not changed that) even when on a call (both normal calling or when on speaker) Problem is, the only way to activate the screen again is to hit the power key, but this also hangs up the call. Is this a feature/bug, and is there a way around this issue? I don't really want to change the time to sleep to a longer time, as this would waste the battery for other use.

I prefer that the only screen lock on my phone is the slider, but suddenly this option has gone away. When I hit the lock button, I expect that my phone's screen will go off and in order to turn it back on, I need to hit the lock button again and slide to unlock it. I do not want to enter a pattern, a pin, or a password. In order to get the slide lock to consistently show up after hitting the lock button, I need to add a pattern, pin or password. The slide lock will show up, but I also have to enter the pattern, pin or password after unlocking with the slide lock if the security lock timer setting has elapsed.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue where i receive the standard unlock screen even though I have a password configured. If I use the slide menu I am never prompted for my password. There are also times when the normal unlock screen will flash up and then go straight to my password.
Current configuration: PIN, lock screen after 5 sec, lock immediatly on power press.

Then, when the proximity sensor was triggered when you removed the phone from your face, the screen would light-up, the phone screen woudl be present, and you would simply end the call. Now, when I remove the phone from my face I find the lock-screen, so I must first unlock it before I can end the call. I have searched for a settings to fix this and cannot locate what I need
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe have two razr's both have all the same apps. We use chompsms as our texting app. On one phone it shows on the lock screen (Pic below) on the other it does not. BOTH have the stock app unchecked for default app, neither have disabled the stock app because it causes MMS problems. how one of us has it on our home lock screen and the other can't get it to do that? We didn't go to any settings to do it. BOTH of us had to do a master reset on our phones since the ICS update.
I've compared our settings and they seem to match it's really weird.
