Nokia Lumia :: APN Settings - How To Edit Or Remove
Dec 12, 2012I have gone to Settings>Access Point to try and edit APN as my MMS sends but does not receive on Vodafone. There appears to be no way to Edit or Delete APN's already on the phone?? No little '..' to press on at the bottom right. The phone I have is an unlocked one from Clove UK. why I cannot edit/delete an APN? got MMS on Vodafone working?

Dec 3, 2011Just recently I have had a problem with being able to edit my email settings, when I go to main menu > set up > Email accounts it comes up with a username and password. I assume the username that it is requesting would be an email address so I've tried all of mine and all of my passwords in the box, it doesn't seem to be accepting any of them. Also according to my service provider and my sisters blackberry it's not supposed to be requesting any type of username or password there. I have three email accounts: Google mail, Window's live mail and my blackberry email account. My service provider is 3 UK.

Nov 6, 2013I need to edit the default gateway setting for one of my wireless networks as there is a repeater that for some reason only allows me to connect to a handful of networks but if I'm nearer to it than the main wifi router the phone switches to it. I want to just manually set the default gateway as the main modem router like I have done on my laptop but don't seem to be able to edit the settings in Windows Phone 8 - they're all greyed out.

Aug 19, 2010Anyone else missing the 'Edit Signature' option under Email Settings on their 9650? I just noticed this afternoon it's not there. I'm running 5.0.0.810 on BES.Not sure how long it has been missing; if it has been gone since June since I switched from my 8330 to this 9650 or if it was when I upgraded from .732 to .810.
Just wanted to check, I'll probably try downgrading back to .732 to see if it brings it back.I've actually only got three options under Email Settings; Enable HTML, Download images and Confirm external image download.

Nov 16, 2010I'm getting the following message "your device encountered a problem with this application's server" when I try to add an email in Email settings. This problem is occurring since 15-NOV-2010. I'm using O2 service provider. i've called them and reported this problem. O2 service provider did all possible troubleshooting and they advices everything is ok on their side. They don't know why am I getting this message.not able to add an email or edit my existing email settings.

Dec 3, 2015I downloaded a song from iTunes onto my Samsung Galaxy S6. Now, I want to assign this song as my wife's personal ringtone, but I want the song to start at a certain part of it, 1 minute and 35 seconds to be precise. However, my phone only gives me the options of 1) Playing from the Beginning or 2) Playing a Highlighted portion of the song, which randomly selects a certain spot, the same spot and a spot I did not choose, every time I select Highlight.
My question, is there a way to edit this song in the way I have described above? To be exact: I select Ringtone in Settings, then I select Media Storage when a pop-up at the bottom appears saying "Complete action using..." and gives me a choice of Media Storage or Zedge. I scroll all the way down the ringtone list and select "+ Add ringtone," and again that pop-up appears but this time it is asking if I want Sound Picker, Cloud, or Zedge. I select Sound Picker, which takes me to a list of other songs and this is where I have the problem with trying to edit the song.

IPhone :: Close The Red Eye Edit Feature If Need To Cancel The Edit?
Jun 19, 2012Using iOS 5.1.1 on iPhone 3GS. I was browsing through my pictures in the photo album and noticed the edit feature, I wasn't sure what the buttons at the bottom were for so I clicked the red circle and realized it is the red eye edit tool. But it took me to a full screen of the picture and tells me to click on the red eyes and to click twice to undo, but after lots of clicking I can't seem to get the screen to go back to my normal photo album. How do I close this feature? I can access my camera roll through the camera but not through the photo album. Even after hitting my home key and trying to get back in it still takes me to the picture that is in edit mode.

Oct 6, 2015I visit a web page daily and I would like a direct shortcut to it from my home screen. Unfortunately the actual URL changes every day, and the website takes care of the details by changing the URL from a generic one to a specific URL based on the current date. All I have to do is navigate to the generic URL (by clicking on the website's menu), and the correct URL is formulated.
I would like to add this generic URL to my home screen. However, when the page loads it's already too late to save a shortcut to home screen, because the URL has changed. And I cannot find a way to edit the URL before the shortcut is created, or later.

Sep 6, 2015I got a new Galaxy S5 about a year ago and put my old SIM card in it to transfer my contacts. The SIM card was used in a Motorola Atrix HD and a Nokia Lumia 520. I need to update and delete some of the original contacts that I put on the SIM card when I was using the two previous phones. However, my Galaxy S5 simply will not register any of the changes. If I choose to delete one of the contacts, it says "The contact will be deleted" but then nothing happens. If I try to edit one of the contacts, it says "Unable to save contact."
This issue only occurs when attempting to edit contacts that were added to the SIM card on either of the two previous phones. If I try to edit or delete a contact that I added using my Galaxy S5, everything works just fine. It sounds like this is an authentication/security issue of some kind, but how do I get around it?

Feb 8, 2015I had been having some difficulty editing the 'location' on my upcoming events - I'd touch the 'save' button, the app would seem to respond correctly, but the change wouldn't stick. (Other edits, such as time or date, seemed to process properly)
Well, I think I may have found the answer. My calendar app is one I use all through the day, and so it's always on the new Lollipop app/website switcher carousel. Any app on that carousel is fixed in its last state. This must have consequences where are links with other apps - in this case Maps. The existing link stays intact until the app is truly closed.
Editing an event's location is therefore not possible unless Business Calendar is first closed, accomplished by simply removing it from the carousel. Then the event can be successfully updated. (Immediately afterwards, of course, the app is back on that carousel)
This may be a general problem/solution where the app/website switcher is concerned.

When it connects to my computer all it does is charge now, and the computer doesn't recognize the GS5 as a mass storage device, as a phone....nothing.
