Galaxy S6 :: Any Way To Edit Where Send Button Is On Text Message?
Apr 27, 2015Coming from a blackberry and am used to the send button always being in the bottom right, and can't understand why anyone would need an 'enter' button on a text message. Is there anyway to edit it to replace the current 'enter' button with a send button?

Sep 22, 2011Time ago I´ve used to have only 1 mail account set on my blackberry, a gmail account (xxxxx@gmail.com), and used the google sync (url...) to synchronize contacts between the smartphone and the webmail account. It has been working like a charm for a long time. At that time, I could create and edit contacts and the changes got synchronized in both sites.A month ago I decided to create through Google Apps an email address with my own internet domain (xxxxx@xxxxxxxx.com), and decided to add this email address to the smartphone to check both accounts. The first surprise came when I noted that adding this email address (following the procedure to add any email address) has caused the BB to activate it, like BES mode, against the gmail server.Suddenly I discovered that I cant create nor edit contacts in BB, but I can in the webmail interface of the google apps email address. The contact created using the web interface is syncronized to the BB.The issue is that I cant create nor edit contacts in the smartphone!

Aug 20, 2010I use my BB for personal use only. The email account I have registered on the phone is my gmail account. Just today, I noticed I can no longer send (compose new or reply) emails using this account on my phone. I get the following message in the email I attempt to send:

I can receieve my gmail messages on my phone no problem. My gmail account login information is correct on the phone.
I've tried searching for this problem but what I find always seems to be related to enterprise configurations using an Exchange Server and the fix was for the Exchange server. That doesn't fit my scenario.

Dec 3, 2015I downloaded a song from iTunes onto my Samsung Galaxy S6. Now, I want to assign this song as my wife's personal ringtone, but I want the song to start at a certain part of it, 1 minute and 35 seconds to be precise. However, my phone only gives me the options of 1) Playing from the Beginning or 2) Playing a Highlighted portion of the song, which randomly selects a certain spot, the same spot and a spot I did not choose, every time I select Highlight.
My question, is there a way to edit this song in the way I have described above? To be exact: I select Ringtone in Settings, then I select Media Storage when a pop-up at the bottom appears saying "Complete action using..." and gives me a choice of Media Storage or Zedge. I scroll all the way down the ringtone list and select "+ Add ringtone," and again that pop-up appears but this time it is asking if I want Sound Picker, Cloud, or Zedge. I select Sound Picker, which takes me to a list of other songs and this is where I have the problem with trying to edit the song.

IPhone :: Close The Red Eye Edit Feature If Need To Cancel The Edit?
Jun 19, 2012Using iOS 5.1.1 on iPhone 3GS. I was browsing through my pictures in the photo album and noticed the edit feature, I wasn't sure what the buttons at the bottom were for so I clicked the red circle and realized it is the red eye edit tool. But it took me to a full screen of the picture and tells me to click on the red eyes and to click twice to undo, but after lots of clicking I can't seem to get the screen to go back to my normal photo album. How do I close this feature? I can access my camera roll through the camera but not through the photo album. Even after hitting my home key and trying to get back in it still takes me to the picture that is in edit mode.

But I have one question; When I delete messages do they get archived or do they get sent to trash? there's no option to specify this in settings as there is with the IMAP setup.

Jul 16, 2011I'm using a Blackberry Bold 9000 from work, so I have no ability to install applications and no access to a web or PC interface. The device is connected via AT&T. I set up my personal Gmail account as a second inbox in addition to my work inbox, with only the work email showing in the main inbox. It was working fine until yesterday. I deleted two Gmail messages at once but the Gmail inbox appeared to hang on the message indicating it was deleting the second message. I was able to get out of the Gmail inbox to get to other applications, but the deleting message persisted when I went back into Gmail. I resorted to a battery pull to try to stop the process. When i booted back up, I still had both inbox icons. Opening the Gmail inbox shows an empty message list, but if I search that inbox leaving the search fields blank, it shows all of my messages in the search results. I cannot get the messages to appear without searching for them or setting them to show in my main indox, which I don't want to do.
I have tried repeated battery pulls, soft reset, deleting and recreating the Gmail account on the BB, deleting and resending the service books, and tweaking the synchronization settings for the Gmail account (calendar and contacts), all without success. What else can I try to make my message list appear?

Jun 2, 2012I can't send/receive emails on my BlackBerry Curve. I got a message from BlackBerry that I have to validate my gmail password but when I follow the instructions, I can't get it to work. I go to "setup wizard" then to "email settings". It says if I want to access my email, to enter my user and password. I've tried all the user ID's that I would have used but nothing works. When I click on "forgot password" and go through that, it tells me it's sent my password has been sent to my BlackBerry, but it doesn't come.

May 14, 2011I had a message on the general message screen telling me that my gmail password needed to be validated. i never had a problem receiving gmail to my general messages before this. I rarely use the gmail app on the phone because it tends to use more battery than the general message space. Here is what I did:
1. I went to email settings and tried to put in the password. I got a message telling me that the password was not valid even though I know it is the correct password. So I tried again.
2. I turned my phone off and then back on and tried again - same message appeared. I read further and it said that if the problem persisted I needed to contact gmail.
3. I next did a battery pull. The same message appeared again when I tried again - and again!
4. I deleted my gmail account from the phone, turned the phone off, turned it back on and then tried to reenter the gmail account and password. It told me that that gmail account was already in the phone - but the password still would not validate.
5. I changed my gmail password on my computer, tried to input the new password into the account on the phone and that didn't work either!

Unfortunately the actual URL changes every day, and the website takes care of the details by changing the URL from a generic one to a specific URL based on the current date. All I have to do is navigate to the generic URL (by clicking on the website's menu), and the correct URL is formulated.
I would like to add this generic URL to my home screen. However, when the page loads it's already too late to save a shortcut to home screen, because the URL has changed. And I cannot find a way to edit the URL before the shortcut is created, or later.

I have a gmail account set up on my Bold 9650 and everything works properly EXCEPT that I cannot get it to show me the message count of unread messages (which usually should show up in parenthesis when I scroll over the account envelope icon). It seems that this is an issue with the Bold 9650 in particular because I have gotten the gmail unread message count to work on other blackberry devices, but not my (or another friend's) Bold 9650.

Sep 6, 2015I got a new Galaxy S5 about a year ago and put my old SIM card in it to transfer my contacts. The SIM card was used in a Motorola Atrix HD and a Nokia Lumia 520. I need to update and delete some of the original contacts that I put on the SIM card when I was using the two previous phones. However, my Galaxy S5 simply will not register any of the changes. If I choose to delete one of the contacts, it says "The contact will be deleted" but then nothing happens. If I try to edit one of the contacts, it says "Unable to save contact."
This issue only occurs when attempting to edit contacts that were added to the SIM card on either of the two previous phones. If I try to edit or delete a contact that I added using my Galaxy S5, everything works just fine. It sounds like this is an authentication/security issue of some kind, but how do I get around it?

Feb 8, 2015I had been having some difficulty editing the 'location' on my upcoming events - I'd touch the 'save' button, the app would seem to respond correctly, but the change wouldn't stick. (Other edits, such as time or date, seemed to process properly)
Well, I think I may have found the answer. My calendar app is one I use all through the day, and so it's always on the new Lollipop app/website switcher carousel. Any app on that carousel is fixed in its last state. This must have consequences where are links with other apps - in this case Maps. The existing link stays intact until the app is truly closed.
Editing an event's location is therefore not possible unless Business Calendar is first closed, accomplished by simply removing it from the carousel. Then the event can be successfully updated. (Immediately afterwards, of course, the app is back on that carousel)
This may be a general problem/solution where the app/website switcher is concerned.
