I recently got my BB Curve 9380, ever since I got my BB I have been trying to install Microsoft Lync on my device with no luck at all. I did some searching on Google and ended up at http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/server/exchange/ocs2007.jsp. I did the things as mentioned in above URL but couldn't quite successful yet.
recently installed Lyncwhen it became available as an update on Nokia Suite. We use Lync at the company I work for, and the company allows personal mobile devices to connect to the service. I completed all the fields required to sign-in, but I never got signed-in or connected. The startup screen just tells me for 5-10 minutes that it is initiating a session, and then that it is trying to connect. This is where it gets stuck and idles forever. I tried to connect both while connected to a wifi network and to my provider's 3G network.I asked the support staff at my company and they told me to try again providing the internal and external discovery address url..., but this didn't work either. I was also asked to try connecting to my account from two different Android devices, one with the same service provider I have and the other with a different service provider, and I was able to connect. I also tried to connect using a different phone (also a Nokia N8 running Symbian Belle) and, again, it failed to sign-in/connect. That's where we found out that nobody using a Nokia running on Symbian can connect to the Lync server in our company, while all iPhone and Android users can.
Of course, while trying to connect from my phone, we tried many different variations: entering username and domain in their own fields and only on the username field (domainusername), checking and unchecking the registration option, using the IP address for the server instead of its name, etc., etc. Nothing worked. The support staff also confirmed that the Lync server has all the latest mobility components installed, as specified here: Set up Lync for mobile devices.
Today i conncted my phone to pc and saw the update Microsoft apps 2.0 is available. But when I try to install it , it goes through half (50% exactly) and stays there for a hell lot of time and then gives the error "application installation failed".
I cannot install Microsoft Apps software update to my Nokia 700. I've tried to install it through Nokia Suite and through software update app in the phone without success. Several tries and all I get is "Error in installing try again later." Latest Social update was successful at the same time.
I have the latest version of Lync installed (4.2.6609.0000). When installing the app (I have tried deleting and reinstalling several times) the app does not ask me if I wish to receive push notifications. Therefore I assume this is the reason it does not appear in notification center and therefore unless actually in the app I do not see chats if in screen lock or another app etc. On the previous version of Lync I had the same problem. However, I found that if I loaded Lync, powered off, powered back on again and reloaded Lync I could get it to appear in Notification Center and it worked in the background/screenlock etc. Is there a way to force it into Notification Center so it will work in the background? When deleting I use app center via 3G so do not connect to a PC etc.
I am trying to set up lync 2010 on my new galaxy S6. App settings/options button is not visible. Phone has no hardware settings button (Samsung used long press on recent apps button for something else!). Need these settings to use Lync.
My company just recently singed a contract with AT&T. Nearly all the employees were provided with Blackberry Curve 9360's. We use an Exchange Server (remote desktop)and Microsoft Outlook. Is there a way to sync the Curve 9360 with an Exchange Server (remote desktop) and Microsoft Outlook?
I've just got a blackberry curve 9300 and have an email account on Microsoft Outlook on a PC at home and am trying to get it to sync so that I can check emails while I am away from home - one of my primary reasons for getting a blackberry. It seems as though I need to use an Enterprise Account but I can't seem to get anywhere - every time I try to 'set up' an email address it's asking me for an email address & password which won't work and it's not giving me an option to go for an Enterprise Account.
I have the 5.0.1 desktop manager, and want to sync with my microsoft calendar from a vista pc. I go to synchronize and choose synchronize organizer data. When I get to select device application, I choose calendar but the only choices I have are ASC Importer/Exporter and Yahoo. Why isn't my microsoft calendar available? and how do I get it to be an option?
I have a Blackberry 8520 curve which does the job perfectly apart from one little problem im having. I sync my calender with Outlook few times a week which works fine when I sync one way. Phones > Outlook. unplug, replug, Outlook to Phone. If I try and sync both ways, it just doesnt happen and gives me some error message. I'm using windows 7 and have the latest Desktop Manager software.
I recently upgraded computers and now have Outlook 2010 and Windows 7. Haven't been able to sync Curve to Outlook since. Getting message "Microsoft Outlook Connector Error" as title and then "No Available Message Stores".
I would like to find out how to re-install OS5 (which came with the phone)....OS 6 take sup too much On Board Memory and really slows my phone down......
I installed the new version of bb messenger in my phone 9360 curve. after rebooting bbm icon is dissappeared so i deleted it from options>application management. now when i tried to reinstall it says this is unavailable to this phone and also the same when i tried with browser..
Is there anyway I can install the OS 5.0 software for my BlackBerry 8900. Is it reliable or advisable to install it onto my phone. Is it official from BlackBerry itself and where would I find the download link.I work on a MAC as well so my Desktop Manager is OSX verision.
if there is an option to install applications on external memory card while using blackberry 7.1 (Blackberry Curve 9320) instead of installing them on internal memory which is very insufficient (only 512 mb).
Having just got a Blackberry Curve 8520 today I have spent hours reading and trying to install app world. When i try it on the BB it says The requested item could not be downloaded. When i try from my pc Internet explorer crashes everytime. Have to say this is the worst piece of software I have ever come acroos. Would any one have any idea how to get round this as I have tried the clock thing and still nothing. Looks like I willl be selling this BB pretty soon.
I accidentally deleted my task program on my bb. I'm on an exchange with bad tech support. is there any way to just reinstall the app? i've tried the DM and looked on App world.
Just bought a theme from this store. I can't seem to find a way to install it. My 8320 used to connect to my WIFI, but after the latest software update, they seemed to disable that feature. I tried using BB Desktop Manager, but that looks for .ALI files. Anyone have a proven method? Many of the techniques found on the Internet are not working. Any way to reinstall the old OS that allowed me to connect to my WIFI?
can I install a new OS without my 8330 being activated. I would like to update it and let her play with it to see if she likes it. If she does i will introduce her to the "DARK SIDE" I mean let her use it. Also will Verizon force her to get a data package right away even though I gave her the phone?
