Just bought a theme from this store. I can't seem to find a way to install it. My 8320 used to connect to my WIFI, but after the latest software update, they seemed to disable that feature. I tried using BB Desktop Manager, but that looks for .ALI files. Anyone have a proven method? Many of the techniques found on the Internet are not working. Any way to reinstall the old OS that allowed me to connect to my WIFI?

If she does i will introduce her to the "DARK SIDE" I mean let her use it. Also will Verizon force her to get a data package right away even though I gave her the phone?

Do I need to format the card transfer stuff.I don't want to do I need to format the card in the phone onthe computer and if in the computer "how". I am trying to go to a 1gb to a 4gb... I looked on the forums for awhile and found only the tutorial on inserting the card, I had no trouble with that.

I am using a Verizon BB 8330 (refurbished) with Appalachian Wireless.My data plan does not work with BIS or BES.App. Wire. shoots me the service books, but says that Verizon has some sort of lock in my phone that won't allow my phone to work online. I contacted verizon and they said they do not use locks on phones. I use opera mini 4.2 to access internet.I can not download any apps ota because I always get the message from blackberry that no browser has been configured.I can not download any apps with DM using an ota downloader because I can not find the 'URL to .jad' files. My phone works great almost any where I go, but my opera internet only works in my home area.Are there any tweaks or hacking methods that I can use to get Bis to accept my data plan?Or just to get opera to work in a roaming area?

The contacts were transferred at the store - but after I restored from my DM backup done one week ago - none of my other settings were restored. What did I do wrong or what have I missed? Sprint rep told me the backup restore would get my new 8330 back to being just like the old one - but it's not.I want to get my email settings, apps, ring tones, wallpapers etc, back. I don't want to have to create everything over again when I have a good backup.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a new BB Curve 8520. On my desktop I have Windows 7, with Microsoft Outlook 2007. My e-mail is a Windows Live account through Office Live, which I believe is a web-based e-mail account. This means, in order for me to get e-mail in Outlook, I have to use the Microsoft Outlook Connector. When I go to sync using Desktop Manager, I first try and install intellisync through the Wizard and I get a "successfully installed message, but when I click "OK" the error: "Folder is no longer part of system data source or the folder could not be found" appears and I am never able to sync successfully, either through the USB or wirelessly. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Desktop Manager many times. However, I am receiving the e-mails through to my BB. But if I'm unable to sync Calendar, Tasks, or clear deleted e-mails etc. with my Desktop, the BB is not a lot of help or benefit to me.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just recently updated my iPhone 4s to iOS 5.1 through the notification of the phone. I didn't use the iTune to update the iOS which I was use to. And then the iPhone shutdown and process the update process. I was doing this in my home with a stable Wi-Fi access. But the day after, I was received a notice about huge data usage of 218M. The only thing I can figure out is the iOS update. Is this true? If the phone update will cause such a huge data usage I will never use this this utility as my total data is only 300M per month. It should at least give a warning before launch the process or do this under the wifi environment.

When I attach the USB cable to the BB the system tray does not pop up with a notification that says "found new hardware" like it normally does when you plug a BB in. When the phone boots up it displays error msg " JVM Error 513". I attempted to looking into the device by using "cracmem" and "JL_Cmder" and no data is to be found and thus there is nothing to wipe. I suspect that the device has already been wiped thus the no data. I have pulled the battery from the phone and reinstalled; unplugged the usb cable during the BB boot process and nothing is happening. The DM application loader will not allow me to procede due to computer not recognizing the BB device thus it is not generating the "USB:UNKNOWN".

I installed the BB desktop manager for Mac yesterday, and this morning connected to remove some apps, create some space, and install all the updates. In the process of this it mysteriously just stopped doing anything right after it said "database cannot be backed up" and shut off. Now it's flashing red twice, pausing for about 2 seconds, and repeating the flashing. I pulled the battery and sim even though I was sure that wouldn't do anything, plugged it back into my laptop, plugged it into the wall both with and without the battery, and nothing has changed. The desktop manager doesn't not recognize the device at all.
I'm using a Curve 8330. Is there anything I can do or am I screwed totally? Also, and I know this is a long shot, but what are the odds that I can restore the device and save the data that's on it?
I've had my 8330 Curve with Verizon since November 2008. Very happy with it. I also happen to still be using OS 4.3.0.127 (202), which is what the unit came loaded with. I never bothered upgrading because I would always hear of people having issues or DM only backing up your contacts and not your apps, lower music volume, etc. I don't really need Docs To Go, but HTML e-mail would be nice and the biggest thing is trying to improve these BBM delays I constantly get when trying to send a message. I'm thinking an upgrade to the latest BBM might help change that.
Of course, in order to do that, I need to upgrade to 4.5. So I've decided to do it, but not before I ask for feedback here. I've scanned dozens of other threads here, all with varying opinions. It's been long enough. Is it wise to do this and, if so, what is the latest OS for VZW (is it .138)? What risks am I really running here? Need a reality check on this.
I don't know if this is possible or not so I thought I would ask here, is it possible to alter the way the menu functions in the blackberry curve? in example, what I want to do is like when I send a sms text message and when I hit the trackball and the menu options come up, the send button is highlighted, and what I would like do is modify it so that the check spelling is highlighted first and then send button is right below it, is it possible to do this or is this an internal Blackberry Software modification?

I plugged it in for about an hour but the sign would not disappear so I did a battery pull. Radio turned back on, but now the phone will not charge. The lightning icon still shows up by the battery but it is stuck at 5%. Any suggestions?
