I recently got my BB Curve 9380, ever since I got my BB I have been trying to install Microsoft Lync on my device with no luck at all. I did some searching on Google and ended up at http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/server/exchange/ocs2007.jsp. I did the things as mentioned in above URL but couldn't quite successful yet.

View 2 Replies View Relatedrecently installed Lyncwhen it became available as an update on Nokia Suite. We use Lync at the company I work for, and the company allows personal mobile devices to connect to the service. I completed all the fields required to sign-in, but I never got signed-in or connected. The startup screen just tells me for 5-10 minutes that it is initiating a session, and then that it is trying to connect. This is where it gets stuck and idles forever. I tried to connect both while connected to a wifi network and to my provider's 3G network.I asked the support staff at my company and they told me to try again providing the internal and external discovery address url..., but this didn't work either. I was also asked to try connecting to my account from two different Android devices, one with the same service provider I have and the other with a different service provider, and I was able to connect. I also tried to connect using a different phone (also a Nokia N8 running Symbian Belle) and, again, it failed to sign-in/connect. That's where we found out that nobody using a Nokia running on Symbian can connect to the Lync server in our company, while all iPhone and Android users can.
Of course, while trying to connect from my phone, we tried many different variations: entering username and domain in their own fields and only on the username field (domainusername), checking and unchecking the registration option, using the IP address for the server instead of its name, etc., etc. Nothing worked. The support staff also confirmed that the Lync server has all the latest mobility components installed, as specified here: Set up Lync for mobile devices.
With the update of Microsoft applications email client is not working. Two icons namely..freestyleemail and email widget..have cropped up...and unfortunately none are working as on clicking icons dpn't open or response.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI just set up Exchange 2010 and it runs greats supports SSL for IMAP POP and Activesync. IMAP is great because you have access to all your Inbox folders (with Active Sync / Exchange you can only have 1 such mailbox - blows). I've set up IMAP to my server on Android and BBs for my company clients - works great. I use IMAP at home with Outlook - great! I set up my Nokia Belle C7 and it pulls 20 random old messages off the server. I cannot figure out why it refuses to update the inbox contents.
I set to subscribe to all my other IMAP inbox folders no prob, it sees them. It outright refuses to see anything but the random old messages in my inbox? Whats going on? My phone is C7 Belle updated completely. I set up the account again as a "Hotmail" account and specified the exchange server - works very well and syncs well. Here you don't have access to any Inbox folders. Is this a bug with Nokia IMAP and exchange? I have another IMAP account which does work with Nokia.
Wanna check whether in anyway my BB could direct access mailbox Microsoft Exchange 2010 without BES (private and/or Company).

View 6 Replies View RelatedWe recently did a number of hardware upgrades on our computer and installed Windows 7 and Office 2010 about 3 weeks ago (full versions not upgrades). I have been unable to sync my BB ever since and after reading through the message boards have discovered I am not alone. I downloaded the latest BB update which I understood would make my BB and Office compatible.I don't know if the problems are related to BB and Office not being compatible or if there is another problem with my computer. This is what I have done and am encountering: downloaded BB update version 6.0.0.43; BB would not recognize Outlook when I tried to organize my Contacts and Address Book. I have tried repairing and subsequently uninstalling then reinstalling this update a few times.
- gave up and downloaded CompanionLink; Received error message "Click-to-run Outlook lacks API capability. You must install Outlook on your PC for sync". I sought help from CompanionLink but continue to have no luck. The "Add-Ins" link in my BB Desktop Software was available when I first downloaded CompanionLink but has now disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. I did try repairing the BB update to see if this would resolve it.- in the BB Desktop Software Applications tab, it states BB 5.0.0 System Software version 5.0.0 and Core Application Version 5.0.0. are required but it does not give me the capability to install it. I thought the version 6.0.0.43 update replaced version 5.0.0. I don't know if this is relevant or if it matters.
Today i conncted my phone to pc and saw the update Microsoft apps 2.0 is available. But when I try to install it , it goes through half (50% exactly) and stays there for a hell lot of time and then gives the error "application installation failed".

For the most part the installation went smoothly. Only thing that didn't go through were my BBM contacts. Only one was saved in my contacts.

I am receiving error message 0x80043ade when I try to configure my Tour with the new desktop manager and my Microsoft Office 2010 Outlook. I have Windows 7 OS.
View 15 Replies View RelatedWhen will Blackberry Desktop Manager be able to sync with MS Outlook 2010? I spent £100 on the latter yesterday after discovering that Windows Calendar can not be synchronised with my new Bold 9700: the sync process ends with a Microsoft Outlook Connector Error message: "No available message stores". Burrowing into Blackberry's on-line support, it seems the most likely cause is BDM - 5.0.1 - trying to connect to an unsupported version of Outlook. (Article ID KB15564).
The result is no contacts or diary on my expensive new smartphone, which is disappointing beyond belief, since Outlook 2007 etc. seems no longer available.
I can't get the default email client to behave like a pop3 client. Apart from some small bugs, like if inbox is empty you can't get to your sent folder, I can send and receive emails properly. However, I can't find a normal pop3 setting Leave mail on server. Which means it will download all new messages from the server, and nothing else. Now it more or less behaves like a mapi client and syncs against the server and removes all messages from the inbox that I have deleted from the server. But I want to have the messages on the phone until I delete them.Any email program out there that I can use on the Nokia E7 that can be used as a normal pop3 client? Apart from this email problem I would say that Nokia E7 is the best phone I have had so far. If I only could get the Nokia E7 hardware and use N900 software it would be perfect
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the latest version of Lync installed (4.2.6609.0000). When installing the app (I have tried deleting and reinstalling several times) the app does not ask me if I wish to receive push notifications. Therefore I assume this is the reason it does not appear in notification center and therefore unless actually in the app I do not see chats if in screen lock or another app etc. On the previous version of Lync I had the same problem. However, I found that if I loaded Lync, powered off, powered back on again and reloaded Lync I could get it to appear in Notification Center and it worked in the background/screenlock etc. Is there a way to force it into Notification Center so it will work in the background? When deleting I use app center via 3G so do not connect to a PC etc.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get into this whole twitter thing and wanted to know what the best twitter client is for the iPhone, free or paid. Please, any suggestions would help because I don't want to spend unecessary money in the app store if a free version is that much better than a paid version. However, if a paid version is the best, then I will purchase it that.
You can suggest Apple App Store apps or Cydia apps. I have an iPhone 3G jailbroke with blackrain.
