Nokia Applications :: IMAP Settings With Microsoft Exchange 2010
Jun 23, 2012I just set up Exchange 2010 and it runs greats supports SSL for IMAP POP and Activesync. IMAP is great because you have access to all your Inbox folders (with Active Sync / Exchange you can only have 1 such mailbox - blows). I've set up IMAP to my server on Android and BBs for my company clients - works great. I use IMAP at home with Outlook - great! I set up my Nokia Belle C7 and it pulls 20 random old messages off the server. I cannot figure out why it refuses to update the inbox contents.
I set to subscribe to all my other IMAP inbox folders no prob, it sees them. It outright refuses to see anything but the random old messages in my inbox? Whats going on? My phone is C7 Belle updated completely. I set up the account again as a "Hotmail" account and specified the exchange server - works very well and syncs well. Here you don't have access to any Inbox folders. Is this a bug with Nokia IMAP and exchange? I have another IMAP account which does work with Nokia.

I tried to add the mail in my BB by using the normal way (webmail address + username +password), but not succeeded. As far as I know, our company does not have BES. or maybe this type of mail can not be used with BIS?

Jun 30, 2014I am trying to set up an exchange mailbox on iphone 5 running iOS7. After entering the proper parameters, I receive error "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed."
I know the server parameters are correct because I have entered the exact same parameters for another users mailbox and mail loads perfectly fine on the iPhone. I dont believe the issue lies with the parameters but maybe the individual mailboxes? Are there settings on our exchange server i should be comparing between the mailboxes to determine why one mailbox loads fine while the other does not?
Could it be an issue with iOS 7 ? Is there a guide or something that will show how the users mailbox settings should be set on exchange 2010?
I verified the device shows up when i log into the users OWA account > Mobile Phones, but still unable to load mail. There are no other devices in the mobile phones section so there shouldnt be a limit issue. Â
BB Software :: BIS Validation Exchange 2010
Jan 12, 2012Currently I'm using Exchange 2010 and publish OWA using TMG, I also add a path EWS at the TMG listener. Then I want to add a BIS account, when I create it in the office hours till let say 11:00 PM it keep saying validation error.
But strangely if I validate early morning at 3-5 AM it works. My colleague confirm it too when he tried it, almost all the user having the same experience. I tried with different provider too, same issue.

Feb 15, 2010I have a new E72, and Gmail mailbox. I would like to synchronize this mailbox with Mail For Exchange software, but i don't receive any mails/contacts/calendar. I have perfectly configuring my Gmail Mail For Exchange account:
Login: username@gmail Password : mailbox password
Server: m.google.com
Domain: empty
My data connection are good, other software work's fine (Internet browser, chat, etc), but I don't see any emails or contacts or calender in my different exchange software.

Apr 11, 2012i was able to add exchange without any problem but when i go to the mail it will have error 'cannot get email'. i setup all the activesycn configuration in exchange 2010 and firewall ports. i have no problem connecting from my mac laptop with outlook-mac, it sync fine with calendar/contacts/task.

Aug 10, 2010I've just received my Vivaz Pro and I'm desperately trying to set up a mailbox to sync email from my company's MS Exchange server.
I'm trying Settings->Application->Messaging->SyncEmail but after completing all the steps nothing happens. I've read about RoadSync but I don't have it on my phone (got it from Vodafone Italy), and it doesn't seem fair to have to pay for something I definitely expect a smartphone to be able to do for free. Is there any step-by-step guide on how to set up an "activesync" mailbox on the Vivaz Pro?

Mar 12, 2010I successfully set up the Exchange client on my E72 and can receive and send mail but I cannot find my contacts that are on our server at work via Microsoft Outlook. Phone support at Nokia was not helpful - very frustrating. My personal contacts synch with the E72 fine from my Mac using Apple Address Book and Sync. Am I correct in thinking that I can maintain both my Microsoft Outlook work contacts and Apple Address Book contacts at the same time? I thought the E72 was capable of this.

May 11, 2012Hey, I am having issues connecting my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1) to my Exchange 2010 server. When I create the account in my iPhone it verifys and leads me to believe the account is functional. When i go to send/receive mail, I receive a "Connection to the server failed" error. I have port 443 open on my firewall and can send/receive from OWA.I have rebuilt the account numerous times with both SSL turned on and off (both server and phone side).I have no special policies configured on the server either.

Sep 26, 2011I am using hosted Exchange server 2010 for many years and have around 500 contacts with pictures in my contact book. Once I receive Motorola Photon 4G same as on my prior Epic 4G I sync to exchange account and all my contacts with pictures was there. I do not even yet sync to any other account. I need to reflush my phone, using regular stock software I did stock reset (factory default with erasing data from both storage cards) and once phone back I again link it to my exchange account. It resync all contacts as expected, but this time without any pictures. I did not make any changes on exchange server between 2 sync. I can still see picture on exchange webinterface, ipad and outlook. I repeat delete, reset and resync on my android multiple time, I went to exchange webinterface and delete link to this phone account. No pictures, whatever I do can not get it back, but I know it was working. I installed for fun exchange by touchdown and it sync all ocntacts with pictures, problem I do not like it as it keep contact and calendar in it own database and it not easy to integrate with other apps.

The problem I have is that I can see & call my exchange contacts with no problems, they sync fine from the server, but I can't make any changes to the contacts via the phone's native "contacts" app, the edit symbol is there but when i tap the symbol it takes me to the next sreen (edit screen) and from there the screen is basically useless, all the details are grey and un-editable *screenshot attached* ....

Jul 17, 2010Just getting my wife's iPhone 4 setup and updated to 4.0.1. Her Microsoft Exchange account works correctly on her old 3G (3.1.3) and on her iPad (3.2.1) but gives this error when trying to retrieve mail: "The connection to the server failed" on the iPhone 4. We have re-entered the correct information many times and also tried the account on my iPhone 4 and it gives the exact same error.
Again, the account seems to setup and verify fine under settings > mail > etc.. but once we try to retrieve the mail it fails with the server error.

It works perfect. When i go to do the same settings on my iPhone, for some reason it won't connect. It does ask me for a domain which the imac did not but I leave it blank.
