Galaxy S6 :: How To Sync Microsoft Exchange Calendar
Apr 20, 2015
I just upgraded to a galaxy S6 but can't seem to get my work calendar to sync to S Planner. My work email is syncing fine to the email app but no calendar appointments are syncing apart from my Google account events.
I use my Outlook calendar on Microsoft Exchange for all of my personal and business things. I can add an event in Outlook and it syncs with my iPhone. However, any updates I make to any event never sync. (Example: Any deletions or time changes never show up)
My Galaxy S5 is set up to synchronize with my Microsoft exchange server. Emails synchronize perfectly and calendar events entered on my Microsoft exchange account synchronize with my Galaxy S5. The problem is, calendar events entered on my Galaxy S5 do not synchronize to my Microsoft Exchange calendar.
My S3 had a menu button to the left of the Home key, and one of the choices offered was to sync the calendar. (I have it linked to an Exchange server). In the S6 there is no menu button next to the Home key, and while the calendar has a menu icon, there is no option to sync manually.
The only way to sync is through Options/Accounts/..., i.e. one has to leave the calendar, sync and come back.
What am I missing? How can they just drop this essential option? Even with a sync schedule one often wants to make sure everything is fully up-to-date when using the calendar.
Related question: is the Calendar program from Samsung or is it standard Android? I know Google offers a Calendar app on Play.
Is it possible to get the calendar in my blackberry to talk with the calendar in Microsoft outlook automaticaly with out using the cable to sync the 2 devices on desktop.
If an outside user sends me a calendar invite from their Iphone (my wife), it only adds event to my iphone, won't sync back to my exchange server, and ultimately my PC.
There are two different calendars in my phone, and would make life much easier if all events would sync within one calendar, and ultimately back to my exchange server.
I have the 5.0.1 desktop manager, and want to sync with my microsoft calendar from a vista pc. I go to synchronize and choose synchronize organizer data. When I get to select device application, I choose calendar but the only choices I have are ASC Importer/Exporter and Yahoo. Why isn't my microsoft calendar available? and how do I get it to be an option?
My company just recently singed a contract with AT&T. Nearly all the employees were provided with Blackberry Curve 9360's. We use an Exchange Server (remote desktop)and Microsoft Outlook. Is there a way to sync the Curve 9360 with an Exchange Server (remote desktop) and Microsoft Outlook?
I am using NOKIA E52 and e-mail for exchange on it and Calendar sync don't work fully. As I read other post that others has the same problem. We are using Exchange Server 2010!
Is anyone having problems with the calendar sync and Exchange 2003? Mine syncs mails and contacts fine, but will only sync the calendar back to server and not pull any information from it. Am I missing something somewhere?
Suddenly I can't sync Exchange Calendar (Exchange 2007) with my Atrix 4g (ATT network). I can sync my mail but not the calendar. Can somebody be able to point me to a right direction to resolve this issue. I have tried removing the Exchange from my Phone and also from my Exchange phone linkage. I am able to sync my Calendar with the another e-mail client(Can't remember/find the name of the app, Icon say EMail
I have problems with repeating calendar events.I create event 1.6.2011, repeating every week for one year. I have set in phone to remove calendar events older than 3 week. After 3 week from 1.6.2011 all events from that repeating meeting are deleted from phone, including events which are in future.
I set up the VPN and synch the calendar with our company's Exchange server. I have no information about the Exchange server, and no way to make or suggest any changes to it. In short, the company has blackberries tied to the server, and doesn't want to support employees using iphones to get email and calendar info.
Even so, the sync was working; I checked that it synced in both directions - appointments entered in exchange came to my phone, and appointments entered on my phone got added to the Exchange calendar. I set the calendar to have yellow dots next to the appointments to tell them from my personal appointments. Then today I turned on the VPN, opened the calendar, and all my new appointments I had entered on my phone throughout the day were deleted. Appointments that show up are now marked blue, and all my yellow appointments are gone.
Since I don't use iCloud and hadn't plugged into iTunes, I'm assuming those appointments are irretrieveably lost Did the admin change the Exchange server or did I somehow mess up by assigning a color to the calendar other than the default?
I have an exchange mal account setup on a blackberry cruve running software V6 and the callander is not syncronising across. ive been advised ths should do it automaticly. would there be a setting i need to check or change on the blackberryf ro this to happen?
I have added an Exchange account to the Xoom. Guess that kind of account is based on what is called ActiceSync.
Unfortunalety it does not sync calendar and contacts automatically. It only syncs when I reboot the tablet, or when I turn off and on syncing manually in the settings. My provider uses an Open-Xchange server. My Android mobile phone syncs perferctly well with it.
remember the old days when you could get a dumbphone (non Blackberry, Android, IPhone) and a USB or serial phone data cable and some software that would sync your dumbphones calendar to your Outlook or Exchange calendar application through the cable or bluetooth?Everything now that does that seems to be only smartphones and then you need a data plan and internet access.
I just have a standard USC phone, but I'd like to populate my phone's calendar with Outlook appointments and meetings. It seems the carriers intentionally cripple the phones just enough to make data transfer through the manufacturers USB cable not work with any applications out there.
I could do in 1998 with a candy bar Kyocera phone and the Verizon "Mobile Office Kit" on Windows 98, but can't do now.bitpim does not do this, Datapilot does not show this phone as supported, and the people at US Cellular can't understand why anyone would want to do this without a smartphone.
I have iphone with 5.1 and latest version of itunes and use a gmail account. I was using gmail directly to sync mail and calendar but this didn't (or at least I could find a way to) sync my gmail contacts to my phone contacts so i decided to use Exchange. I deleted my gmail account from my phone and added the Exchange account, following all the instructions on many websites like this one [url]. I selected 'ON' for mail, contacts and calendars. When I refresh contacts and calendar on iphone nothing happens. When I go in mail and refresh that it comes up with 'Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed.'. I deleted the account and reset up in case i messed anything up but it's still not working.
I successfully set up the Exchange client on my E72 and can receive and send mail but I cannot find my contacts that are on our server at work via Microsoft Outlook. Phone support at Nokia was not helpful - very frustrating. My personal contacts synch with the E72 fine from my Mac using Apple Address Book and Sync. Am I correct in thinking that I can maintain both my Microsoft Outlook work contacts and Apple Address Book contacts at the same time? I thought the E72 was capable of this.
I have an Xperia Z5 (E6653) and I have a microsoft office 365 (business version) account that manages all my email, calendar & contacts. I setup the account through the built in "gmail" app because the contacts & calendar would not sync at all through the native mail app.
The problem I have is that I can see & call my exchange contacts with no problems, they sync fine from the server, but I can't make any changes to the contacts via the phone's native "contacts" app, the edit symbol is there but when i tap the symbol it takes me to the next sreen (edit screen) and from there the screen is basically useless, all the details are grey and un-editable *screenshot attached* ....
I am using Microsoft Exchange for the PUSH notification because Gmail Account only fetches data. I want to use PUSH because I want to receive real time email messages. I also want to add my middle name in the outgoing name.
I am unable to get the phone to connect with my works exchange server. We use exchange 2003 and when I enter my information I get an error message stating device not compatable. I downloaded touchdown to try for 30 days but it does not pull in all of my emails.
Short and simple, got the s5 today, I am a current s3 and tab 4 owner. The s5 has 4.4.4 loaded but I can't seem to get the active sync account created. I can add them all day long on the S3 and Tab 4 which both have 4.4.2 on them. I've read that 4.4.4 has some issues?
I just set up Exchange 2010 and it runs greats supports SSL for IMAP POP and Activesync. IMAP is great because you have access to all your Inbox folders (with Active Sync / Exchange you can only have 1 such mailbox - blows). I've set up IMAP to my server on Android and BBs for my company clients - works great. I use IMAP at home with Outlook - great! I set up my Nokia Belle C7 and it pulls 20 random old messages off the server. I cannot figure out why it refuses to update the inbox contents.
I set to subscribe to all my other IMAP inbox folders no prob, it sees them. It outright refuses to see anything but the random old messages in my inbox? Whats going on? My phone is C7 Belle updated completely. I set up the account again as a "Hotmail" account and specified the exchange server - works very well and syncs well. Here you don't have access to any Inbox folders. Is this a bug with Nokia IMAP and exchange? I have another IMAP account which does work with Nokia.
My company is a little behind the times and I do not even know the correct terms to search for an answer to my questions within these forums. We are running Microsoft Exchange 2003 and we just set everyone up with a company domain email address (Exchange address?).I would like to be able to connect a smartphone to the server so I can sync my email, calendar, and contacts.I have a Storm 9530 on Verizon, but other employees have other phones. One uses an iPhone, the other is looking at a Droid. Is there a quick and easy way to access Exchange on our phones? Do we have to have a third party app?My wife, who is in no way tech-savvy, was able to easily sync with her work email, calendar, and contacts on her personal iPhone after a simple walk-through phone call with her IT department (They have since somehow disabled this function for non company issued phones. I think just to **** her off.)I would like to be able to send emails from my phone and have them show up on my server. Syncing the calendar and contacts would be an added bonus. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction? Oh, and by the way, I AM the IT department.
