Motorola Droid Razr :: Multiple ActiveSync Records In Exchange 2010?
Aug 9, 2012
Several Motorola smartphones (mainly Razr's) are creating multiple ActiveSync records in Exchange when users provision a corproate email account on their phone. One record will become blocked or quarantined causing the phone not to receive mail. The user is also emailed a notification which is generating support calls.
i was able to add exchange without any problem but when i go to the mail it will have error 'cannot get email'. i setup all the activesycn configuration in exchange 2010 and firewall ports. i have no problem connecting from my mac laptop with outlook-mac, it sync fine with calendar/contacts/task.
The checkbox for push synching keeps inexplicably getting unchecked on my single Exchange account. Furthermore, it seems like ActiveSync may or may not work regardless of the setting (sometimes it doesn't work when it's on, and sometimes it works when it's off).
This worked forever on my D1 and it's currently working on my Xoom.
I was wondering is it possible to set up multiple ActiveSync accounts to E7 running Nokia Belle?I'd like to use 2 Google Calendars that are on differents accounts.
I set up my corporate Exchange account using the Corporate Sync. It works fine when I am on 4G but when I switch to my Netgear 600 router at home I cannot sync with the Exchange account. Everything else works while on Wifi including my Gmail.
I have had problems with emails in my Microsoft Exchange account not displaying (completely blank body), not showing correct HTML content, and in some cases not showing the sender address. Now I don't know if it is inappropriate to say so on this forum, but I rooted the phone in order to uninstall the Moto email client, and install the stock ICS email client. Once I did that, none of my emails are blank, most HTML content shows correctly, and other quirky issues seem to have improved. But, the stock email client also does not have a search feature (big problem), you cannot swipe in the message list, and it's application icon does not show a badge for the number of unread emails. So it is a bit of a sacrifice to have to revert to the stock client just to be able to read my email. I have also tried TouchDown email and it displays all the Exchange emails fantastically, but it's look and feel is a bit crummy and it costs $20.
My company recently upgraded to Outlook 2010, which apparently automatically saves email address to an address book in Outlook called Suggested Contacts. This group automatically populates with contacts that you communicate or have communicated with, but are not in your contact list. Because the phones are all set up to sync with Exchange, this contact list is automatically synced to the phones by default.
The problem I'm having is, I changed the default so Outlook would no longer automatically populate this and gotten rid of this address book in Outlook, but now I can't get the contacts off the phone. I have tried unchecking the box that says sync contacts, but nothing happens. The contacts remain in the phone. I am posative the contacts are linked to the Exchange account and not to Google or some other account.
I currently have 3 razr maxx's signed up for the FBN. I was wondering if Matt or Mark if that in any way effects a persons chances of being selected. I was wondering if moto would simply see this like a person had 2 replacement devices, or how it works? Of course I have my main device set as my main device.
Exchange Active Sync is not working for me. It will not sync anything. I can not get or send email. This had worked fine for months. Tried rebooting phone and deleting and adding back account. In the settings did the verify account and it says sucessful. Works for email if I use the "Email Accounts" option and not "Corporate Sync" option but I need my contacts and calander also to work.
This bug is tied to the use of the Tasks app when syncing tasks with my Corporate Sync account. On the PC side, our company uses Outlook 2007 SP3, and the Exchange server version is 14.1.355.4001.This phone is on System version: 6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US The bug is that the Snoozing of notifications is not being sync'd between the PC and the Maxx.Steps to reproduce, scenario A (Snooze action performed on PC):
1) Create task with a reminder in the future. Example --> Start: 11/8/2012, Due: 11/8/2012, Reminder: 11/8/2012 11:45AM
2) Await Reminder Notification on both the PC and Maxx (ie, ensuring newly generated task has sync'd out successfully)
3) On the PC, snooze the reminder
4) Wait a while, note Snooze is not sync'd to Maxx regardless of wait duration
Steps to reproduce, scenario B (Snooze action performed on Maxx):
1) Create task with a reminder in the future. Example --> Start: 11/8/2012, Due: 11/8/2012, Reminder: 11/8/2012 12:15PM
2) Await Reminder Notification on both the PC and Maxx (ie, ensuring newly generated task has sync'd out successfully)
3) On the Maxx, snooze the reminder
4) Wait a while, note Snooze is not sync'd to the PC regardless of wait duration The tasks app is a good one, hope to help iron out remaining tidbits to make it even better.
A coworker has a DOD encryption device on his computer. Whenever he sends me any email from his computer, I get the feather with the red exclamation point and the message [Unable to decrypt this message]. If I click on the red exclamation point I get the following:Digital signature informationDigital signature error.RROR: Unable to get certificatedata. My previous Droid 1 would display the messages from my coworkers computer without an error. We use a Microsoft Exchange email server. What do I need to do to be able to view emails from this coworker? He forwarded me the same message from his iPhone 3S and I was able to view it. So it has something to do with the encryption. I saw someone had the same problem on the Droid Razr HD / Droid HD MAXX forum.
I have a Droid razr maxx and an exchange server with it configured on.my phone However now Im having trouble sending any email with my razr maxx on the exchange account if I try and add any sort of attachment to the email it refuses to send just sits in my outbox?
I have searched other forums but have not found a fix. While configuring my Exchange signature block on my Razr it all looks great but the recipient sees phone numbers and address as hyperlinks, instead of just email address as a link. The phone and address links obviously go no where once clicked.
On my Razr M, from time to time the phone will stop getting mail. Push is on. Normally works fine, however in the last few days, I'll notice that there is no mail and the last update was hours ago. If I reboot the phone, it all works again. Three different exchange accounts on the phone and the problem happens will all three accounts at the same time. When this does happen, I still have internet connectivity. Wifi or 4g makes no difference.
my email and calendar are working fine. My contacts, however, are not sync'ing. I've tried unchecking/rechecking the sync contacts option under accounts and get the same results.
We are using exchange online. I do have over 1000 contacts, could the number of contacts I have be the issue?
I am using hosted Exchange server 2010 for many years and have around 500 contacts with pictures in my contact book. Once I receive Motorola Photon 4G same as on my prior Epic 4G I sync to exchange account and all my contacts with pictures was there. I do not even yet sync to any other account. I need to reflush my phone, using regular stock software I did stock reset (factory default with erasing data from both storage cards) and once phone back I again link it to my exchange account. It resync all contacts as expected, but this time without any pictures. I did not make any changes on exchange server between 2 sync. I can still see picture on exchange webinterface, ipad and outlook. I repeat delete, reset and resync on my android multiple time, I went to exchange webinterface and delete link to this phone account. No pictures, whatever I do can not get it back, but I know it was working. I installed for fun exchange by touchdown and it sync all ocntacts with pictures, problem I do not like it as it keep contact and calendar in it own database and it not easy to integrate with other apps.
Cannot setup Exchange 2010 Active Sync account. I keep getting the following error:"You entered an incorrect server address or the server requires a protocol version that Email does not support"'m an Exchange admin & have other devices in the enviroment. My account works on other devices. I've tried other test accounts on the Xoom & cannot get it to sync with Exchange. I've created a new policy as per the instructions found here - https://motorola-global-ortal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/65228/~/motorola-xoom-%E2%80%93-%22this-server-requires-security-features-that-your-android still the problem persist.
I recently received an iPhone 4S from work, love it! My one disappointment, I can't figure out how to set my Outlook "out of office" from my iPhone. My blackberry had a simple option with in my email settings. Is there a comparable option on the iPhone?
I am using two different accounts on my Z2. The first one is my GMail account. Everything's perfect avout this. Second is my Exchange account. Here I figured ut that the Z2 des not sync my contacts. I checked all settings for the account and contacts are marked to be synced, but without success.
I have a Sony Xperia Z3 with Android 4.4.4 experiencing a serious Exchange ActiveSync bug with sporadic notification lag for Automatic (push) setting. I have no energy saving features enabled on my phone.
Since Microsoft Exchange is one of most common mail servers in the world this could be a showstopper for a lot of companies?
This is year 2014 and automatic notification for emails is a must otherwise the phone can't be trusted as a working tool? I don't want to login to my phone everytime I need to check if I have a received a new email.
This is being highlighted at official "Android Open Source Project - Issue Tracker" as well.
Issue 73691: Push notifications significantly delayed on stock email app
I have an Xperia Z2 (D6503), Android - Version 4.4.4, Baseband: 8974-AAAAANPZQ-00027-12, Kernel: 3.4.0-perf-gd4d661a BuildUser@BuildHost #1 Fri Sep 19 18:10:07 2014, Build-Number 23.0.1.A.0.167
It's impossible to connect my smartphone to my work’s exchange mail account. I tried it for several days, but without any success. How to get this mail account to work with the stock apps?!
I have an iPhone4S. The company I work for uses microsoft 365. My contacts are constantly duplicating I can't turn off "contacts" and stop them from continuing to sync becuase it will erase all of my contacts on my phone. Is there a way to back up or export my contacts on my phone, turn off syncing contacts and import? Please help! This is so frustrating.
Has anybody else noticed that the Razr Maxx wont separate the texts into multiple texts if you go over 160? I didnt notice it until I did it the other night, and got a sending error. I could have sworn in the past there was an option for this.
I have added email account on my new Galaxy S5 with Exchange ActiveSync to connect my Exchange 2010 mailbox. It works like a charm, I can get all of my emails, I have selected which subfolders I want to synchronise with push method instead of default manual method.
My problem is that when I recevied a new email which is redirect to a subfolder on my email box, this email is also redirected in this subfolder on my phone. This is not user-friendly at all, because I have to open "View all folders/push '+' button" to see if I have a new email in a subfolder and also to open it.I have looked for a way to see in one place, the Inbox mails and all subfolders that I which to synchronise without success.
Do you know if it's possible to do that on Android ?I can't believe that all Android's people in the world are using my bad method to see emails in subfolders :-).
I see most posts relate to Android, sorry for question on old Omnia II. I just received an Omnia II this week, have worked through most issues. My last issue seems to be a software issue. The Omnia II has a number of widgets installed, one widget is an Exchange/Activesync widget. I get an error everytime I run the widget, it asks me to re-install. I cannot find a web site that will Provide a file to download for the Exchange/Activesync widget. Samsung support will not assist any instructions on reloading/re-installing the cab.
I set up a new Exchange ActiveSync e-mail account on my Desire HD, and although I can send e-mails from this account from the phone, I am not receiving any (but they are arriving in Outlook on my desktop). So far, I have:Deleted the account and re-installedChanged the 'mail size limit' setting to maximumTried receiving e-mails with the 'sync when roaming' ticked, and also not tickedSet 'include file attachment' to alwaysNone of these have made the slightest difference. What bothers me is that I can use my phone to send from this account, which must mean the account information must be correct and working.
I installed a couple of new apps this morning: some microsoft stuff that came up in Nokia Suite and the the new Maps Suite from beta labs. Since then my phone has started asking for the Exchange ActiveSync password every few minutes? I use ActiveSync to sync the phones calendar with my google calendar. I set it up when I got the phone last week and it has worked fine, without asking for the password.
Currently I'm using Exchange 2010 and publish OWA using TMG, I also add a path EWS at the TMG listener. Then I want to add a BIS account, when I create it in the office hours till let say 11:00 PM it keep saying validation error.
But strangely if I validate early morning at 3-5 AM it works. My colleague confirm it too when he tried it, almost all the user having the same experience. I tried with different provider too, same issue.
I've tried to nail down for a long time whether this is possible or not, and I thought I would go to y'all for your feedback. Is it possible to use BIS to synchronize Calendar and Contacts over the air with a Blackberry and Exchange 2010. If so, do you have any reference that might show the proper configuration process.
