We have just started experiencing these issues on some our customers iphones. they click on a message header and get "Message not downloaded from server", this used to happen with just graphic contented or embedded html with graphics, however after IOS upgrade to the latest version, even text E-mail is experincing this.

Hey, I am having issues connecting my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1) to my Exchange 2010 server. When I create the account in my iPhone it verifys and leads me to believe the account is functional. When i go to send/receive mail, I receive a "Connection to the server failed" error. I have port 443 open on my firewall and can send/receive from OWA.I have rebuilt the account numerous times with both SSL turned on and off (both server and phone side).I have no special policies configured on the server either.

I've been connected to my work email account through Microsoft Exchange for the past year with no problems. I was trying to send out an email today, and my iPhone could not connect to the server. I tried to re-connect multiple times, ultimately deleting the email account from my phone and attempting to re-install it. When I put in all the info into their respective fields and hit "next," all I get is a message that says "Exchange account verification failed." When I go through and save it anyway and try and update emails, it says that it cannot connect to the server. My IT dept. says no changes were made, and I've already tried a restore and restored from a backup, as well.I have no contacts, emails, or calendar on my phone!
View 5 Replies View Relatedi was able to add exchange without any problem but when i go to the mail it will have error 'cannot get email'. i setup all the activesycn configuration in exchange 2010 and firewall ports. i have no problem connecting from my mac laptop with outlook-mac, it sync fine with calendar/contacts/task.

I have an iPhone with the latest update 5.1 and I'm configuring the Organization's email on it. The problem I'm facing is that the emails will keep redownloading again and again.
First when I configure the account it works well and downloads all emails, then after some time when I re-open mail application on iPhone, the emails will be downloaded again.

today my company's email provider changed the hostname for the Exchange server, so I'm stuck with my E72 not syncronizing any more, since I can't edit the server name field in the configuration properties.First of all: is this behavior by design? Because in case it is, the "Change" item in the Options menu should really be removed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedCurrently I'm using Exchange 2010 and publish OWA using TMG, I also add a path EWS at the TMG listener. Then I want to add a BIS account, when I create it in the office hours till let say 11:00 PM it keep saying validation error.
But strangely if I validate early morning at 3-5 AM it works. My colleague confirm it too when he tried it, almost all the user having the same experience. I tried with different provider too, same issue.
I've tried to nail down for a long time whether this is possible or not, and I thought I would go to y'all for your feedback. Is it possible to use BIS to synchronize Calendar and Contacts over the air with a Blackberry and Exchange 2010. If so, do you have any reference that might show the proper configuration process.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just set up Exchange 2010 and it runs greats supports SSL for IMAP POP and Activesync. IMAP is great because you have access to all your Inbox folders (with Active Sync / Exchange you can only have 1 such mailbox - blows). I've set up IMAP to my server on Android and BBs for my company clients - works great. I use IMAP at home with Outlook - great! I set up my Nokia Belle C7 and it pulls 20 random old messages off the server. I cannot figure out why it refuses to update the inbox contents.
I set to subscribe to all my other IMAP inbox folders no prob, it sees them. It outright refuses to see anything but the random old messages in my inbox? Whats going on? My phone is C7 Belle updated completely. I set up the account again as a "Hotmail" account and specified the exchange server - works very well and syncs well. Here you don't have access to any Inbox folders. Is this a bug with Nokia IMAP and exchange? I have another IMAP account which does work with Nokia.
Wanna check whether in anyway my BB could direct access mailbox Microsoft Exchange 2010 without BES (private and/or Company).
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using hosted Exchange server 2010 for many years and have around 500 contacts with pictures in my contact book. Once I receive Motorola Photon 4G same as on my prior Epic 4G I sync to exchange account and all my contacts with pictures was there. I do not even yet sync to any other account. I need to reflush my phone, using regular stock software I did stock reset (factory default with erasing data from both storage cards) and once phone back I again link it to my exchange account. It resync all contacts as expected, but this time without any pictures. I did not make any changes on exchange server between 2 sync. I can still see picture on exchange webinterface, ipad and outlook. I repeat delete, reset and resync on my android multiple time, I went to exchange webinterface and delete link to this phone account. No pictures, whatever I do can not get it back, but I know it was working. I installed for fun exchange by touchdown and it sync all ocntacts with pictures, problem I do not like it as it keep contact and calendar in it own database and it not easy to integrate with other apps.

The contacts on my iPhone comes from my Works Exchange server. I leave leaving my work on Friday. Once they disable me on the work exchange server, will I loose my contacts on my iPhone? Is there any way of saving these contacts that are already on the phone?

I'm having an issue with IOS 5.1.1. Since Monday, my iPhone is downloading emails from my Exchange (outlook) account like it always has, the problem is, when I delete an email in Outlook, it's not deleting from my phone. Similarly, reading an email in Outlook doesn't mark it as "read" on my phone. This leaves me at the end of the day with hundreds of unread/extraneous emails on my phone that I have already addressed, filed or deleted in Outlook. How do I correct this?
This is weird because it has worked correctly with everything syncing properly up until this week, and I did not update anything.
I'm using a PC for the Outlook - same PC as always, and no updates unless my company updated something remotely without my knowledge.
I have set up my email account using the "Exchange" option when I added it. Already tried deleting and re-adding the account (twice).
Cannot setup Exchange 2010 Active Sync account. I keep getting the following error:"You entered an incorrect server address or the server requires a protocol version that Email does not support"'m an Exchange admin & have other devices in the enviroment. I currently have Exchange account and I synchronize contacts (and other info) with the server. I want to decouple the Exchange server and my iPhone, (for example, if I delete all the contacts on the Exchnage server I want to keep them on iPhone).
If I go to Settings/Mail/Exchange and I set Contacts to Off, I imediatelly get a warning messate that all my ActiveSync contacts will be removed from my iPhone.

Just getting my wife's iPhone 4 setup and updated to 4.0.1. Her Microsoft Exchange account works correctly on her old 3G (3.1.3) and on her iPad (3.2.1) but gives this error when trying to retrieve mail: "The connection to the server failed" on the iPhone 4. We have re-entered the correct information many times and also tried the account on my iPhone 4 and it gives the exact same error.
Again, the account seems to setup and verify fine under settings > mail > etc.. but once we try to retrieve the mail it fails with the server error.
