Aug 29, 2011Having just got a Blackberry Curve 8520 today I have spent hours reading and trying to install app world. When i try it on the BB it says The requested item could not be downloaded. When i try from my pc Internet explorer crashes everytime. Have to say this is the worst piece of software I have ever come acroos. Would any one have any idea how to get round this as I have tried the clock thing and still nothing. Looks like I willl be selling this BB pretty soon.

Jun 29, 2011I installed my Facebook app found on the application world on the phone last ight. After it successfully installed the phone asked me to reboot. By doing so the phone went of, But does not come on agian. The red light flashes ans flashes and.. Anyway, then it goes on and of and on and of..I only had the phone for a couple of hours, after Vodacom gave me 1 back, because my prevoiuse one kept on taking green photos. Sep 2, 2012My daughter forgot her password (repeatedly) and the handset has now been wiped. It's a Curve 8520 and I've looked on-line for a way to re-install but it's not working. I've downloaded the BB desktop software and the OS but when I plugged the handset in via USB it's not recognised by anything. Is there anyway to do anything to it at home or will I have to 'bite the bullet' and take it somewhere to be repaired? Also if so where would I take it?
