IPhone 4s :: WiFi Not Connecting - Cannot Even Push Button In Settings To Activate
Jun 3, 2014
Can connect to wifi with my i phone 4s (IOS 7.1.1). Cant even push the button for activating the wifi at the settings. is it possible that the new ios 7 does not match to i phone 4s ? what can i do ? (i have already rested my i phone)
I use a BB 8520, and often use BBM or What's App. If the screen goes to sleep, I just hit the spacebar, or any other key and it wakes the phone, but leaves it where it was - ie, BBM chat. If I was using whatsapp on the iphone 4s and the screen went to sleep through lack of use, how would I wake the phone, but leave it in Whatsapp (so I don't have to go to the homescreen again, click what's app, and click the conversation)? I use it A LOT - so if I do have to hit home button, then what's app, then convo..... rather than just one button to wake where it was, that would be very very annoying!
After I installed and used the push mail toggle to turn my push "off", for some reason now I can no longer get push to work again. I have removed the push mail toggle, and I have rebooted. Any idea's what may be going on?
I have just got my iPhone configured to receive emails from the same accounts that I receive emails from on my MacBookPro. When looking at Settings/Mail Accounts on my iPhone there is an option to Fetch New Data and further option to Push On or Push Off? What Push and Fetch are all about.
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), iPad 2, iPhone 4S
I Have been trying to activate imessage with 0 success, I have 2 devices i am using with my apple id , messages are working on the ipad but not on the iphone, have tried all the on the support pages.
I did an upgrade to v5.0.0.680 on my Blackberry 9700 and after that my Standby - Mute button not working also the Email Setup is missing an option to add a personal account it only giving me option to add "Blackberry Enterprise Server."
I recently went back to my old iPhone after much frustration with another smartphone product that I wont mention here. I updated the phone to 5.1.1 as reccomended by iTunes and started setting up mail etc and everything worked as expected. But then I noticed that push was not working whenever I have 2G/3G data enabled. If I have WiFi only enabled, push comes in fast and works great. If I have 2G/3G data only, or 2G/3G data + WiFi, I never receive push notifications, not even if I go into the individual apps first as some people suggest.
It just so happens that I work for a major Canadian Wireless carrier and I have access to some pretty cool tools that enable me to see packet data coming from the device going towards the internet. What I can see here is that the device does NOT initiate any connection to the nn-courier.push.apple.com servers on port 5223, ie. this is some kind of device issue. There isnt even a DNS request or anything to indicate the device is interested in making the connection at all. On my WiFi network, a DNS request and the connection to the push server is made immediately when WiFi comes up.
So all of a sudden I find myself having to push pretty hard to lock the phone. Not sure if It was dropped and something happened but I remember being able to tap the top of the phone with ease, just like the mute button on the right side, now there is a very noticeable difference.Anybody having this issue? I hate to sound like that guy who is super anal about his phone, I swear I'm not that guy, but this is just bothering me.
I need help, my iphone won't activate under any wifi or itunes, I believe I licked the iphone after updating it. I didn't know at the time I couldn't update a unlocked phone
I did an OS update from my computer and when that didn't work pushed a complete wipe and reinstall with JL_Cmder. That sorted out the WSOD issues however the trackpad will now only work as a push button and not to scroll. I sent it off to be looked at by my carrier and they said water damage but I'm 100% certain it's not having looked at the parts myself as well as having been ridiculously careful with it: basically just think they are trying to avoid a replace on warranty!
In Kit Kat, when I looked at a contact, all of the information for that contact was displayed, including multiple phone numbers. With Lollipop, contacts that have multiple phone numbers now only display one phone number and there is a "see all" button that I need to push to see the additional phone numbers. I have tried to find a setting that would make it so all of the information was displayed but can't find one. Other than downloading a new contacts app...
So. My Xperia is on (I can hear the notification ringtone go off whenever my phone gets a text message or a Facebook message) but it won't respond when I push the power button to light/wake up the screen. This started happening at 9PM and it is now 1:30AM. I don't know what to do.
How this is happening and turn it off. But every once in a while when I press the power button to wake up the phone, it will automatically throw me into the camera app. I know Sense has some type of function where if I lock the phone when the camera is active, the power button will automatically activate the camera again. But in my situation, the camera is NOT active at all or has been opened and running in the background. The phone is sleeping. I hit the power button to unlock, and boom I'm in the camera app. I was thinking it might be some accelerometer type action that is initiating it and that might be the case. But if that's the case, then I'd rather disable this function.
