Nov 18, 2011my phone freezes at about 55%-65% of the startup bar, and taking out the battery only repeats the process and freezes at the same point. what do i do?

Nov 18, 2011Is there something wrong with my BB 9700 software? It freezes on the start up bar at about 55% of the bar and when I take the battery out it just does the same thing the next time. What can I do? Is it over for my phone?

Apr 30, 2012after trying to reboot my Blackberry Curve 8520 it gets stuck on about 3/4 of the way though the loading bar. I've tried this at least 10 times and leaving it for up to 3 hours but it still won't turn on. After some internet researched I've tried rebooting it though the blackberry desktop manager, though the app loader. Which will work up to the point where you select applications and they are all grayed out giving no other option but to cancel. I have tried this over 10 times too. I have also tried wiping and restarting though JL_CMder but that won;t work because my phone can't connect to my computer for longer than 3 seconds. Please can someone help me because I've ran out of ideas? The term for this problem around some forums seems to be that the phone in 'Nuked'

Aug 26, 2011I have an XPRT that I obtained from Sprint 30 days ago. Like phone but having issues with screen freezing up when phone turned on. I travel and must turn off phone when getting on plane. Once I get off, I turn on XPRT and it appears to boot up but then freezes or the screen goes blank. I pull the battery, re-insert battery, and power on. Same thing will happen again so I pull battery and go through same cycle. Usually after two cycles, the phone is fine but it can take 4 or more. I took the phone back to the Sprint store where it was purchase and it happened to the tech while he was trouble-shooting this problem. He did not have an answer and he looked at widgets and aps and saw nothing unusual. All apps or widgets are either from Android market or Motorola. Phone has been charged using Motorola supplied charger. Sprint store took back this phone and game me a new one. Seemed to work ok but just go back from trip and same issues. I turned the phone off last evening and turned it on this morning. It would boot up but took 4 cycles to quit either freezing or blank screen. This is getting to be a painful solution. I do have the latest software installed.

Oct 1, 2015Earlier today after I woke up, I was just gonna check something on my phone, when I was met with several errors saying that this and that programmed had stopped working. I chose the option "ok" on all of them because the other option report would not really get me anywhere. The thing was these errors kept coming repeating themselves (same apps getting errors repeatedly).
So after 10 min of just pressing ok on these errors I decided to reboot my phone, but when I came to the startup it stops/freezes on the SONY EXPERIA display. I can't trun it off with the on/off button, so I searched everywhere on the internet about this issue but none of the classic hold volume down + volume up + on/off button to turn it off gets me past the freeze after it goes off.

Apr 30, 2010I bought my gf a BOLD 9700. I live in Singapore and bought an officially unlocked BB. I ust bought the model only, not with a contract from any carrier.My gf uses her simcard but doesnt have a data plan. We dont intend to use the email functions.But we do want to have WIFI on my home network. Been already busy for a few days and have seen several sites and seems that a lot of people have problems with this issue.Inside my router I see there is an IP adress assiged to the blackberry and I see the mac adress of the BB. But the blackberry keeps saying Failed to obtain an IP adress.Other laptops and my IPhone connect instantly to this router.And how to contact the blackberry technical support? Or can I return the phone under warranty?Im not so familiar with blackberry's.I also tried it with my own simcard which does have a data plan with it. But the same problem exists.Already reset the router a thousand times and removed battery from the BB a dozen times..on the BB screen I also see the WiFi is connected to my home network router but the wifi logo doesnt light up.

Jul 15, 2010Randomly, my BB will start sending/recieving data (the rx/tx arrows constantly changing back and forth) and the entire phone will lock up. None of the buttons work, it wont respond to anything for about 2-4 mins. Then everything returns to normal. I notice it most in the facebook app or Viigo, mostly because thats when im scrolling a lot. Occasionally, the last button pressed will register after it wakes up from its coma, ie, if i press the back button when its frozen, and nothing after that, when it wakes up, it will *sometimes* register the button. I never get any messages or anything when its doing this.

Jul 15, 2010So yesterday my phone got cut off (forgot to make a payment. Sue me). I called ATT, made the payment and got the phone up and running. Problem was, my blackberry browser, ubertwitter and Facebook didn't work. But for some reason my opera mini did work. I called ATT and they did whatever it is they do and my phone worked again. This morning my phone froze. It stayed on the main screen and didn't do anything else. I did a battery pull and got the same thing. Now I can't even do a wipe because the phone stops responding when it gets to the main screen and my desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in. Can anyone help? I'm starting to wish I had just bought a damned iPhone.

Jul 1, 2010I did a forum search for my problem, and couldn't find an answer for my specific issue, which is this:My AT&T 9700 worked great until about a month ago, when it started to freeze while I was text messaging. Looking through the forums here, I noticed that it was happening when I had large numbers of saved texts, and I started deleting the threaded messages so that I was never over about 20-25 texts per person. That solved the problem for 2 weeks.Last week, I started deleting all text messages beyond 15 texts, total, and still I have the issue. I just had the phone freeze and refuse to allow me into the threaded portion of the text after just 3 texts (2 from my wife and 1 from me)!Does anyone else have this problem? I have done the following as well, in order:

Factory reset, no additional applications
Upgraded to the latest AT&T approved OS (5.0.0.602?)

Each time, the problem has recurred. I never have less than 105MB of application memory available.
I run my practice via email and text messages when I am (frequently) out of the office, so this is becoming a critical issue for me. Ideas?

Nov 17, 2011I have a Bold 9700 upgraded to OS 6 about 1 year ago, in the last 2 - 3 months my phone seems to freeze constantly and the only way to stop it is to pull the battery. Another issue I'm having is that I get an "application memory low" message about twice to three times a day asking me to delete applications, I am now down to two applications on my phone....a banking app and a music app....and I'm still getting the message.
