BB Bold :: Cannot Add New Contacts - 9700 Freezes Up
Apr 27, 2012Problem adding new contacts? When I go to my contacts book - to "new contact" and click to add -- nothing happens - it's as if I didn't click it - or else it freezes up and I have to do a hard reboot. Same thing if I go to the call log and click to "add to contacts" -- nothing happens. Blackberry Bold 9700.

Nov 9, 2012Can't seem to revert to OS 5 coz my desktop software (fully up to date) can't seem to connect to the device. The USB connection worked perfectly 10 minutes ago before I upgraded to 6. My problem is that I can't use the trackpad to click accept on the licence agreement, the trackpad seems dead itself, can't scroll or anything and the agreement is on the screen all the time..

Jul 15, 2010Randomly, my BB will start sending/recieving data (the rx/tx arrows constantly changing back and forth) and the entire phone will lock up. None of the buttons work, it wont respond to anything for about 2-4 mins. Then everything returns to normal. I notice it most in the facebook app or Viigo, mostly because thats when im scrolling a lot. Occasionally, the last button pressed will register after it wakes up from its coma, ie, if i press the back button when its frozen, and nothing after that, when it wakes up, it will *sometimes* register the button. I never get any messages or anything when its doing this.

Jul 15, 2010So yesterday my phone got cut off (forgot to make a payment. Sue me). I called ATT, made the payment and got the phone up and running. Problem was, my blackberry browser, ubertwitter and Facebook didn't work. But for some reason my opera mini did work. I called ATT and they did whatever it is they do and my phone worked again. This morning my phone froze. It stayed on the main screen and didn't do anything else. I did a battery pull and got the same thing. Now I can't even do a wipe because the phone stops responding when it gets to the main screen and my desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in. Can anyone help? I'm starting to wish I had just bought a damned iPhone.

Jul 1, 2010I did a forum search for my problem, and couldn't find an answer for my specific issue, which is this:My AT&T 9700 worked great until about a month ago, when it started to freeze while I was text messaging. Looking through the forums here, I noticed that it was happening when I had large numbers of saved texts, and I started deleting the threaded messages so that I was never over about 20-25 texts per person. That solved the problem for 2 weeks.Last week, I started deleting all text messages beyond 15 texts, total, and still I have the issue. I just had the phone freeze and refuse to allow me into the threaded portion of the text after just 3 texts (2 from my wife and 1 from me)!Does anyone else have this problem? I have done the following as well, in order:
Battery pull
Factory reset, no additional applications
Upgraded to the latest AT&T approved OS (5.0.0.602?)

Each time, the problem has recurred. I never have less than 105MB of application memory available.
I run my practice via email and text messages when I am (frequently) out of the office, so this is becoming a critical issue for me. Ideas?

Nov 17, 2011I have a Bold 9700 upgraded to OS 6 about 1 year ago, in the last 2 - 3 months my phone seems to freeze constantly and the only way to stop it is to pull the battery. Another issue I'm having is that I get an "application memory low" message about twice to three times a day asking me to delete applications, I am now down to two applications on my phone....a banking app and a music app....and I'm still getting the message.

Aug 11, 2010I have Nokia E72 and i have a lot problems with it. Phone just freezes on random time, when i unlock keyboard, sent sms or end a call. Sometimes it freezes during a call. Screen slowly shutdown and then it just turns on again. Automatically turns off when i hit it at something. I don't know what's wrong, it was on service, but they didn't fix a problem. Phone is very slow when i have saved messages. (i got them like 300) but when i delete them it's fast again. Anybody got the same problem?

Aug 22, 2010I recently jailbroke my phone and I wasn't very satisfied with the result so i set about restoring my iphone through the settings > General > reset method. My iphone then proceeded to restart it self and reboot at which time it froze and became completely lifeless so i did a quick reboot (holding the home and lock button for several seconds hoping it might fix it and it didnt) and now hasnt started for 2 day.
Can someone please shed some advice on how i can fix this problem as the phone will load up as far as the apple symbol and then completely freezes before going to the login screen so i am unable to use my iphone full stop.

Jul 22, 2012my blackberry device was working fine until an app world updates appeared after that by one night it just got frozen so i restarted it and the bar was complete up to three quarters of it and just got frozen i left it for a while cause it sometime takes time but that was usless i tried even removing the battery for about a minute then put it back again but that didnt work andi dont know what todo now.

May 17, 2011I've had my BB Tour 9630 for about one month. It was working fine until this morning I saw the camera app open and a pic was taken without me even touching my phone! After that, I tried scrolling around and found that the first screen is ok, I can scroll all ways and click on items but once I click on them and another screen comes up, I can't open anything. Same thing happens when I click on "menu" it opens but I can't even scroll to other icons, nevermind click on anything. It basically stays on whatever screen was currently being shown with the navigation bar active (the back button, windows key etc), but none of the buttons work. The power button and volume buttons also have zero effect. This happens with both Windows Hello enabled and disabled (I sort of thought it was windows Hello related, but it doesn't appear to be).

Mar 16, 2012My iPhone freezes when I try to delete an app. When I hold donw the app to delete it and press the 'x', the phone freezes for 5 seconds and then the dialog box pops up to confirm the deletion. After this initial freeze, I can delete any other apps for roughly 30 minutes until the phone freezes again. I've restarted it and reset the home screen layout. I believe this happened close to or after a panic that caused my phone to restart.
