Feb 10, 2011need some help with my Curve 8520. It was knocked off the sofa and a white screen appeared which won't go. Doesn't matter if I take battery out, as soon as put it back in the screen re-appears. Power switch won't work. Red light which ususally indicates message/email is flashing but I can't get into the phone to see what it is.

Nov 28, 2012My battery died on Saturday and I didn't have a charger with me. So, I switched off my phone so just to cool it off. When I got home I put it on charger. And it showed it was charging. But when it rebooted it didn't completely switched on. I took off my battery for about 30minutes and rebooted again, but still it would not switch on. And it still does that today. My phone is ten months old.

Mar 10, 2011I am trying to swotch from my old BB 7290 to a new Curve 8520 using Desktop Manager v. 6 but it always comes up the error "A fatal error occurred while updating the device software. Please try again". My old and new devices are connected with an Enterprise Server (the company server syncronizes the office mails with Microsoft outlook). what I would need to do to pass all my mails stored in my old 7290 to my new 8520? These mails are not present in the Microsoft Outlook of my PC as I stored them in the BB 7290 only.

Apr 30, 2010I bought my gf a BOLD 9700. I live in Singapore and bought an officially unlocked BB. I ust bought the model only, not with a contract from any carrier.My gf uses her simcard but doesnt have a data plan. We dont intend to use the email functions.But we do want to have WIFI on my home network. Been already busy for a few days and have seen several sites and seems that a lot of people have problems with this issue.Inside my router I see there is an IP adress assiged to the blackberry and I see the mac adress of the BB. But the blackberry keeps saying Failed to obtain an IP adress.Other laptops and my IPhone connect instantly to this router.And how to contact the blackberry technical support? Or can I return the phone under warranty?Im not so familiar with blackberry's.I also tried it with my own simcard which does have a data plan with it. But the same problem exists.Already reset the router a thousand times and removed battery from the BB a dozen times..on the BB screen I also see the WiFi is connected to my home network router but the wifi logo doesnt light up.

I tried taking out the battery it didn't work I bought a new battery that was fully charged and still nothing happened not even the red light. I have put on charge for a about 1 hour or more some times for the past 4 days and still there isn't any responds. Then I connected the 9700 as it asked me to, and that was at least an hour and 15 minutes ago. It says "Task in progress", and on the progress bar it has not moved a millimeter. Like, nothing. I have maybe 30-40 contacts and no extra software, and 3 messenger contacts.

Nov 3, 2011Recently the data on my 9700 will not switch from WiFi to cellular. If it's attached to a WiFi network, everything works fine. However when I leave that network and the BB needs to use EDGE/3G it does nothing. It will not even attempt to transmit or receive unless I do a battery pull. If I leave WiFi off, everything works fine. It is now running OS v6.0.0.668 by AT&T. I just updated to this OS in hopes that it would fix the issue, but no luck.
