I'm new to the BB world and have just setup my Torch to receive my work emails. Trouble is I only want this to happen when I'm away from the office.Is there a way to activate the receiving of emails when needed preferably by a couple of buttons and then to deactivate it when I'm at my work computer
View 4 RepliesI recently got the 9360 and I synced my old 9300 to it so all contacts, emails, texts, etc., went across. Since I've starttd using my new phone no emails have come through and every time I went on email setup it keeps saying 'the email application is temporarily unavailable try again later'. So in the end I did a security wipe but did a back up before. After the security wipe I went to email setup and again it read the same unavailable message, I then went to back up my phone and I cant even do that now!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had the option to switch my phone to silent for a period of time of my choice. After that the phone would switch back to normal. The benefit of this was that I could never forget to switch back to normal. For example at the beginning of a meeting with an estimated duration of 2 hours, I would program the phone to a 2 hours silent period and after that it would switch back to normal. This was so handy. Is that possible at my BlackBerry 9000?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy company has a Blackberry "Style Flip" 9670 for our sales-people traveling in Northern Canada in the Yukon area. This phone goes with whoever is going on that particular trip, however it has 5 different email accounts associated with it for the 3 users that share it.
I don't know if this is possible with a Blackberry or not, but we would love if there was an easy way to temporarily disable the email accounts that do not belong to the person carrying the phone at that point in time.
The way it is now, we have User A (2 email accounts), User B (2 email accounts), and User C (1 email account) sharing this phone. If 'User C' is presently up north and has the phone and sends an email to 'User A' and 'User B', the email is still received on the shared BB for both 'User A' & 'User B' and wastes a lot of precious bandwidth. The main dilema is the two users with multiple accounts on that phone receive a ton of emails daily. This means 'User C' may have 1 crucial email waiting to be received, but has to wait for all of 'User A' & 'User B's' emails to be received before getting the important email.
Is there a way without deleting the accounts each time to turn certain email accounts on and off?
I have had my blackberry for about 3 m months now and for some reason a couple of months ago gps went off my phone and now I cannot switch it back on? When I click on the drop down box in the advanced options it gives me no option to turn it back on and I can't see why? I wanted it on so I can locate it if stolen and to add my locations on facebook etc

Doesn't matter if I take battery out, as soon as put it back in the screen re-appears. Power switch won't work. I setup the email app instead of the gmail app. Now all the emails are going only to the phone, so unless the laptop is left on all the time (we use google apps sync to outlook), it never gets any emails.
How do I get these emails back to gmail? Can I mass forward these emails back out somehow? I can forward one at a time, and I can save to the sd messaging folder one at a time.
I've got two accounts set up on the stock email app. But the only way I can switch from one to the other is to go into settings and which ever one I set as default is the only one I see.When I hit menu there is no option for 'accounts' and if I hit the account name at the top it drops down and shows me the folders for that account.One is a gmail account one is an imap account.

I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

So of course there's switch mode from work and "play". I have this issue where when I switch from one the theme changes and if I switch back the theme doesn't change. I thought this would be fix, but I guess I was the only one with this issue. Just updated to .54. I'm of course not going to do anything about it I'll just work with it. I changed the sim on my phone and ever since I have the blackberry protect highlighted on my phone.It says I need to log back in in order for my phone to be protected however every time I attempt to log in the message "The Blackberry ID service is temporarily unavailable".This has been going on for weeks now and my phone is not protected! Is there any reason it says unavailable?
