Mar 7, 2011I got a BlackBerry Curve 8520 at work and for some reason my BIS is not working, it says not connected and I cannot manage to fix it. The below is what I did so far.
1. Verified with my carrier (MTEL.BG) that I have all necessary data serivices enabled.
2. Restarted the handheld a couple of times (battery pull and waited 30 secs).
3. Resed to factory settings.
Tried to register my device using Host Routing Tables (the table is empty) but nothinh happen.
Called Tech support and they attempted to register my devide without success. They said that probably my handheld have a defect and to replace it.

Jan 14, 2011I have an 8520 and I just came home from the hospital. I have upgraded to the 5.0.0.822 op sys the phone battery died before I was able to get home. When I go to plug it in after getting home it will not charge or even lite up when plugged in. I have tried plugging it into the wall and the computer but I get the same reaction from both and that is nothing. I have tried to pull the battery and it is still the same.

Jul 9, 2011I'm not new to my Blackberry, this is my third device, never had a problem so far but this 8520 is not ringing at all. If i connect the headphones it only rings when the music player is on. If i stop the player is not ringing again, only vibrates. I know the menu very well and is all set to the right parameters. I've bought a new housing complete and i'm waiting to have it delivered next week because 99% i think is the speaker.

Apr 27, 2011I cannot send when I reply to a message from my blackberry. There is no send option. Just save draft or full menu which does not have send function either. Need a fix ASAP.
Also, another wierd thing is I set up my profile so that I can have an alert when email messages come in and it does not work. All the other notifications work fine with that profile and the try me works fine but does not work when email messages come in.

Jun 16, 2010I just had my phone for over a month and I am having problems sending email. I have contacted sprint via telephone, but they have only caused additional aggravation. Someone from sprint performed a hard reset and could not tell me how to restore my contacts. My fiancé helped me restored my contacts. I can get email, select reply but there is no send option available to send email. It worked a few days ago, but it is not working now. I can send email from my contacts, but not reply to an email I already received. Even when I try to download a document it says, “More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found”. I even tried the service book option I learned on crackberry along with turning it off and on, removing the battery, and deleting my email accounts and adding them again.

Nov 18, 2012My carrier O2 Irl..Model BB Curve 8520, Smartphone (Edge Wi-Fi) V5.0.0.681 (Platform 5.2.0.67)My BB is just over 1 year old and was working perfectly. Suddenly a week ago my email and messenger stopped working. I am connected to my home wifi and use O2 data plan otherwise.I did a battery pull to no effect.I rang the O2 helplne twice and they talked me through various operations but couldnt solve the problem. Eventually they said that as it was purchased in London (it was a gift but I have the receipt), I needed to return it to the shop as it was a BB problem. Not so easy as I live in the west of Ireland.If I go to Email settings it says "Your device had a problem connecting to the server".In Service Status - it says BB Internet Service Connection: Not connected BB Enterprise Server Connection: Not connected.Text messaging works fine. Browser works fine too and obviously I can access my email from here but that is major hassle.
