Internet service just went caput all of a sudden, tried battery pull multiple time, connection profile won't update, had them resend svc books and no luck. any ideas?

so I just recently update from 4.7 to 5.0.0.732. I can't get the darn thing to provision to save its life. I don't have BIS/BES since it's on Boost but the data did work before, at one point at least As of right now I can make/answer calls, send/receive SMS. No MMS and no Web, GPS, etc. My status says 1xev and I need it to say 1XEV. Whenever I try to Register Now (Host Routing Table) it never provisions, whenever I attempt to Update Profile, or Update Preferred List it says that it can't complete request. Any options I need to change or steps to take different? BTW Data did work on 4.7 and 5.0.0.6## and people have reported that it does work on .732
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy tour was running low on battery last night, so I plugged it in, fell asleep, and had a nap. When I woke up, it was completely dead!No usb cord I have works to charge it, there is no red led lit up when I insert the battery. just nothing. It doesn't connect to the computer, jl_cmder wont connect, and app load wont connect using the trick if jl_cmder doesn't work.I got it first when it came out, or just a few days after, and it was fine. One night I dropped it and some water got in and set off the water sticker inside, but like I said it worked fine nothing happened to it. On the battery, the white sticker with the red line is completely faded to almost just a white sticker?? Is this sticker a heat sensitive one?
View 10 Replies View Relatedi just noticed that my phone isn't ringing anymore. only vibrating. after checking it i realized that all of my sounds have stopped working including ringer,alerts,notifications,speakerphone, video sounds, etc.i'm using a 9630 tour running v.5.0.0.591 on vzw. i've searched the forums but haven't had any luck finding the issue unless it is a 5.0 os issue. i updated to 5.0 when vzw pushed it a few weeks ago and the sounds were still working afterward. the last time i can remember hearing sounds was on sunday when i was watching a Internet vid.

I'm on a amtrak and won't be home until at least 10 am and it will be too late. My bbm works, my internet works even text but this damn email is acting up.If anyone knows how to fix this pls share the word, I'm in a jam.I have a sprint tour btw, I just spent 2 hrs typing this doc and can't even email it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedBlackberry Tour keeps giving me error that password for my email is wrong I'm having the problem now with my hotmail email on my BB since yesterday. I've tried to remove my battery, I've entered it like 30 +times, I even deleted the email from my phone. Now I can't add it back, it keeps saying that it's an invalid password and it can't validate, and to contact hotmail.com. I even changed my password on hotmail.com, I just logged into my hotmail on the actual computer with the correct same password, the same one that my BB won't take. When I put in my password on the email setup page it says, "Processing, please wait..." Then I get this error, "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persist, contact hotmail.com. " I have other email accounts on my phone that are working just fine.

I always get the "HTTP Error 400: Bad Request" dialog. And under the details "Connection refused". Not sure what to try other than several battery pulls, etc. Again, never had any issues until a few days ago havent loaded any new apps, etc.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI used the Toysoft app Location Profiler on my Curve to automatically switch profiles when I arrived at work and then again when I left. It doesn't appear as if the program is compatible with the Tour. Are there any programs that do anything similar? I have found a few options for changing by time but I'd prefer if it was specific to when I am coming into my office.

It appears that for each notification (e.g. each email address, the phone ringer, the calendar alarm, SMS text notification, etc.) you choose 1 setting that carries through to all the different "profiles" (e.g. loud, normal, vibrate), and that when you set it on the different profiles, it merely changes the volume of the ringer and whether or not it vibrates?
On my Curve 8330, I had to set each ringer in EACH profile, so if I wanted I could have BBPro1 as the phone ringer for "Loud," and BBPro2 as the phone ringer for "Normal," and BBPro3 as the phone ringer for "Medium," etc.... The Tour does not have this, does it?
So, I've had my Tour for around 8 to 9 months now. its worked pretty well overall. I put it in a Seidio innocase right when I got it and got the matching dock so I can charge it in the case.About 2 weeks ago, it just wouldn't charge on the dock anymore. I can plug it in, and it charges fine.Noone else I know has a Tour so I can't see if theirs will charge on my dock. I can only say that the dock hasn't left my end table in months, hasn't been dropped, and likely isn't the issue.Has anyone else had this happen on the Tour?I'm less than 1 yr with the Tour, but I've NEVER bought the insurance through Verizon. Do, I have ANY recourse here?I believe the last time I investigated the coverage, I understood that there was nearly no reason to have insurance becasue the phone has a year warranty from the manuf, but I must go through Verizon to do anything.I wanna have my ducks in a row before going forward.I also bought the phone on my Amex bluecash which extends my warranties up to an additional year, so if I can find documentation that the phone has a year warranty with RIM, then in another couple months I can make a claim on my AMEX, of course they would only cover what I paid for it which I believe was 100, or maybe 150 as far my card charges show.Not sure which way to go with this.If there is something I can take apart and fix inside, I'm not against attempting that but I dunno what it could be.

My problem is all of my contacts somehow have a custom (or personalized) ringer. When I edit my contact details and go into Custom Ring Tones/Alerts,they ALL have Ringer_ClassicPhone as the personalized ringer...
Is there any way to re-set all my "personalized" ringers for my contacts or somehow make them default to my profile's set ringer?Also, I recently installed BerryBuzz and I believe this started happening (or at least I noticed it) afterwards...
My tour was only 5 months old and trackball stopped today. Verizon gave me refurbished phone. Made in Canada instead of mexico.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy Tour is 3 months old. Suddenly calls are dropping in the house and the battery charger is taking 10 hours to charge the spare OEM battery. Running the 5.0.419 and it's been fine. Verizon came out with theirs and it's so bad I went back to 419. Now I have an email from RIM saying new software for the phone is available but it doesn't say what version it is so I'm afraid to load it. Any one else have same issue? Phone was fine after going to the first 5.0 for 2 months but now after having changed from Verizon's 5.0. (been a month or so) the issues started about a week ago.

The camera application will work, it will autofocus, and when I take the picture it shows up perfect on the screen but the after 2 seconds the picture will completely distort and just be a screen with a bunch of colors going across. Cannot even see the picture. Looks almost like a TV that has no reception. I tried sending the pic and it is still just the static looking screen. I have changed the settings for the picture quality and didnt change anything. I pulled the battery and did a hard restart and no change. Any ideas? I would take it in to Verizon but I bought it 3rd party and it has no warranty.

I can get my Plantronics 520 headset to pair Fine with the Blackberry but when I try to make a call or get any sound to or from the headset it doesn't work. I've tried the headset on other phones and it works fine. I tried repairing, Pulling the battery, removing all the other profiles and then repairing the device. I've even tried upgrading the OS to .484 from .419 and nothing seems to work. I know the bluetooth has worked in the past just not sure how long it's been since it has stopped working.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI just recently updated my BB Tour to 5.0.After doing the install i plugged in my BB to my USB.BBSAK recognizes it and so does DM But when i click on Start and My Computer the BB isn't recognized in the J drive (Running Windows XP)I installed my mp3 to make sure that the USB port was good.The PC recognized my mp3 Player (so no issues there)I then moved the BB to another USB and i'm still getting the same results Also before i did the update my PC was recognizing My BB in the J Drive.It's only after the update to 5.0 am i having these problems .I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

I'm really unhappy with how the SMS messages are set up. I don't want to see all my messages to one person grouped together. It's fine for BBM, but I really dislike it for my SMS.
The day before yesterday, while making an update of my Tour 9630 OS, suddenly, in the half of updating process, occurred an electrical shut down in my house, and my pc turned "off" without , leaving my BB device totally nuked.Now my 9630 is ded, after put the battery on, just blinks the red LED (on right top of phone) twice, and after 2 seconds repeats the blinking. It continues on that way cyclically. Whe trying to use the loader.exe, my PC does not recognize it. I tried in another PC, laptop, and nothing. The operating system I use is Windows 7.I could not even try to make wipe with JL_cmder, because the problem is that my BB device cannot be recognized by any PC or laptop.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAudio jack on my Tour. I have used the headphones that come with the device, a generic set of ear buds and a car adapter. Never had any problem with any of them until this morning. Plugged in the BB headset while at the gym and they never engaged. Music was playing over internal speaker but could not get it to come through headphones.I switched to the generic set but same thing happened. On the way home, same thing happened with the car adapter. I have tried wiggling the jacks when putting them in, battery pull and making sure everything except defaults are closed with no luck.

I have Keyboard Locker installed and set to lock after 30 secs.. I waited over a minute and it didnt lock. the screen black but it's not locked.
Keyboard locker is a huge app for me to prevent pocket dialing since I dont use a holster and keep it in my pocket.
I just installed the Skype App on my VZW Blackberry Tour 9630. When I try to run it I get: Error Starting Skype_mobile: Module 'Skype_mobile-10' has verification errors.I have rebooted the device and tried reinstalling the app.

Later in The day yesterday The keys and trackball click stopped working, Just weird. The trackball will move The cursor on The screen but Nothing will click or select.I've tried everything from taking out The battery, The SIM card, The SD card, drying it. Nothing seems to work, I even deleted all data on The phone with desktop manager and it still doesn't work.
