BB Torch :: Screen Unable To Off While Charging?

I am a blackberry torch user. I just purchased the phone few days ago and I have an issue regarding the screen backlight. My blackberry torch screen backlight will always stay on while charging even when i have exit the bedside mode. I also have to tell all of you that i have set the screen backlight time to 30 secs. I dont know what have caused this issue to happen. it didnt used to be like this. I am able to replicate this issue. i find out that to make the screen backlight work normally again i have to unplug the charger and replug it back to my bb and the screen can off after i have exit the bedside mode. in conclusion, i have to unplug and replug the charger to my bb in order to have my screen backlight to turn off after i have exit the bedside. Does anybody ever come across this issue before? I am not sure what version of os that i am running right now but i can assure that i am on the latest os since i just updated the day i bought it from my computer.I also have to tell you that there is no exchange policy in the place i bought my bb.

I usually charge my phone overnight because the battery goes almost dead by the end of the day. I had connected my phone to the charger and tried to use the touch screen, it didnt work to my surprise. I tried to use the hardware buttons, they seemed to be working but all that in vain because when i tried to switch off the phone, i couldn't...!! Because the final screen to confirm the switch off of the phone is a touch command. This is not expected to happen on a device that i paid so much for...
I think there is some problem with the gravity sensor when connecting to the charger, i have seen this only when i connect my phone for charging and when the phone is in a position where the screen is facing the floor tilted towards the right. I have seen this problem 3 times, and would not like to see it happen again.

So I have been charging my device every night I go to bed and while it is plugged in sometimes the battery meter doesn't display that lighting bolt to show that it is charging.

I was having an issue with the screen not working at all last week. I went to get that fixed (they replaced a flex cable?) Anyway, it seemed fine after that except that I have noticed that the screen wont work when the phone is closed. It will not diplay who is calling or who a text is from until I open it. I can see the blackberry uploaing when I reset the phone for a few seconds, and then it goes black and I cant do anything until sliding the phone open.My first thought is that there is something wrong with the way the cable was put in. It works better than ever when it is open, but not when it is closed.

I am unable to type anything on the touch screen keyboard. The keyboard pops up when required but unable to type anything.I even tried removing the battery with the power still on and inserting it back but this did not help.

For some reason my Torch will unlock by itself when placed in my case. The case was for a 9700 Bold and I tried at the ATT store with a pouch 'designed' for the Torch with the same results. The lock/unlock key is so sensitive that even in my pants pocket it will unlock.All of my old BB's would not unlock until I hit the 2 combo keys which was fine. At least the bold would stay locked in the pouch which was fine.

I seem to be unable to access the Help Function from the home screen without having to complete a hard reset each time. The device is new and I suspect that I have a setting incorrectly placed but I have checked the obvious ones and am stuck.

I recently updated my Torch 9800 to 6.0 etc. However, now I when I try to place a call by touching on a recent call on the screen, nothing happens. I have already done a soft reset, a hard reset, a factory reset, reinstalled, worked with AT&T, and have not been able to get this function back.

I've been having an issue since I did the 0S6 upgrade to my torch 9800 where when I click on the screen display it doesn't completely open it just flashes quickly and then closes, it was doing it with home screen display and now it seems to have switched but now I can't change themes. Anyone else know of this issue or a solution

I purchased Xperia Neo V a few days back and today I connected the phone to the PC through USB and it started charging. Surprisingly I was not able to operate the phone while it was charging (screen was not responding to the tap or touch). This is really annoying, cos I purchased the set only a few days back.

I ordered two of them, one the micro usb port inside the pod was a little more loose than the other. The more loose one was easier to get into place and take out than the other one. I also noticed that the micro usb port on both pods were kinda tilted the opposite directions, very strange.
I love the old pods that have the charging contacts because it save your usb port, but now that this one has to use the usb port I am not too sure. Though now you can sync to your computer if connected that way.I will begin using the pod at work this week, hopefully I like it.

A few days ago the battery completely discharged and the phone switched off so i recharged it but initially i couldn't turn it on, it kept vibrating but the screen remained black. After several attempts (startup screen appearing but shutting off) i got it to turn on but the touch screen wasn't responding, i couldn't unlock the keypad. I was beginning to think my phone was bricked but taking the battery out and reinserting it seems to have sorted things out. Now i'm reluctant to let the battery fully discharge in case it happens again and i can't recover the phone!
Is this a bug caused by the update? I've read of others having similar issues. Yesterday for a few hours i couldn't dl apps from the store which is why i ask as similarly others have had this issue since updating. My X10 came with the update but was fine up until then.

I upgraded to OS 7.1 last night, and since then my phone will not charge when plugged into the charger that came with the device. The charger from my wife's 9810 or the charger for either of our Playbooks. When plugged in the screen displays "The charging source connected to your BlackBerry device cannot charge your battery" I have completed a battery pull and wait 30 seconds, did not fix anything.

I let my month-old Torch power down completely for the first time. I plugged it in to recharge, and nothing is happening. I went through all the troubleshooting advice on the BB website, and nothing worked. I even tried 2 different chargers. Normally when charging, the device is slightly warm.

I have a Torch 9850 that has been shutting down repeatedly. It seems to crash and I have to do a battery pull for it to restart and when it does, it shuts back off again! The phone stays on and works fine while the charger is plugged in but as soon as the charger is removed, it shuts off again.

I misplaced my phone and the battery drained down to zero and shut itself off. I plugged it into charge about an hour ago (into a wall, not a computer). A red light came on for about thirty seconds and then shut off. The battery charging icon that is supposed to appear hasn't. I unplugged it and tried again a minute ago, and its the same thing. It doesn't turn on or show any sign of being responsive exept for that thirty seconds of solid red light.

I've noticed that my battery drains easily. I bought my torch less than a week. I did a lot of stuffs just to save the power of my battery but it seems useless. The Lightningbolt was lost while im charging. I tried ti charge it while its of but again, it was useless

I've had this storm for a while now, since like Jan of last year. Its given me my headaches, and little things with using too much memory with their apps...sucks lol.
But the latest issue is with charging. I noticed sometimes the bolt comes up saying that its getting power, and sometimes it will just staylike that, but will loose power, or if i wiggle it the right way it will stay charging.
If not then sometimes it wont get a charge even though its plugged in! Is it the charger, or the phone port? Becuase I am charging it through my computer, although super slow, it doesnt have the same issues as my wall charger by my bed!

I can't believe that RIM designed such a stupid charging pod for the Torch! I had the pod for my 9700 and that was slick with those little metal contacts on the bottom. Very easy to just drop phone into pod. But with the new Torch, the pod is a physical connection into the micro USB port on the side of the phone!! What were they thinking??!! Isn't the idea of a pod supposed to be for the ultimate in charging ease and to prevent unnecessary wear on the USB connection?

My blackberry 9800 suddenly just didn't switch on, it does not have any red lights when I charge it. I tried to reset it in app loader and it still did not recognize it. But when I plug it into by charger it makes a high pitched beep noise.
