I let my month-old Torch power down completely for the first time. I plugged it in to recharge, and nothing is happening. I went through all the troubleshooting advice on the BB website, and nothing worked. I even tried 2 different chargers. Normally when charging, the device is slightly warm.
View 3 RepliesI don't know what happened to my phone, it was working fine last night. I went to bed with it fully charged and not plugged in but still on, woke up this morning and plugged it in and got nothing. It won't charge. It was at about 50% battery and when I plugged in the USB cord nothing happens, tried plugging it into the computer still nothing. I've tried using multiple cables, using the stock one which it charged on last night and forever next to my couch fine.
After some troubleshooting I noticed that when I plug it in with it turned off, it does charge. This sucks though, I can't keep my phone off while it charges. Also tried plugging it into the computer while it's turned off and it says USB device not recognized. I plug my phone into my computer all the time so I know it's not a question of the drivers not being installed.
I have a new problem with my Iphone 4 since last 3-4 days. It will only charge when switched off. Also, when connected to the PC, it says "Device not recognized"....

Last Friday evening, my phone was at 100% charge. I powered off, turned it back on Saturday night, and it was down to 4%. How would that happen if it was turned off?? Also, I noticed that the browser goes back to the last page I was on. When I used to power off my other smartphones, the browser would start up on the home page. Does this mean it's not really shutting down?

When I got off the flight, my phone wouldn't power up, so I found an outlet and found that I had no power. I know I powered it off, and so why would it be out of juice when it had battery left when I powered down?

the battery charging status led becomes green when the battery has been charged to only 90%. isn't it supposed to go green at 100%?

After about 2 hours when I went to check the phone it had on the display the charging display but it was locked and would not disappear at all. I had to take out the battery for a minute and put it back in. Then when you place it back on charge it continues where it left off at. Is this a problem with this phone? The battery seems to be seated fully, contacts look good, cover is tight. I read "The battery is not charging" section of the User Guide and I still don't know what the problem is. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have realized multiple times now that my battery actually goes up couple percentages without charging or plugging the phone into anything. It happens mostly when the phone is in battery saving mode, but I'm pretty sure I saw it happen without it as well.
I was able to see the slight increase in the battery app as well, which at least assured me that I'm not going crazy. Is this something normal either for this phone or any phone for that matter?
While plugged in it will show that it's 100% but as soon as it's unplugged, it drops to 99%. Should I take it back to apple?
