View 1 RepliesMy job requires me to take some shifts with a standby period from 4-7 AM in case an emergency happens, so I have to leave the phone on beside my bed, and it has to be audible.I plug it in so if I have to respond, I will do so with a full battery. Then inevitably after I have fallen asleep, two beeps wake me up to tell me the battery is charged. I ticked the box in settings 'no notification ringtone', but it did not seem to shut this off. can't imagine what idiot designer at Samsung thought that this would be a very important feature that we all must have, but it is driving me nuts.

My iphone 4s battery was dead, so I replaced a battery bought over internet. Now when I charge the phone ( using usb cable plugged to the power outlet on the wall) on right top corner it displays "battery is charged" (battery icon with a plug) but % of charge remains at 5%.

I have already read enough of this great forum post, I hope in the future to helpbeginners like me, one day we had to IOS (formerly had a Galaxy S2) and now we are more than comfortable with my 4s!I have the cell phone constantly charging, either in the Dock, when I go to bed, Through The cable in my university (when I'm in class or on the computer in the Library), this because the phone if consuming battery (I have the iOS 5.0.1) and hate running out of battery (no phone) when I'm away from home.Then the doubt (I've already searched in many forums) is whether this is detrimental tothe battery of the phone, or simply when the iPhone detects that is loaded, just stops receiving load and nothing happens:

I upgraded to Lollipop 5.1.1 recently using Sony updates. However I am having a strange problem now. The phone shuts down when pulled out of a power source though battery status is above 80%. If I plug back the phone into a power supply and restart, I am able to use the phone without any problem. Is my battery dead? It has been about 1.5 years now with this phone. Tried restarting in safe mode as well but the phone still shut down when pulled out of power supply.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a new XPeria Z2 smartphone, which I'm really excited about. As the battery went down to 5%, I set the phone on my magnetic charger, which came in the package of the Z2. In the morning, (after 6 hours), the battery was at 66% only, and didn't charge any further.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I press the on button, I can feel the vibration but after that nothing happens. I have finally updated the software after 50 plus attempts. The phone is recognsied by SE Companion but when I click on either of the 2 icons for support and media, nothing is installed and a message of "try again" pops up. The battery charging icon does not appear when I try to recharge but the vibration when the on button is pressed appears to suggest that battery has at least some charge

View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought a Z5C for my wife, but I am withholding it fo test purposes because I own a Z3c... As per title, if I use it while charging the battery's charge drops or, at best, doesn't improve.
I had already:
-Tried more usb cables, including those one which came along our phones.
-Tried more chargers: my usual z3c charger, my MacBook Pro, my iPad's charger, a no-name wall charger rated for 1Ampere;
-Repaired with bridge for Mac;
-Restored to factory defaults, effect of which turned out to be more or less like "Repair" procedure;
I don't' have strange applications running, I don't play games, mail synchronization is manual. It's like my phones are on perpetual holidays.
More over: I used it just to surf the web and take a dozen of shot with the camera set at 8MP, so nothing really challenging. The phones back heats but not really that much.
I tried observing my phone during charge... It takes about 1hour and 15-30Min depending on the percentage left between 0-15%... But what I notice when It reaches 100% before I unplug, I dial *#*#4636#*#* and check the battery information and it says 4172mV. When I unplug it, it shows 4140-4152 mV sometimes, My sister has Cherry mobile orbit with almost same battery capacity and can reach 4300mV at plug and unplug with 4200mV and takes about 2hours.... Is that normal for X8/W8? and is the battery charging time normal?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone's battery overheats more often each day and because of that, when I plug the charger, it keeps discharging, at this point I have to turn off the device, take out the battery, wait for it to cool down and then re assemble it and plug the charger again.Did my battery reach its limit?. What can cause this effect?. Does overcharge cause this kind of malfunctions?. Do I have to buy a new battery or a new phone?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy HTC One is only about 8 months old and just recently the battery needs to be charged multiple times per day. I set it so the % shows and if seems to be losing about 1% every minute or few minutes while in use. I close all apps when I'm finished, and I'm usually only messaging. My battery usage information shows some apps using about 1% of the battery while the android system itself is using 93% of the battery. I have enabled power saver and also turned off everything except mobile data. I also applied some tips I read about to preserve battery life. Nothing seems to work. Is this a common issue with the 4.3 update or should I be taking my phone in to my provider and asking them to fix it (since it is still under warranty)....
View 24 Replies View RelatedI have experienced an unusual problem on my HTC One. My device does not get charged at all on switched on condition even if I change cables or any other charging adaptors. It does not show anything even if I connect to the computer via USB cable. But when I switch off the device and plug into the ac power, first it shows bright red led indicator and sign of the battery for 9-10 seconds, then the brightness of led indicator decreases and at the same time it shows battery charging with battery percentage for 6-7 seconds then led indicator and sign of battery goes off completely.
Again after 4 seconds same process happens. It took about 8 hours to charge the battery from 20%-100% on Switched off condition. I did factory reset, battery calibration (I connected charger for 10-15 mins in switched off condition, then I pressed and hold power button, volume up and volume down button for 2-3 mins which repeatedly restarted the handset) as well but the problem is same.
My husband's 4s will not power up at all. Battery has charge. Tried to connect to iTunes but it could not "find" the phone. On vacation and nearest apple store is over an hour away.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOver the last 24 hours i've notice my Xperia Z2's battery is draining very quickly, even when asleep. Even when it is plugged in charging, i keep getting messages saying the phone is unable to charge as it is using too much power. And previously i could charge the phone overnight fully, now it doesn't get close to 40%
In addition to this I've noticed it is kicking out a lot of heat at the top of the phone, and also i can no longer connect to the internet via wifi.
Everything else seems ok, and i have managed to back up my data to an sd card. I haven't added any new apps recently.
I've had the phone for less than a year and as far as i know it hasn't had any heavy drops or anything.
I am using Xperia Neo for more than a year. The battery was fine, it usually lasted for 1.5 days with my usual use. Suddenly since 2-3 days, I notified that my battery was going down way faster than before and the phone temperature was much warmer.Battery hardly lasted for a day and it was going down even when in sleep.Last night I gave a full charge, disconnected it from the charger and went to bed. I also installed a 'Auto task killing app' to check whether it improves the battery life. In the morning I found that there was no charge in the phone. I tried to charge it, but its not charging, the red light is not coming up. Its not even detected or charged when I connect it to my laptop.The main changes that happened within last 2-3 days- 1) I updated Facebook app2) I installed a battery saver app, but uninstalled it3) Last night I installed a auto ask killer

My phone is still in warranty but in the official site it is registered as "missing warranty".
I have just purchased my new Nokia N97 Mini phone within two months. Unfortunately, I had three times for not start-up failure of my phone. After I charged up the battery of my phone fully, my phone was suddenly shut it down. Afterward, I could not start up the phone with 'Nokia' word white screen only.
I went to Nokia Care Centre for repairing three times, but they could not find the root cause. Even they changed with the motherboard of my phone.
