Xperia X8 :: Battery Overheating Causing No Charging
Jun 21, 2012
My phone's battery overheats more often each day and because of that, when I plug the charger, it keeps discharging, at this point I have to turn off the device, take out the battery, wait for it to cool down and then re assemble it and plug the charger again.Did my battery reach its limit?. What can cause this effect?. Does overcharge cause this kind of malfunctions?. Do I have to buy a new battery or a new phone?
I'm not 100% sure if this is the solution to all Xperia Minis but after ICS4.0 upgrade of my mini the back button problem occuring due to overheating of phone (usually after 15-20mins usage of any app/music/photo viewing/browsing etc) has gone, After continuous usage of 15-20mins or immediately after charging phone I used to face this problem and could not do anything because as soon as I entered some menu the back button threw me out almost immediately.. but with ICS4.0 upgrade (done approx. 2.5weeks before) the problem has vanished totally. No matter what I do with the phone the back button doesn't throw me out of current menu automatically.
After I updated my phone to new version of android(5.1.1 build 546) my phone charge slowly and it's overheating. It's Temperature increase to 67 Centigrade. So I did software repair with pcc and after phone started I did factory reset.but again it's overheating. Phone is new and it doesn't have hardware issue. Furthermore, it charges slowly.only 10% every hour.  Look at the Temperature: Ambient temperature : 25-30 centigrade Temperature after stop charging.
I have purchased xperia z2 last october in India. The phone was all fine until last few weeks. From past two weeks the phone heats up for no reason. Even using whatsapp for half an hour is heating the phone to such an extent that i cant touch it. I cant use the phone for anything now. Keeping it on for more than 20 mins is heating the phone without doing anything. Is this any problem from the recent app updates? Or is somthing wrong with my phone? And maximum battery drain is always from screen.
I've had my One for about 4-6 months now. Just recently on my last few charges my phone would become really hot and GSam would say the battery was at around 130F with no increase in charge...I'm using the stock wall charger socket with an HTC mytouch cable (because it's longer than the stock cable).
all of a sudden an overheating icon displayed on my Samsung. closed apps etc. still displaying. Turned phone off and back on but still same message. I had to charge my phone and when on or off it wouldn't charge due to overheating. My battery drained and again tried to charge with no luck, but this time instead of the normal charge battery display it showed a red exclamation mark in the middle with a red light at the top of the phone. I have tried everything: Power and volume down button, reboot, factory reset and still same message when charging.
My iPhone 4 has cracked 3 different backs from overheating while charging. What else can I do? I'm not due for an upgrade and at this point not sure if I want another iPhone.
I have done the reset and the restore to factory settings and manually reinstalled my apps. The battery continues to drain. It will not last a day without recharging. Usage shows Safari is taking up the most of the battery usage. Safari is not open, yet it takes up most of the battery. This is both before and after the restore to factory settings. I did not restore from back up in case the back up was corrupted.
FYI- I have an iPod Touch which is doing the same thing. I took it to the Genius Bar and it was replaced due to a firmware issue. The replacement is now demonstrating the same issues. Restoring to factory settings and manually reinstalling all of the apps worked for a while, but it has now reverted to the same behavior. It had none of these problems prior to the update to iOS 8.
If a Particular App or a widget is draining the Battery which I dont know as yet as in who is the culprit, how can I identify which App is causing the problem. Is it Pure Guess Work?
So i been googling for a while to figure out what is causing the red line thorugh the battery icon on my 8320. So far i tired: Brand New Battery Cleaning Contacts Dropping it as suggested in the other thread. Tried a hard reset. Anymore suggestions?
Battery is draining while charging, I did restarted the phone and it works the phone is charging, then after the first charged it came back again draining while charging?
I've just bought a new XPeria Z2 smartphone, which I'm really excited about. As the battery went down to 5%, I set the phone on my magnetic charger, which came in the package of the Z2. In the morning, (after 6 hours), the battery was at 66% only, and didn't charge any further.
When I press the on button, I can feel the vibration but after that nothing happens. I have finally updated the software after 50 plus attempts. The phone is recognsied by SE Companion but when I click on either of the 2 icons for support and media, nothing is installed and a message of "try again" pops up. The battery charging icon does not appear when I try to recharge but the vibration when the on button is pressed appears to suggest that battery has at least some charge
pls tell me what is the excat charging time for Xperia X8 Phone Battery? Is there any way to identify that the battery is fully charged? When I charge my battery It shows 99% for a long time.but in the begining of charging it shows a quick progress. Will it harmful for the battery if, its get overcharged?
On Friday, Feb 24 I started having a problem with the battery dying after 4 to 5 hours. If I caught it as the phone was about to die I stuck it on the charger but noticed that it was taking longer than normal to charge as well. I checked what was eating up my battery and it said the process that was using the most juice was called "evbridge". I thought it was possibly an app that I had downloaded so I reset the phone to stock. No dice. (Note: My phone is not rooted.) I looked online and noticed that others that were having this problem owned a Lapdock. I have a Lapdock and use it frequently. I tried ending the "Webtop Connector" service to no avail. The only was I can get normal battery life is by restarting my phone.
I wasn't having any problems for the last couple months that I've been using my Lapdock. I did, however, receive an OTA update shortly before I started having this problem. I have also noticed that my phone gets oddly warm when the evbridge process is running. Roasts the leg pretty good.
i got a new bold 9790 and its only a day old i charged the phone all night but after an hour it died and the phone is also overheating what should i do?
My phone, on a weekly basis, gets very hot and runs out of battery. even if I charge it for 10 hours and unplug it at say midnight, but 4am I am being awoken with the phone beeping as it is about to cut out.
It's been 3-4 months that I have brought iPhone5S. I am also facing overheating and bettery dranage issue with my iPhone5S. It's getting damm hot and restart it self. once my phone shutdown in this scenario, it never started till all of my bettery is not drained. After that I need to charge the bettery again and my phone is started. I have faced this issue twicely in last week.Â
If I am tying to start my iPhone during this situation then some weared screen shown on the iPhone. Sometime it shows apple logo with half yellow and white screen while sometimes it shows startup screen and then never started. My iPhone continuously being hotter untill my whole bettery is not discharged.Â
I bought a Z5C for my wife, but I am withholding it fo test purposes because I own a Z3c... As per title, if I use it while charging the battery's charge drops or, at best, doesn't improve.
I had already:
-Tried more usb cables, including those one which came along our phones. -Tried more chargers: my usual z3c charger, my MacBook Pro, my iPad's charger, a no-name wall charger rated for 1Ampere; -Repaired with bridge for Mac; -Restored to factory defaults, effect of which turned out to be more or less like "Repair" procedure;Â
I don't' have strange applications running, I don't play games, mail synchronization is manual. It's like my phones are on perpetual holidays. Â More over: I used it just to surf the web and take a dozen of shot with the camera set at 8MP, so nothing really challenging. The phones back heats but not really that much.
I tried observing my phone during charge... It takes about 1hour and 15-30Min depending on the percentage left between 0-15%... But what I notice when It reaches 100% before I unplug, I dial *#*#4636#*#* and check the battery information and it says 4172mV. When I unplug it, it shows 4140-4152 mV sometimes, My sister has Cherry mobile orbit with almost same battery capacity and can reach 4300mV at plug and unplug with 4200mV and takes about 2hours.... Is that normal for X8/W8? and is the battery charging time normal?
Below is a screen shot from my Maxx. I don't know if the screen consumption is ordinary, but I am surprised that the screen alone is causing substantially more than half of the battery drain. I have the brightness set on auto, and I turn the screen off every time after I finish using the phone. Is this consumption normal?
My phone has started to freeze, when I pull the menu bar down, when I am in apps, just any time. when it freezes, the buttons do not work. The battery dies within an hour of being off the charger. I do not know what to do, or why it has started to do this.
Info: iPhone 4s (8GB), iOS 7.1.2, new phone bought in june
I've seen that this seems to be a problem I was wondering if there is a cure for it yet as I do need to get more than 2 hours out my battery. Come on blackberry get your act together. I'm considering going to another phone maker.
