I recently updating my Galaxy S5 to Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and since then have being having problems with the phone overheating and draining the battery. I fully charged the battery and within 2 1/2 hours the phone went from 100% battery life to 8% without me using it. The phone itself also became very hot to touch, both front and back.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to ask if the overheating of the battery whenever in Data Plan usage is a normal thing for BlackBerry 9220. I've purchased this a month or 2.

My battery keeps on overheating last night it got to 50'c and my phone keeps on running very slow how can i fix this issue
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy battrery has been running low quickly . For instance, I charged it yesterday and when it was done charging I made a phone call. I was on the phone for about 11/2 minutes. After I got off I looked at my battery and it was down 1/2 a brick. I've tried removing the battery for awhile, but it doesn't seem to help. I talk on it a lot through the day so I can understand it needing charged at night, but 1 minute off the charger and it's already losing power? I don't use the internet that much, but I do play games. The phone is about a month old. Any advice?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've seen that this seems to be a problem I was wondering if there is a cure for it yet as I do need to get more than 2 hours out my battery. Come on blackberry get your act together. I'm considering going to another phone maker.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy battery is draining in 8 hours where it used to last longer. I've replaced it twice and I have reason to believe it is the device itself. I have shud down most of the unnessesary functions (ie Wifi, Bluetooth, etc) but the battery still only lasts about 8 hours when doing nothing. What can i do?
View 8 Replies View Relatedhave a curve 3g leass than 6months old however the battery is just draining way too quickly since last 10-15days.
Also the OS hangs from time to time. The phone is revived only i remove the battery and out it back afterwhich battery shows as red, External Apps installed : Whatsapp, Quickpull and foursquare
Recently i have noticed my blackberry battery draining quickly (from fully charged) and only lasting roughly 5/6 hours, not even lasting a full day. The battery has only just started draining this quickly as since i got it (november 2011) as it was a replacement it would last roughly 1 and a half days without charging. I mainly use my phone for bbm, calling, texting and internet. And i close down any active applications that doesnt need to be open.
Few days ago i bought a new battery but its still no change
Had my Curve for a couple of years now. In just the last couple of weeks, it's starting to drain a battery in 4 hours or so with moderate use. And it's the same whether I'm using the old or one of my new batteries, so it's obviously not the battery itself. Even if I don't use it, it'll go to red in 6-8 hours, where it used to hold a charge for a couple of days, even with heavy use. I've checked the terminals and they're clean.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince last 2 days my curve battery is draining within 3-5 hrs of charging. I ran AVG anit virus on the device through a PC and found a Torjan which was later removed. However, still battery is draing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo...life up to now has been great with my 9300 but all of a sudden it is sucking battery power really fast. Can't keep a charge even 24 hours with very little phone use. Have experienced the same issue with three different batteries including a brand new one.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry 9300 3G curve with OS 6. Since past two days my battery is draining off very fast. I have changed the battery but the problem still exists. Even if i switch off the phone and switch it on again the battery is discharged.
I have only basic blackberry apps + facebook + whats app + google maps only. Rest i have uninstalled.
My curve 8520 is 30 months old. My battery is suddenly draining very quickly, an hour or so. Was fine yesterday. I have tried three other batteries, previously fine, and the same thing happens.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe blackberry curve 9300 with OS 6 is what I am using. But of late, the battery gets drained suddenly without any reason and phone becomes very hot. I don't run any other application such as FACEBOOK, TWITTER etc., except RIM services for emails.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BlackBerry 8520 . A few days ago the battery held almost 2 days . everything was ok. now, I don't use my phone for 5 or 6 hours and my battery is dead.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe send receive arrows are continuously flickering and the battery drain is horrendous, Have rebooted, deleted all emails and texts doesn't make any difference.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOk seriously... this is BS [exscuse my language] but this is my second Blackberry Curve 8900 and second battery and I've only had blackberry for 11 months. The first 8900 the battery started draining rapidly after 4-5 months and kept deleting everything on my microSD card. I had it replaced... now this second 8900 is doing the same thing. I've had the second 8900 for 4 months. I charged it all night, took it off the charger at 7am; by the time i was out of class it was red and going dead at 10am!
I do not have wifi on, no bluetooth... and also, it pings [like I've gotten a new text or email], the LED light will flash red but there won't be a message or missed call!
Anyone have this issue too? I am having it replace for the second time, this will be my 3rd blackberry 8900. If I have issues and problems again, I will have to say goodbye to blackberry. Even though I love everything about BB, the style, the keypad and so forth, I need something that won't die on me after 4-5 months!
I'm hoping someone can help me with something. I'm having an issue with constant data transfer and I wanna know what it is. I know the upload and download arrows flash every once in a while when changing areas around town but I have a lot of up and down data transfer and its draining my battery. I deleted all my apps and I am using just a plain precision zen theme and wiped my phone and started fresh but its still happening. It seems to stop a little when I turn of WiFi and GPS and it completely stops when I turn off all radio services. If I do this my battery will last all day but if I turn everything back on my battery will be dead in about 3 hours.
I'm running 5.0.0.592 on my T-MO 8900 .Is there a way to tell what's sending info so much? Is there an app out there that can tell me what's sending?
If anyone out there could lend me a helping hand with this. Well, im not a very heavy BB user but ive never had my batt go dead on me but it happened! i totally couldnt turn my phone on until i put in my charger. Then it happens randomly whereby my phone will heat up and the battery drops 5% every 10mins or so! until it shuts off!! It happened once right after i fully charged my phone and it shut off within the next hour.Anyone knows whats happening?? i suspected whether it was any of my installed apps that are draining my batt, so i shut off everything! i mean no msn no foursquare no twitter only emails are on but yet it still happens!!Help please? i hope its just the batt thats screwed not my phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy phone's battery overheats more often each day and because of that, when I plug the charger, it keeps discharging, at this point I have to turn off the device, take out the battery, wait for it to cool down and then re assemble it and plug the charger again.Did my battery reach its limit?. What can cause this effect?. Does overcharge cause this kind of malfunctions?. Do I have to buy a new battery or a new phone?
