I have a blackberry 9300 3G curve with OS 6. Since past two days my battery is draining off very fast. I have changed the battery but the problem still exists. Even if i switch off the phone and switch it on again the battery is discharged.
I have only basic blackberry apps + facebook + whats app + google maps only. Rest i have uninstalled.
Since my S5 was upgraded to Android 5.0.2, my battery still appears to be using power. Sometimes as much as 40% is used when it is switched off.

I was on the phone for about 11/2 minutes. After I got off I looked at my battery and it was down 1/2 a brick. I've tried removing the battery for awhile, but it doesn't seem to help. I talk on it a lot through the day so I can understand it needing charged at night, but 1 minute off the charger and it's already losing power? I don't use the internet that much, but I do play games. The phone is about a month old. Any advice?

I have removed two new apps that I thought might be the problem (Add Contact and Data monitor app), but it has not really made any difference. I have since followed the advice on this Forum to dim the screen and reduce the timeout.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery night before I go to sleep I turn off my Blackberry curve and then turn it back on in the morning. However, just lately when I go to turn it back on it won't switch on, even though the battery was fully charged when I turned it off, leave it overnight and it won't turn back on. It has happened for a week now. If I turn it off at any other time and turn it back on it is fine, just overnight I have the problem. The only way I can turn it back on is by plugging it in. Is there anything that I can do? Do I need a new battery?

One of the suggested fixes was to not restore a backup when setting up the phone and instead to have a clean start. So out of interest, who restored a backup when setting up there Lumia 950 and did you suffer a battery drain problem? The problem is that the battery has the same behavior, you can't go 10 hours without having to recharge the phone and this is without heavy usage: pretty much just messaging, calls and email. I see that the porcess that is consuming the battery is the gpsd service but I have the gps disable.

I know it has a quad HD screen but my battery drains WHEN THE SCREEN IS OFF. My provider (T-Mobile) says one reason could be that I used all my data (T-Mobile just slows down your speeds). This can also mean it's constantly searching for a better signal. Sometimes I don't get reception indoors but usually my reception is good.
Now, I would understand if my battery was dropping IF I had the screen on, but it's not. It's dropping a percent every 2-3 minutes.
My data plan reloads in two days so I can see if it gets better but if not, I will be switching to an iPhone.
I am a new Blackberry user. I have only had my Tour for about a month. The Tour has been amazing and ran really well up till about 2 days ago. At that time it started to take at least 30 seconds to acknowledge I did anything. I would move the scroll ball and it would take 30 seconds to move. I would click on my text icon and it would take a minute to load my texts i would click on a new text and it would take 30 seconds to load it. I had to pull my battery out and put it back (6 - 8 min restart of the phone..) at minimum of 5 times throughout the day for it to even run.That is when I started noticing that it was also draining my battery like no other. I fully charged my batter yesterday afternoon/evening and unplugged it, when to bed (didn't use it except for maybe 10 outgoing and incoming texts) slept from 12am to 630am and my phone is DEAD! I didn't have ANY apps running, the phone was just on and not in use - whatsoever.
Does anyone know why or know what to do? We all know how "helpful" tech support can be, so I'm trying to avoid calling them by coming here.
I am sure there are a lot of posts about this, but my question may be a little harder to find. I had issues with my phone and called warrenty so they sent me another one, I feel like the battery is draining a lot faster in this new phone, but its the same battery? Does that make sense? I didnt think it did...any suggestions

Also my phone can barely last more than an hour if I use it to download and view my PDF files from my inbox using 3G and a quarter of my battery is drained just from listening to it for an hour.

It has been draining away quite quickly for some time now and I don't know why. I have researched online and I know about 'thirsty' apps but the only ones I have installed are the only ones I have ever used and I never had an issue with battery drain before. Phine is approx 5 months old bought brand new.
Today, for example, I unplugged it from its charge about 5 minutes before I left home, never used it in that 5 minutes and when I looked at it, the battery was on 97%.
My battery is draining in 8 hours where it used to last longer. I've replaced it twice and I have reason to believe it is the device itself. I have shud down most of the unnessesary functions (ie Wifi, Bluetooth, etc) but the battery still only lasts about 8 hours when doing nothing. What can i do?

Recently i have noticed my blackberry battery draining quickly (from fully charged) and only lasting roughly 5/6 hours,not even lasting a full day. The battery has only just started draining this quickly as since i got it (november 2011) as it was a replacement it would last roughly 1 and a half days without charging. I mainly use my phone for bbm,calling,texting and internet. And i close down any active applications that doesnt need to be open.

I get the little please wait clock continuously. Today fully charged the battery. Total usage on the phone has been 28 minutes and its been on standby for 7hours..The battery is down to 30%.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am new, both to android and my S6 Edge. It is on 5.0.2, rooted, and do not tell me to RESET TO FACTORY. I can't really do it because I don't want to, there is a lot of great apps and the internet in my country is very bad.
Idk if it is due to the root itself. The closest I got was "cocktailbar service", and my S6 Flip cover (they don't have Edge cover so I improvised).
I check every night for wifi, location services and running activities. However, no matter what I do, I fail. It won't go to sleep. When I wake up, it is really warm and it is at 50-60%. I think it is something you guys call wakelock. This is really frustrating; one reason why I like Apple and their iOS.
I tried various methods. I have some screenshots you can take a look at. You see that it won't go to sleep, not for a second and the CPU is really hot.
I upgraded to a 64gb SD card, roughly two weeks ago, and I had several problems trying to transfer all of my music and pictures and whatnot over to it from my 32gb SD card...ended up losing a lot of them because of having to re-format the card (I have a memory card recovery program on my computer already, so losing things is not a concern at this point) .
HOWEVER, my phone fully recognized the 64gb card immediately, once I properly formatted it and whatnot, but only for like a day, then I started getting error notifications that the card was not properly inserted, or the phone was not reading it, etc...the card has been inserted into my phone for about 10 days at this point... a friend of mine also has the same phone as I do (s5) and it reads just fine, as does her card in my phone, so clearly it doesn't seem to be an issue with the card itself, or the card reader slot..since other cards are registering..?
Then there's also the issue of my battery randomly draining unusually fast the last few days...and this has only been happening over the last three days...I did go to Sprint two days ago and they "primed the battery" but it did not work at all (battery life went down from 87% to completely dead in less than 5 hours last evening)...
