My 9300 seems to drain the battery very quickly. i've tried several different batteries and it does to same to all.I re-installed OS V6 and still nothing. I get the little please wait clock continuously. Today fully charged the battery. Total usage on the phone has been 28 minutes and its been on standby for 7hours..The battery is down to 30%.
The blackberry curve 9300 with OS 6 is what I am using. But of late, the battery gets drained suddenly without any reason and phone becomes very hot. I don't run any other application such as FACEBOOK, TWITTER etc., except RIM services for emails.
My battrery has been running low quickly . For instance, I charged it yesterday and when it was done charging I made a phone call. I was on the phone for about 11/2 minutes. After I got off I looked at my battery and it was down 1/2 a brick. I've tried removing the battery for awhile, but it doesn't seem to help. I talk on it a lot through the day so I can understand it needing charged at night, but 1 minute off the charger and it's already losing power? I don't use the internet that much, but I do play games. The phone is about a month old. Any advice?
My battery is draining in 8 hours where it used to last longer. I've replaced it twice and I have reason to believe it is the device itself. I have shud down most of the unnessesary functions (ie Wifi, Bluetooth, etc) but the battery still only lasts about 8 hours when doing nothing. What can i do?
have a curve 3g leass than 6months old however the battery is just draining way too quickly since last 10-15days.
Also the OS hangs from time to time. The phone is revived only i remove the battery and out it back afterwhich battery shows as red, External Apps installed : Whatsapp, Quickpull and foursquare
Recently i have noticed my blackberry battery draining quickly (from fully charged) and only lasting roughly 5/6 hours, not even lasting a full day. The battery has only just started draining this quickly as since i got it (november 2011) as it was a replacement it would last roughly 1 and a half days without charging. I mainly use my phone for bbm, calling, texting and internet. And i close down any active applications that doesnt need to be open.
Few days ago i bought a new battery but its still no change
Had my Curve for a couple of years now. In just the last couple of weeks, it's starting to drain a battery in 4 hours or so with moderate use. And it's the same whether I'm using the old or one of my new batteries, so it's obviously not the battery itself. Even if I don't use it, it'll go to red in 6-8 hours, where it used to hold a charge for a couple of days, even with heavy use. I've checked the terminals and they're clean.
Since last 2 days my curve battery is draining within 3-5 hrs of charging. I ran AVG anit virus on the device through a PC and found a Torjan which was later removed. However, still battery is draing.

So...life up to now has been great with my 9300 but all of a sudden it is sucking battery power really fast. Can't keep a charge even 24 hours with very little phone use. Have experienced the same issue with three different batteries including a brand new one.
I have a blackberry 9300 3G curve with OS 6. Since past two days my battery is draining off very fast. I have changed the battery but the problem still exists. Even if i switch off the phone and switch it on again the battery is discharged.
I have only basic blackberry apps + facebook + whats app + google maps only. Rest i have uninstalled.
My curve 8520 is 30 months old. My battery is suddenly draining very quickly, an hour or so. Was fine yesterday. I have tried three other batteries, previously fine, and the same thing happens.
I have a BlackBerry 8520 . A few days ago the battery held almost 2 days . everything was ok. now, I don't use my phone for 5 or 6 hours and my battery is dead.
The send receive arrows are continuously flickering and the battery drain is horrendous, Have rebooted, deleted all emails and texts doesn't make any difference.
Ok seriously... this is BS [exscuse my language] but this is my second Blackberry Curve 8900 and second battery and I've only had blackberry for 11 months. The first 8900 the battery started draining rapidly after 4-5 months and kept deleting everything on my microSD card. I had it replaced... now this second 8900 is doing the same thing. I've had the second 8900 for 4 months. I charged it all night, took it off the charger at 7am; by the time i was out of class it was red and going dead at 10am!
I do not have wifi on, no bluetooth... and also, it pings [like I've gotten a new text or email], the LED light will flash red but there won't be a message or missed call!
Anyone have this issue too? I am having it replace for the second time, this will be my 3rd blackberry 8900. If I have issues and problems again, I will have to say goodbye to blackberry. Even though I love everything about BB, the style, the keypad and so forth, I need something that won't die on me after 4-5 months!
I charge the blackberrry battery up to 50%, then I unplug the charger then I turn it off. When I sleep, the battery drains so fast, I don't know what's happening, then my battery completely low, so I can't turn on the device.
I'm hoping someone can help me with something. I'm having an issue with constant data transfer and I wanna know what it is. I know the upload and download arrows flash every once in a while when changing areas around town but I have a lot of up and down data transfer and its draining my battery. I deleted all my apps and I am using just a plain precision zen theme and wiped my phone and started fresh but its still happening. It seems to stop a little when I turn of WiFi and GPS and it completely stops when I turn off all radio services. If I do this my battery will last all day but if I turn everything back on my battery will be dead in about 3 hours.
I'm running 5.0.0.592 on my T-MO 8900 .Is there a way to tell what's sending info so much? Is there an app out there that can tell me what's sending?
I am experiencing very frustrating battery issues on my BB Curve 9300. I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application. In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.
I purchased my 9300 in Feb 2011 and till last week , the battery charged stayed for two and a half to three days on an average. Suddenly from last Sunday, the battery is is going dead in 5 to 6 hrs time. Why is this and is there any thing I can do to stop this pls... Blue tooth, wi fi are all switched off.
I am now on my second BB9300. the first was brought back to Mobilicity corporate store to be sent in for repair. I had Texas poker, drivesafe.ly enterprise, weathertrax, gasbuddy, bubblebash 2 all were part of the complimentary gifts. I have uninstalled facebook, twitter apps. Taken all other languages off except english. Now I have even reduce backlight to 20% and turned off GPS. Leaving BB9300 inside pocket pouch just to test to see if it will last longer than 3 hrs. First day back it last 4 hrs. 2nd day last 3.5 hrs. It is almost as bad as my laptop Acer 5552-5686 which last 1.5hrs on 6cell battery. Does anyone know if I take out all apps then will it last longer?BTW poker game if I play two game which is about 20 minutes then battery life will be about 2 hrs. My question is what is the use of all these apps if you have no battery life. I cannot even use GPS?And to upgrade to another phone through their upgrade program after 3 months this one resale value is $50 how pathetic. I am going to test it for another wk before taking it back to Mobilicity for maybe a Samsung at least my last Samsung went through the laundry with extra wash and still work better than this crappy phone.
i own a 4 and half month old curve 9300, it came with os 5, in starting its back was around 15 to 20 hours . but last month i upgarded to os 6 its wonderful, my phone works smoothly on os 6 but my main problem is with battery back up which is reduced to 8 to 12 hours..my normal use of phone:-*i usualy recieve 10 to 15 mails daily *send 10 mails*facebook app running all time with 30 min of use..*facebook messanger running all time with occasionaly use..*2 hours chat on gtalk app and bbm*2 to 4 hour web browsing *100 txt message daily..*20 to 40 minutes of calling* network mode 2g n 3g*os version 6 bundle 2475* all apps are latest versions*gps off*wifi off*bluetooth off*free memory 55 mbback light 10€ and for 10 seconds only.. questions1 what is normal back up of a bb 93002 is my bb's back up is normal3 if not then what should i do4 is any batteries with good backup for my bb?
My battery meter has been on 25% now for nearly half a day. Even when i restart my Berry its still the same. Is that an accurate reading? Its brand new and still on its first charge.
I have a Curve 9300 with some applications I downloaded from App World. I think it drains the battery too quickly as I have to recharge it every 8-9 hours without using it. Is there a way to understand if some application is using the battery at all time or or a program that lists the running the aplplications?
I have a curve 9300, when I was using it, a message popped up saying that the battery was drained and it was shutting down. It was fully charged at the time and I haven't been able to turn it back on. I've tried taking the battery out many times and I've left it on charge all night.
I just got my BB curve 9300 about a month ago. I noticed the battery dies when it still has 30-40% life in it. It doesn't even give me a notification or anything. It's on one minute and I look the next and it's off. It will only turn back on if I stick it on the charger and charge it. This becomes a problem when I depend on it as an alarm in the morning or if I'm going to be out all day. I close my applications and everything. I don't think that would be a problem in this case anyways since the battery seems to still have 30-40% life in it.
My phone ran out of battery completely, and turned off, like normal. However, when I plugged it into my 240v wall charger, it came up with a battery symbol and a red cross over the top, something i have never seen before. I have taken the battery out and out it back in many times now and no luck. The LED turns red for a few seconds upon inserting the charger, but goes off and will not allow me to turn the phone on as usual.I have looked at my battery and next to the gold contact plates, is a little white strip, its turned partially red. I heard somewhere that the batterys have a device to notify you if the battery has become wet.
My Blackberry Curve 9300 is shutting down when the battery is charged. It can shut down at any time, and it is important for family contact reasons that my phone is available at all times. I can only restart the phone when the battery charger is plugged into the phone. It will not restart without it. Should I be replacing the battery with a new one?
