BB Curve :: Continuous Send Receive Draining Battery?
Nov 9, 2011The send receive arrows are continuously flickering and the battery drain is horrendous, Have rebooted, deleted all emails and texts doesn't make any difference.

BB Curve 8500 :: Battery Draining Fast / Tried Battery Pull
Jul 2, 2010My battrery has been running low quickly . For instance, I charged it yesterday and when it was done charging I made a phone call. I was on the phone for about 11/2 minutes. After I got off I looked at my battery and it was down 1/2 a brick. I've tried removing the battery for awhile, but it doesn't seem to help. I talk on it a lot through the day so I can understand it needing charged at night, but 1 minute off the charger and it's already losing power? I don't use the internet that much, but I do play games. The phone is about a month old. Any advice?

Feb 6, 2012My battery is draining in 8 hours where it used to last longer. I've replaced it twice and I have reason to believe it is the device itself. I have shud down most of the unnessesary functions (ie Wifi, Bluetooth, etc) but the battery still only lasts about 8 hours when doing nothing. What can i do?

Sep 23, 2011have a curve 3g leass than 6months old however the battery is just draining way too quickly since last 10-15days.
Also the OS hangs from time to time. The phone is revived only i remove the battery and out it back afterwhich battery shows as red, External Apps installed : Whatsapp, Quickpull and foursquare

Apr 6, 2011Recently i have noticed my blackberry battery draining quickly (from fully charged) and only lasting roughly 5/6 hours,not even lasting a full day. The battery has only just started draining this quickly as since i got it (november 2011) as it was a replacement it would last roughly 1 and a half days without charging. I mainly use my phone for bbm,calling,texting and internet. And i close down any active applications that doesnt need to be open.
Few days ago i bought a new battery but its still no change

And it's the same whether I'm using the old or one of my new batteries, so it's obviously not the battery itself. Even if I don't use it, it'll go to red in 6-8 hours, where it used to hold a charge for a couple of days, even with heavy use. I've checked the terminals and they're clean.

Jun 4, 2012My 9300 seems to drain the battery very quickly. i've tried several different batteries and it does to same to all.I re-installed OS V6 and still nothing. I get the little please wait clock continuously. Today fully charged the battery. Total usage on the phone has been 28 minutes and its been on standby for 7hours..The battery is down to 30%.

I have only basic blackberry apps + facebook + whats app + google maps only. Rest i have uninstalled.

Mar 31, 2010Ok seriously... this is BS [exscuse my language] but this is my second Blackberry Curve 8900 and second battery and I've only had blackberry for 11 months. The first 8900 the battery started draining rapidly after 4-5 months and kept deleting everything on my microSD card. I had it replaced... now this second 8900 is doing the same thing. I've had the second 8900 for 4 months. I charged it all night, took it off the charger at 7am; by the time i was out of class it was red and going dead at 10am!
I do not have wifi on, no bluetooth... and also, it pings [like I've gotten a new text or email], the LED light will flash red but there won't be a message or missed call!
Anyone have this issue too? I am having it replace for the second time, this will be my 3rd blackberry 8900. If I have issues and problems again, I will have to say goodbye to blackberry. Even though I love everything about BB, the style, the keypad and so forth, I need something that won't die on me after 4-5 months!

Dec 31, 2011I charge the blackberrry battery up to 50%, then I unplug the charger then I turn it off. When I sleep, the battery drains so fast, I don't know what's happening, then my battery completely low, so I can't turn on the device.

Aug 4, 2010I'm hoping someone can help me with something. I'm having an issue with constant data transfer and I wanna know what it is. I know the upload and download arrows flash every once in a while when changing areas around town but I have a lot of up and down data transfer and its draining my battery. I deleted all my apps and I am using just a plain precision zen theme and wiped my phone and started fresh but its still happening. It seems to stop a little when I turn of WiFi and GPS and it completely stops when I turn off all radio services. If I do this my battery will last all day but if I turn everything back on my battery will be dead in about 3 hours.
I'm running 5.0.0.592 on my T-MO 8900 .Is there a way to tell what's sending info so much? Is there an app out there that can tell me what's sending?

Sep 24, 2012I'm currently having an issue with the Droid Razr M where it begins rebooting when the battery is low. After the phone boots back up, it immidiatly reboots again and will continue doing this forever. The only solution I've found thus far is to boot into safe mode and uninstall the 3rd party launcher (doesn't matter which one). This will allow the phone to be booted into normal mode again. However, regadarless of if a launcher is installed or not, the phone will begin rebooting again the next time the power gets low.

Aug 24, 2010Problem: Boost branded 8330 not sending or receiving MMS. When I attempt to send MMS the message appears to attempt to send but ultimately fails and displays a red x next to the message.What is working: Everything else. Internet is working fine, I can send pics via email.Steps taken to attempt to fix during 6 calls to Boost customer care: The reps I spoke with had me provision the phone again, pull the battery out while the phone was on. Deleted the Transport and Client MMS service books and provisioned. Steps I have taken: Checked for service book updates, and registered the host routing table. Countless battery pulls. I searched the forums and couldn't find any other threads addressing MMS problems with Boost branded 8330's specifically. Tried sending smaller pics. My phone does display 1XEV, and under service books I have MMS Client & MMS Transport (when I look at the MMS Transport, the gateway IP shows all zeros). I've had users on almost all other carriers try to send me MMS.I've checked MMS options and message reception is enabled.

So far so good, except when I get a reply I get nothing on the blackberry but the replies are all in my hotmail inbox on my laptop. As of yesterday 1am, the 30 or so emails sent to my gmail haven't appeared on my Blackberry. If I try to send a message I get the standard 'packet error' message. I've googled for various solutions, but they all seem directed at users with older blackberries, so I haven't been able to use them.

Apr 11, 2010I just bought a blackberry Curve, 8530. I had my email set up at the store and even got my blackberry registration email. However, I go to compose an email, and my phone tells me that "no message services are configured". That would be fine, if my email was not already set up, according to my blackberry. I tried going through the whole process again, and then it tells me that my email is already set up. But, it says I can only save a draft, not send, when I'm done.
I owned a pearl before this, but never used many of the features. I would like to be able to use more of them on this phone. I am a bit of an electrical gimp.
