I am having battery issues . Yesterday once completely drained the battery took 9 hours to charge 95% and it wont charge after that and now for 2 hours I've put the phone on charging, its showing the same charge. I've even tried changing chargers, but no luck.. I've OS 7
I can't seem to get by Blackberry to charge anymore. When I plug it in, it shows a battery icon with a lighting bolt through it - but it doesnt charge the phone.
Bought my bold 2 a year back. Just bought a new battery for my Bold 2 (9700) with a 6 months warranty as previous battery used to drain out quickly. Tried charging but there is a battery sign with a red cross over it even after charging it for 3 hours. When I use my old battery, it is functioning well as before. What is the problem?
I have had my Bold for about 18 months. I bought it new from ATT. The only trouble I have had started about a week ago. My battery will not charge fully. It started off by doing this last weekend, never charging to over 60 percent. Most of the time it hovered around 20-30% (different after every battery pull). After several battery pulls, both plugged in and unplugged, I thought it was fixed. It charged fully and worked correctly for about 5 days.
Then this weekend it does the same thing, except it never got above 20%. A lot of the time it was in the red, sometimes enough that the radio would shut off. It was charging some because working with it plugged in last night, it never completely shut down.I wiped the phone last night and installed Willyboy 9000 v4.2 .610/.662/.664/.669 hoping that it was possibly some software problem. I like the OS, but it didn't help my problem. I had 5.0.0.592 when the problem started.
I went and got a new RIM oem battery from the ATT store today. This new battery won't charge past 50%. I have once again tried numerous battery pulls today with no improvement in the charging of the battery. As before, the little lightning symbol does come on indicating that it is charging. After the wipe and reinstall, I have not installed any third party apps. The battery, neither old nor new, does not get hot.
Yesterday I got my first Blackberry. The Battery is still half full, but I need a USB modem tethering connection nearly every day for the next few weeks. That means I don't really have chance to run my battery dead in order to treat it right and get the best condition out of it. Is there any chance to disable the charging function in the desktop manager software, or enabling the tethering fuction over Bluetooth? Or is there no need to worry about the battery, when you charge it?
My Blackberry Bold shows the small letters CM over the battery icon when the charger is connected but it will not charge. I've tried removing the battery putting it back in, I've tried 3 chargers, but the battery just continued to drain until it finally went into red. I've been "googling" all day and cannot find any reference to what I'm seeing.
I have a Bold 9000 & one month ago I have plugged it in to a car charger (not BB original one). In that moment the phone turned off instantly and when trying to turn it back on the LCD remained completely white. I could not make or receive calls, e-mail, etc., the phone was dead whit the LCD white. when I got home I plugged in the AC charger & the phone started ok. Now if I charge it fully I can use it for one day, or half day if it is very intense used. If the battery goes bellow 75-80% & I access basic functions (e-mail, sms, browsing) in 1-2 mins the LCD goes white & the phone is dead. Basically I need to keep the battery level higher than 80% in order to make sure I can use my phone.
Ive had my bold 9790 a few months now, but recently the touch screen facility no longer works and the charger falls out of the bottom of the phone and you have to wrestle with it to take a charge! I went to my provider and they said i must backup my phone< which i have no idea how to do! T mobile just assume every one is a techno genius and their customer service sucks!
I updated my Bold 9700 OS to 5.0.0.862 about 2 weeks ago. Everything was working fine up until Saturday, charging 1 minute then the next nothing, tried wall charger, car charger and also through the computer...nothing . This is the message the phone displays "The charging source connected to your Blackberry device cannot charge your battery."
The lightning icon is there but the battery level does not increase.I cant downgrade the OS since the computer doesnot recognize the device, I constantly get an error message. "Usb device has malfunctioned."
I jsut got a new battery because my last one did this. and i went to bed i left it pluged into the wall charging and i turned it off. the leds were blinkin yellow dunno if thats normal nvr doen this before. and when i woke up i cant get the phone on and all i can get is battery blue charging symbol. Ive tried taknig it out and waiting 30 seconds while its pluged in and hasnt done anything. any suggestions?
When I connect through USB port to recharge, I get a message on the blackberry that says something to the effect: "The device you are connected to is not capable of charging your battery." I am able to charge by connecting directly to the 115 V AC plug but not via computer.
I have already read enough of this great forum post, I hope in the future to helpbeginners like me, one day we had to IOS (formerly had a Galaxy S2) and now we are more than comfortable with my 4s!I have the cell phone constantly charging, either in the Dock, when I go to bed, Through The cable in my university (when I'm in class or on the computer in the Library), this because the phone if consuming battery (I have the iOS 5.0.1) and hate running out of battery (no phone) when I'm away from home. Then the doubt (I've already searched in many forums) is whether this is detrimental tothe battery of the phone, or simply when the iPhone detects that is loaded, just stops receiving load and nothing happens:
Just purchased iPhone 4S and it's sucking the life out of the battery. I've read several posts to turn items off to save battery life and nothing seems to be working.
Help! I bought a BlackBerry Charging Pod for my 9700, the packaging that came with it says it is for a Tour 9630.
I plugged it in and the power light on the pod lit up but there is no indication on the 9700 that says it is charging when placed in pod and I set the clock to display when charging and that doesn't work when placed in the pod!I bought it from a place called OEM in Brooklyn.
When I put my phone on the charger at night.. I'm waking up to only a 65-70% charge. Thats as far as it gets. I've tried changing from the stock cord.. To my alternate (new) cord.. And nothing. I have three extra battery's and all are doing the same. I'm also dealing with a significant amount of heating up of my phone too. All apps are closed frequently and especially before bed.
As what I wrote on the topic, may I know is it common for phone batteries to heat up during charging? I'm having a Nokia X2-00, BL-4C type battery. And another wonder that why do my phone charges it's battery when connected to the CPU via USB? Replies are much appreciated.
Since last 2 days my curve battery is draining within 3-5 hrs of charging. I ran AVG anit virus on the device through a PC and found a Torjan which was later removed. However, still battery is draing.
I let my month-old Torch power down completely for the first time. I plugged it in to recharge, and nothing is happening. I went through all the troubleshooting advice on the BB website, and nothing worked. I even tried 2 different chargers. Normally when charging, the device is slightly warm.
Battery is draining while charging, I did restarted the phone and it works the phone is charging, then after the first charged it came back again draining while charging?
I've just bought a new XPeria Z2 smartphone, which I'm really excited about. As the battery went down to 5%, I set the phone on my magnetic charger, which came in the package of the Z2. In the morning, (after 6 hours), the battery was at 66% only, and didn't charge any further.
Here is a screen shot what what is happening. I plug it in when I got to bed. I've tried different chargers, different cords, different outlets, and a factory reset (which sucks by the way). It doesn't happen every night, but I'd say more than 50% of the time.
Today while charging my phone the battery hit 10OF/38C for the first time. I was using the fast charger this time, but it seems to be random when it gets hot and little correlation to which charger I use. I've had it stay cool (80)on fast charge, get to 95 via USB to my work PC and all sorts of other combinations. Is there a pattern I'm missing or is it really as random as it seems.
