I purchased Xperia Neo V a few days back and today I connected the phone to the PC through USB and it started charging. Surprisingly I was not able to operate the phone while it was charging (screen was not responding to the tap or touch). This is really annoying, cos I purchased the set only a few days back.

Is there a way to have the second sim active for data only and disable voice calls on it? I need this for two reasons:
Not having to see the popup and choose a sim every time I make a phone call.Eliminate the possibility of choosing the wrong sim when making a phone call, since the second sim is intended for data only.
A few days ago the battery completely discharged and the phone switched off so i recharged it but initially i couldn't turn it on, it kept vibrating but the screen remained black. After several attempts (startup screen appearing but shutting off) i got it to turn on but the touch screen wasn't responding, i couldn't unlock the keypad. I was beginning to think my phone was bricked but taking the battery out and reinserting it seems to have sorted things out. Now i'm reluctant to let the battery fully discharge in case it happens again and i can't recover the phone!
Is this a bug caused by the update? I've read of others having similar issues. Yesterday for a few hours i couldn't dl apps from the store which is why i ask as similarly others have had this issue since updating. My X10 came with the update but was fine up until then.
I usually charge my phone overnight because the battery goes almost dead by the end of the day. I had connected my phone to the charger and tried to use the touch screen, it didnt work to my surprise. I tried to use the hardware buttons, they seemed to be working but all that in vain because when i tried to switch off the phone, i couldn't...!! Because the final screen to confirm the switch off of the phone is a touch command. This is not expected to happen on a device that i paid so much for...
I think there is some problem with the gravity sensor when connecting to the charger, i have seen this only when i connect my phone for charging and when the phone is in a position where the screen is facing the floor tilted towards the right. I have seen this problem 3 times, and would not like to see it happen again.
When I tried to connect to magnetic charging dock the Led and the charging symbol starts blinking continuously without getting charged, while it used to be perfect previously, and usb charging is perfectly fine , i even tried with multiple chargers.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a brand new Nokia E63.I can't get the Nokia PC suite to 'see' it.I have uninstalled, reinstalled the software - got the most up to date, mad sure I run the Nokia cleaner software to remove all traces, tried the cable drivers, selected the right connection mode on the phone (and tried all the others), got the right CA-101 USB cable (brand new), and followed all the help screens and files I can find. In short I have tried every combination I can think of (and I'm handy around a PC), but the software suite still it can't see the phone when it goes to look for it.I can't even change the connection mode on the phone to mass storage device and get windows to see it when I plug in the USB connection.In short I am totally baffled and can't find my micro SD card reader so connecting the phone is my only current option to update my SD card data. I would certainly welcome some pointers as I can't think of anything else to try and have literally spent hours trying to get it to work. Absolutely nothing happens when I plug the phone into the PC and this seems so odd - normally windows sees something.Running Windows XP on a HP Compaq nx 6325 with Zone Alarm virus and firewall in the background if that makes any difference.

I press a key on the keyboard and it won't type it on the screen for 3 seconds.If I select an app it takes forever to load and if I tap a picture in the album it showed it all pixilated foe almostt 3 seconds then becomes clear.Is there any way to get it to run fast again by DEFRAG ing the drive or is there a way to clear old stuff out of its background to help it run fast again? My blackberry torch screen backlight will always stay on while charging even when i have exit the bedside mode. I also have to tell all of you that i have set the screen backlight time to 30 secs. I dont know what have caused this issue to happen. it didnt used to be like this. I am able to replicate this issue. i find out that to make the screen backlight work normally again i have to unplug the charger and replug it back to my bb and the screen can off after i have exit the bedside mode. in conclusion, i have to unplug and replug the charger to my bb in order to have my screen backlight to turn off after i have exit the bedside. Does anybody ever come across this issue before? I am not sure what version of os that i am running right now but i can assure that i am on the latest os since i just updated the day i bought it from my computer.I also have to tell you that there is no exchange policy in the place i bought my bb.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had this storm for a while now, since like Jan of last year. Its given me my headaches, and little things with using too much memory with their apps...sucks lol.
But the latest issue is with charging. I noticed sometimes the bolt comes up saying that its getting power, and sometimes it will just staylike that, but will loose power, or if i wiggle it the right way it will stay charging.
If not then sometimes it wont get a charge even though its plugged in! Is it the charger, or the phone port? Becuase I am charging it through my computer, although super slow, it doesnt have the same issues as my wall charger by my bed!
This week I have been having problems with the above phone, when I try to charge (using the charger supplied with the phone) it is fine for about 1 hour then I get a messgae that their is a charging error. I have checked my phone has the most up to date software, and tried phone repair using PC suite, which also fails. Am currently only able to charge via USB, which takes ages. Have only had the phone for a year - and still have 6 months to go on my contract.

Its got to the point now where the charger does not work at all so i have borrowed another charger with the same connector this worked fine but with the same problems as before but now the phone will not charge at all. The charge light comes on on the phone but the percentage charge on the phone screen just keeps going down and not charging. I cannot take it back to 02 as i did not take out any insurance with them and its way over the 30 day guarantee.

Here's my story, i using my xperia neo v last monday morning around 13:30AM (3/19) without any issues and then i decided to go to sleep around 11AM. I leave my phone power on after around 12PM i half wake and check my phone and i see that the 3G connection is "ON" so i turn it off since it will drain my battery fast. After that i went back to sleep and i woke up around 6PM same day. I check my phone and there's no power and im thinking maybe the battery is fully drain then i quickly charge my phone after i plug the charger in AC socket there's no orange light on my phone below the power button. Until today my phone still not working 3/22 but i notice that when i press and hold the power button the oreange light blinks for 1 to 3 time but no display showing on my screen.
