Is there a way to have the second sim active for data only and disable voice calls on it? I need this for two reasons:
Not having to see the popup and choose a sim every time I make a phone call.Eliminate the possibility of choosing the wrong sim when making a phone call, since the second sim is intended for data only.
I purchased Xperia Neo V a few days back and today I connected the phone to the PC through USB and it started charging. Surprisingly I was not able to operate the phone while it was charging (screen was not responding to the tap or touch). This is really annoying, cos I purchased the set only a few days back.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a brand new Nokia E63.I can't get the Nokia PC suite to 'see' it.I have uninstalled, reinstalled the software - got the most up to date, mad sure I run the Nokia cleaner software to remove all traces, tried the cable drivers, selected the right connection mode on the phone (and tried all the others), got the right CA-101 USB cable (brand new), and followed all the help screens and files I can find. In short I have tried every combination I can think of (and I'm handy around a PC), but the software suite still it can't see the phone when it goes to look for it.I can't even change the connection mode on the phone to mass storage device and get windows to see it when I plug in the USB connection.In short I am totally baffled and can't find my micro SD card reader so connecting the phone is my only current option to update my SD card data. I would certainly welcome some pointers as I can't think of anything else to try and have literally spent hours trying to get it to work. Absolutely nothing happens when I plug the phone into the PC and this seems so odd - normally windows sees something.Running Windows XP on a HP Compaq nx 6325 with Zone Alarm virus and firewall in the background if that makes any difference.

my iPhone fell on the floor yesterday; now it will ony operate when connected to the PC - then it works fine. If I disconnect it from the PC, the screen reverts to black with the apple logo, eventually completely black; iPhone is unresponsive until reconnected to PC.

I press a key on the keyboard and it won't type it on the screen for 3 seconds.If I select an app it takes forever to load and if I tap a picture in the album it showed it all pixilated foe almostt 3 seconds then becomes clear.Is there any way to get it to run fast again by DEFRAG ing the drive or is there a way to clear old stuff out of its background to help it run fast again? It appears no one is developing apps for BB anymore. Will BB's OS 10 be able to run Android apps? I ask this because I understand those with Mac computers can run Windows programs. Will BB apps designed for OS 5, 6, or 7 run on BB10?

I tried uninstalling the app but still the problem persists. Loudness and dynamic headroom of the DAC is better than the headphone jack. It is recognized by using the USB Audio Player app or Detect USB Device in Settings>Device Connection>USB Connectivity.
I tried to use an acasis H027 hub that claims to be able to do what I need: charge while playing music, but all kinds of trial and error resulted in only errors. The DACmagic is only recognized when there is no charging going on.
I upgraded from a P990i to a X10. I made a backup of contacts, calendar, notes and other stuff with the Sony Ericsson PC Suite for Smartphones (the application that came with the P990i). How do I import this data into the X10?

I've upgraded my X10i to 2.3.3 Gingerbread recently. I've also installed various programs after that. Wireless was working fine till suddenly applications using the net ceased to connect or download over wireless. Mobile connection works ok but when I switch to wireless, net activity stops. I didn't change any setting on my modem (US Robotics). I also have an Android Pad which can connect through the same modem without any problem, also my wifes laptop doesn't have problems connecting. Then I tweaked further and discovered that my X10i can't resolve domains into IPs. When I use the website's IP to connect everything is fine. I can browse or download within the same website that I connected with its IP but if I try a link to somewhere else or try with the domain name the phone gets stuck trying to connect (surely at the domain resolving state). My local support told me either to use repair on PC Companion or change the modem settings to Wep (it's wpa/wpa2-psk currently) but I want to do neither cuz I can't change every modems setting I come across nor reset the firmware everytime with all my program installed gone to trash. There must be a clear solution, more likely a setting somewhere.
And that's exactly the same problem I have, I can browse when connected with IP addresses but not with domain names. Although my x10 is also upgraded to 2.3, I don't think that's a 2.3 problem. I too think that's a setting problem somewhere.

View 8 Replies View RelatedDropped the X8 and killed all but a postage stamp in the left hand corner of the screen.Stupidly no backups or syncs of my contacts anywhere.The sim phonebooks ok but will not show the data correctly on the borrowed samsung.
I would like to transfer the Sim data to the Sd card in the x8.The touchscreen still works even though I can't see much info,I can open phonebook.then in menu i see bottom three buttons as imp/ send/? there appears to be at least one above these.
I assumed imp to be the import button if I continue by selecting this I get a couple of buttons.export to / export to and I presume the bottom grey one to be cancel.However there at least one above these I cannot see. Perhaps someone could let me know the layout of these screen and which is the export to sd button.
I did an upgrade today, followed instructions, did backup with all boxs ticked, after upgrade completed I did the retore action etc. But I have not got all contacts saved and do not have any of the previously uploaded applications. I need them urgently, but no one available at erickson help line. Also vodaphone phone line and service office are not able to help me my service is with them.How do I get this critical info back, as I urgently need to contact several people in my contact list, but can't without their numbers that are saved into my phone or wherever they get saved when entered.Have also done previous backups, but none seem to restore this info.
Just a few minutes ago, my phone alerted me to have my files (photos and videos) to be transferred to my SD card. I did clicked it I thought everything would be alright. But then upon transferring my datas all the dates and times of the photos are all messed up I'm not sure what happened there, but I was confident that this wont be mixed up or something.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem that occurred today after a year of using Z2 without any issues.I've connected my phone to PC to drop/backup some important photos I've made with Win explorer (as usual, sd card, copy, paste to C:userdocumentsphoto... etc.)
And after the backup copying was complete I saw in explorer that 6 Gigabytes in Sd card were gone. I went back to see if photos copied properly and they did, but Z2 has erased also movies, settings, music and e-books from SD card... it went completely stock with only android folder on board.
Restarted the phone, see if it will recover SD itself but all media was gone, in settings, application some of the sony apps were dated to February 1970 ?!?! There was no background defocus and AR effect in 1970 right?? Scanned the phone and Win7 with Avast, Spybot 2015 and BitDefender... all devices and PC are clean and protected.
