I've reseted the data of my phone recently and I've backed it up in my sd card but I don't know how to restore the data found in the sd card to my phone,how do I do this?I need my contacts and messages
View 8 RepliesI recently did the update to gingerbread, However i did not know that the old "Backup and Restore" was incompatible, So that is the app i used to backup all my files before i did the update.. Does anyone know how i would go about restoring all my contacts, data, apps, and SMS messages?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I just been upgrading my Xperia Z2. The phone was on Android 4.4.2 when I used the Backup & Restore application to backup my System apps data, and some of my Downloaded apps with data. I had to upgrade to 4.4.4. I think it was a mistake that I didn't make a backup on 4.4.4 as well. Now I've upgraded to 5.0, and all of my apps & settings were kept, but I wanted to start clean, so I did a factory reset.
Now when I'm trying to use the Backup & Restore app again to Restore the backup file I made on 4.4.2, a window pops up saying "Cannot restore, Selected backup records cannot be used due to incompatible software versions. Please select a more recent backup file."
Backup and restore App in Z1?????that one can fully backup and restore all the apps and data .

But now I tried to restore my saved data but it won't work somehow because it tells me, that I have the wrong device connected, although I do have the right device connected.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have created the Restore from backup... with Sony Bridge for Mac. All seems ok.
When i wanted to do Restore from backup... i was able to see my restore point.. i can select it.. restore process goes well .. all DONE.
BUT NOTHING RESTORED... not a single photo.. contact... app... anything...
I just unlocked my bootloader, and following the subsequent reset I tried to restore from my backup in the SD Card. Everything shows up, the SD Card with the date I backed up and everything. When I click the button, nothing happens. It registers my touch, I get the button animation and the little "ting" sound, but that's it. It stays in that screen and nothing happens.
What I tried so far:
Reboot
Reinsert SD Card
Connect to my accounts (Google, Sony)
Input my old PIN code
Unchecking options
It's currently reinstalling all my apps, will update if anything changes after that. Reinstalling all apps doesn't solve it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedDropped the X8 and killed all but a postage stamp in the left hand corner of the screen.Stupidly no backups or syncs of my contacts anywhere.The sim phonebooks ok but will not show the data correctly on the borrowed samsung.
I would like to transfer the Sim data to the Sd card in the x8.The touchscreen still works even though I can't see much info,I can open phonebook.then in menu i see bottom three buttons as imp/ send/? there appears to be at least one above these.
I assumed imp to be the import button if I continue by selecting this I get a couple of buttons.export to / export to and I presume the bottom grey one to be cancel.However there at least one above these I cannot see. Perhaps someone could let me know the layout of these screen and which is the export to sd button.
Just a few minutes ago, my phone alerted me to have my files (photos and videos) to be transferred to my SD card. I did clicked it I thought everything would be alright. But then upon transferring my datas all the dates and times of the photos are all messed up I'm not sure what happened there, but I was confident that this wont be mixed up or something.

I installed a 32Gb micro SD.
Everytime I transfer data (music or photo) on the card, it become corrupted. There is no problem with everything that stay on the internal memory.
The problem is present if I transfer through the phone or through the PC app.
I first tought the card was the problem. I tried it on the PC, I tested it with an app on the PC: the card is fine with no error. I also tried 2 other cards, they all do the same.
Don't fall in this trap and let the phone move data from internal memory to SD card to free up space as it can be interrupted for some unkown reasons and end up losing your data. ( Interruption in my case was screen auto lock i believe )It happened to me yesterday when it was moving the pictures and all of them are gone now.
I contact the customer care and they said to format the SD card What i found that the capacity of SD card increased and a folder called LOST.DIR was shown there..

My internal memory is about 75% full so I bought a 32GB SD card.
When I go to Settings -> Storage -> Transfer data to SD card nothing happens at all. No error message, dialog or notification appears.
I have seen what is supposed to happen form instructional videos.
I can see the SD card is present in the storage menu with approx 29GB free, and I can view the card in ES File Explorer.
Ive had my z2 for a day and my memory is at 75%. I've managed to transfer my photos and videos to the sd card but it won't let me transfer my music. It says "transfer interrupted. Check sd card for possibly transfered data"...

Once the internal memory starts to get full, it asks to transfer to the external SD drive.
As it transfers by MTP the timestamp of the photos and videos are scrambled and sometimes i cant even find the photos or videos.

In the storage section of settings on my Xperia Z2 there is a "transfer Data to sd card" option. it use to work just fine. Once the internal storage was awfully full and came a notification that said "75% full, transfer data to sd card" tried it like always but this time it fails to start. When I try to run it from inside the settings, also fails to start.

This message has occurred a number of times before and I have successfully transferred files to the SD card each time.However, during the last transfer I somehow cancelled it halfway through the transfer.
Now when I try to transfer again, I get the error 'Transfer Interrupted. Please check your SD Card for possibly transferred data.'
