Aug 18, 2010I turned my phone off then on. In the process of it starting up it kept on turning on and off by itself. I had no chance to do anything before it wouldn't turn off again. The battery said it was full but everytime it turned back on I could see it was loosing life. I went to plug it in to charge but that wouldn't help as it wouldn't charge while it was turning on and off all the time. I tried to take the battery out. I have taken the memory card out. Now it has frozen with a white lit up screen.

Jun 15, 2010Yesterday I purchased my new BB Curve 8520. I was so happy with it until, I ran some new app and it completly froze. I pulled the battery out. Put it back, turned it on and no results. None of my keys are working. If I press alt or shifts it shows on the right upper corner of the screen that they are being activated, but nothing else happens. I've been trying for hours. I tried the old Alt+shift+Del, I took the sim out, the memory card. I left the phone without battery for an hour but no use. And also my speaker icon shows star insted of curves and my Antenna isn't working either.

BB Bold :: 9900 Keyboard Frozen But Repeating Letters?
Sep 4, 2012I'm currently using a Bold 9900 under T-Mobile. The phone repeats the letters "n" and "m" nonstop. If I leave my phone down, it would show "nmnmnmnmnmnm" after a minute. The keyboard, trackpad, and unlock buttons are also not responsive. I've tried the batter pull numerous times, and it has shown improvement once (I was able to type in my password and go into the home menu). Soon after that the problem returned. The phone just seems half dead and its reponse to my actions are random. Sometimes I'm unable to unlock my phone even after pressing the unlock button numerous times.
I did go to a beach with my phone. But there was no water or sand damage. It was in my hotel room the whole time. as the phone is completely unuseable right now. The screen works, but I am unable to press any keys to unlock/use my phone.

Feb 28, 2011I have a BB Curve 8900 and my keyboard and roller-ball seem to be frozen. I had no issues at all on yesterday and then in the evening today everything just sort of...froze. The ball will scroll but I cant click on anything or use ANY of the keys. It registers as getting texts in and my light is blinking but, like I said, I can't access anything at all. I have removed the battery for nearly 12 hours to no avail.

Nov 27, 2011i have forgotten the unlock code for my BB curve 8530. It was freezing up and after hard restart would only go to device locked screen and allow me to switch betwe3en the choices but then would not go to screen i chose. Have downloaded the desktop software and been prompted for the unlock code. Should i have some confirmation code documentation that may have been sent to me, because i cant seem to find any. I bought the phone used and cant remember if i had to have the code to activate it or not this phone now belongs to my teenage daughter and we all know what a teenager w/o a working phone is like to be around!

Typing seems a little snappier. Whether that's perceived or real I'm not 100% sure.I also wonder if there's any battery savings benefit.
BB Torch :: Alt Function Is Frozen?
May 23, 2012It would seem that the ALT function is stuck because I can only access the numbers and not the letters on both the physical keyboard and the virtual keyboard.
I have reset the phone several times. Updated with the latest software, even reset to factory setting and still nothing. My phone is locked with a password so I can't even enter my PIN because it comprises of letters. My carrier can't do anything and my warranty has expired.
I have read some of the other similar problems and my phone has no case or cover on it. On top of it all, it is stuck in SOS mode so I don't even have a signal so I can't even receive phone calls.

Apr 11, 2011Woke up this morning to find my 9800 Torch had ran out of battery it was completely dead. When I tried to charge the phone the startup screen came up as normal but it froze when it got to a certain point, I took out the battery and replaced it after 30 seconds, the phone started to reboot and then froze at the same point.I have reinstalled the OS onto my device from Blackberry desktop and have tried this several times today but it is still freezing at the same point, after about 20-30 minutes of leaving the phone it eventually very slowly came on!t the moment my phone is completely useless to me as it has froze again.

Sep 28, 2012I am from South Africa using a 9810 on Mtn network with OS 7.1 . I took my contract out under my name and i gave the 9810 to the wife. The phone automatically asked her to update to os7.1 and the phone worked well for a month.
Eventually the phone started freezing where i can see my screen but i cant see beyond what my screen shows, my cursor works fine as if i scroll down and click it will randomely select the menu icon below or the BBm contact below.
I have done a battery pull not , eventually the wife got fed up and said we need to swop phones , so now i am using a 9810 that is useless if you ask me.
The otther problem i am having is when i switched devices my BB Id stayed on my old phone and her BBId stayed on the 9810 any way i can swop , i tried going into menu > device > BBID and edit it but it keeps telling me incorrect password. Also my e-mail is stuck on that device and her e-mail on my device.

Device Manager/USB Root Hub/allow computer to turn off device ...plug in device...It then repats the same process again and again with same instructions. Jan 11, 2012I was having issues with my trackpad -- and this thread said to do a clean reload. So I did, and left it going overnight. When I came back to it in the morning, it said it couldn't connect to the device, and that it might require a password.
I don't have a password set, so I clicked retry. I got the same message an hour later. The progress bar looks like it has about 80% left to go.
The phone has been reset to factory defalt, so I'm worried I've lost all my files. I did a few backups before staring, but I have no idea how to restore it myself, and if I should interupt the process.
