My phone has been frozen all day. The past couple of days it's been really slow, then today it just completely froze. I've tried battery pulling about 6 times.. same results. I don't know what to do. It won't connect to the desktop manager
View 9 RepliesDid the latest wireless software upgrade for Storm 2 9950 last night and my phone has been frozen on white page showing 44% download all night. Took battery out for 10 mins - didn't work. Shut phone off - didn't work. Once the phone is back on it goes directly to the white page.
View 4 Replies View Related1) i charged the battery of my phone over night (meaning in the morning it was fully charged). by 3pm it was already totally empty. i re-charged it till dinner. now at 11:30pm it is again fully empty and i noticed also that the phone and battery are totally hot!
what do i do? this doesn't seem normal. i recently downloaded 2 games onto the phone but i don't think this has necessary somethign to do with it.
2) i have a problem with the trackpad. it moves around the menu normally and sometimes within inside options, but as example inside an sms to move up and down sentences or messages, it doesn't move at all. it doesn't move at all. i try to see if i changed a setting or something but didn't seem to find anything.
I have downloaded the new OS and since then my battery runs down within 4-5 hours.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have a blackberry torch 9800 and recently got a swap because my old blackberry torch 9800 broke but now im having a new problem, and this is the battery. The battery drains in roughly four hours? My light is on as dark as it will go and it dims i the shortest of times. Every thing is off but it still manages to drain, i have barely any applications and i have tried four chargers in different plugs. The battery is just draining so quickly is there anyway that i can slow this down?

It was bought in March 2011 and today after sending 3 texts and checking the time, maybe unlocking 3 times, the battery only has a third left. I charged it all night. Wifi is disabled, and I don't use data. Previous user had it as a work phone sending several emails and using data, pin, calling and texting, so that could be a reason why the battery life is so poor, I'm just skeptical about purchasing a new battery when it seems RIM has had some battery issues. Any advice on whether I should go ahead with the purchase? I'm just worried I'll be facing a short battery life with a new battery in a matter of months.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt would seem that the ALT function is stuck because I can only access the numbers and not the letters on both the physical keyboard and the virtual keyboard.
I have reset the phone several times. Updated with the latest software, even reset to factory setting and still nothing. My phone is locked with a password so I can't even enter my PIN because it comprises of letters. My carrier can't do anything and my warranty has expired.
I have read some of the other similar problems and my phone has no case or cover on it. On top of it all, it is stuck in SOS mode so I don't even have a signal so I can't even receive phone calls.
When I connected my blackberry to the desktop software, I noticed that there was an update from version 7.0 Bundle 1672 to 7.0 Bundle 2395. I selected Update and now the update appears to be frozen. however I am told that if i disconnect, it could render the device unusable. See screenshot.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWoke up this morning to find my 9800 Torch had ran out of battery it was completely dead. When I tried to charge the phone the startup screen came up as normal but it froze when it got to a certain point, I took out the battery and replaced it after 30 seconds, the phone started to reboot and then froze at the same point.I have reinstalled the OS onto my device from Blackberry desktop and have tried this several times today but it is still freezing at the same point, after about 20-30 minutes of leaving the phone it eventually very slowly came on!t the moment my phone is completely useless to me as it has froze again.

I've left my phone for 2 hours for the software update and it's only done 15% and stays on there, I've done the alt caps key and delete key to restart the phone but now my phone is frozen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am from South Africa using a 9810 on Mtn network with OS 7.1 . I took my contract out under my name and i gave the 9810 to the wife. The phone automatically asked her to update to os7.1 and the phone worked well for a month.
Eventually the phone started freezing where i can see my screen but i cant see beyond what my screen shows, my cursor works fine as if i scroll down and click it will randomely select the menu icon below or the BBm contact below.
I have done a battery pull not , eventually the wife got fed up and said we need to swop phones , so now i am using a 9810 that is useless if you ask me.
The otther problem i am having is when i switched devices my BB Id stayed on my old phone and her BBId stayed on the 9810 any way i can swop , i tried going into menu > device > BBID and edit it but it keeps telling me incorrect password. Also my e-mail is stuck on that device and her e-mail on my device.
In process of downloading new updates to Torch 9800 it stopped with instructions to:unplug device,go to Control Panel .... Device Manager/USB Root Hub/allow computer to turn off device ...plug in device...It then repats the same process again and again with same instructions. I've turned everything else off on computer, but now BB is frozen and still no upgrade complete.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was having issues with my trackpad -- and this thread said to do a clean reload. So I did, and left it going overnight. When I came back to it in the morning, it said it couldn't connect to the device, and that it might require a password.
I don't have a password set, so I clicked retry. I got the same message an hour later. The progress bar looks like it has about 80% left to go.
The phone has been reset to factory defalt, so I'm worried I've lost all my files. I did a few backups before staring, but I have no idea how to restore it myself, and if I should interupt the process.
