BB Torch :: Touch Screen During Calls Too Sensitive?
Dec 3, 2010
I have constantly had a problem of the touch screen on my Torch being way too sensitive during phone calls. I frequently put people on hold or speaker phone accidentally during calls. Is there any way to eliminate the touch screen menu function while I am on the phone or make it less sensitive?
iPhone's touch screen is so sensitive that I often accidently call a contact, especially when I use the favorite screes. Is there a way to set up a confirmation call (without jailbreaking)?
I'm pulling my hair out every time I use this phone. I have heard you can adjust the touch screen to make it less sensitive, but I've got no idea how to do it!
It seems strange, but I like the version 2.1 and the standard launcher, adapt perfectly to the x10 mini pro. So I have a question: The standard Launcher is very sensitive to touch, that is, when I change screen, it just goes to the editing widgets. I'm not getting much time with his finger on the screen.
I've had my Defy for almost a year and avoid sending text because the screen is not touch sensitive. It is pretty constant. I have to just about bash the screen to get any response when trying to input text. It also happens when trying to answer the phone or select apps.
My iPhone 5s touch screen has a problem where it can be hyper sensitive.
In certain screens like iMessage, when I tap lightly in one area, the screen will continually to scroll upwards even when I am NOT doing the swiping up motion.Â
Sometimes worse is when I tap on a message to try to read it, it automatically swipe left on the message thread and delete the whole message thread and that is very frustrating and means I lose entire conversations. Â
OTher times, when I am typing out a message or email, the cursor for the next character jumps to the middle of the last typed sentence even if I did not do it.Â
Again, just to summarize, without my wanting it, my touch screen creed with one tap sometimes makes the phone scrolls upwards or leftwards on message threads automatically.
Hello everybody. I have an iPhone 4 and updated it to 5.1.1. Since then everytime someone calls me, the answer slider doesn't work !! I have to call everyone back for a week now. And sometimes during de calls the touch screen doesn't work (end+answer, end buttons). I don't have my iphone jailbroken or anything.
It is very idiotic that an update ruins your phone and you can't downgrade to a last know configuration that works.
SO... to sum up. Touch screen doesn't work when I receive a phonecall and the phone is in standby (slide to answer) and during calls.
Just got my Electrify Friday, and so far I have dropped just about every call I have made with it. The screen doesn't turn off during calls and I am either pushing every button and trying to conference in the Moon, or I hang up.
I've turned on and off the pocket mode, I've rebooted with it on, and off. I've turned pocket mode off, rebooted, and then turned it back on. Nothing has worked. I don't have a case on it, I don't have a screen protector on it.
I have updated my mobile 5800 xpressmusic firmware to V50.xx. After the update, whenever I receive calles, I am not able to answer the calls by touching the screen, when I get call, I am seeing 2 option in the screen
1. Answer
2. Unlock
if I touch the option "answer" it is not working, I need to unlock first then need to touch the "answer" to attend the call, can some one help me what could be the probem?
when making a touch call, screen goes black, although call does go thru, i'm unable to hang up or choose options since my screen is black. but if i make a hands-free call (google voice call), screen stays on, motorola had no solutions with software updates or even after a factory reset.
My touch screen stopped working only when the Torch is slid open. The track pad still works and can use the menu to navigate but what a pain. This started three days ago. Phone is 17 months old. Is this a setting?
Recently I updated my Nokia 5800 software V 40.0.005. After updating when any call comes, I can't accept the call through touch screen. First I need unlock using the side bar, then only touch screen works, Earlier I used accept or reject the calls through touch screen without unlocking.
Anyone have problems making and receiving phone calls having the screen immediately disappear so you can't use speaker mute or flash and other options on the touch screen? This just appeared, phone was working last night well now no touch screen using the phone.Checked all the settings all seems to be OK.This just happens in the phone mode all else is working.
Does anybody know if the touch screen on the ES400 can activated/deactivated whilst making calls? The problem is, that as the hangup or mute are availabe functions for use, when you are on a call and have the device pressed against your ear/cheek you can either put the phone on mute, or even cut the caller off completely. It would need to be a function to switch on and off, as you may need to use the screen to turn hands free on etc.
Whenever I press the side volume buttons on my 9700, the screen looks like its being pressed on the side a little ripples show up. I was wondering if anyone elses 9700 does this as well?
I want to disactivate the oh-so-sensitive lock button on my torch 9800. I found a whole bunch of apps that overide the "unlock" part of that button via a slider, but all use the same button to lock. I pick it up, it locks, I put it in my pocket, it locks, it unlocks, I put it in the cradle at night and it locks...annoying to say the least. Is there a way to disactivate that button or is there an app that will render it useless? This is a work phone and it took my long enough to convince them in getting me a bberry instead of an i-phone, so I'd really like to fix this problem.
I really dislike the touch screen, I'm constantly correcting mis-touches. Is there a way to disable the touch screen and just use the touch pad to navigate?
I have used my torch for a long time now and it used to work perfectly, now the touch screen doesn't work at all, I have to use the track pad for everything. The pulling out battery doesn't work; and its not an option to take to my carrier since it is an Att device and my provider is Tmobile.
The touch screen of my Torch is failing. Sometimes it work but most of the time it's dead, sometimes I can just like on an item but not move the page. I rebooted, reloaded, redid everything I could but still to no result.
My torch touch screen is being weird. I works sometimes and others not. especially the bottom or top icons are not responding to touch at all. Is there a way to calibrate it? I dont understand what a hover time is or a tapinterval is and what it should be set at. I have only had this phone for 6 weeks and it has never been abusing, water logged etc...not sure what I should do?
My torch 9800's screen wanders to the right on it's own all the time. If I'm sending a bbm it keeps kicking me over to the emoticons, for example. I can actually watch it scroll through my home screen on its own. How do I fix this? Operating system 6
was working perfectly fine until i downloaded an app that you can now get for free from RIM until some date in may. anyways, i wiped my phone and it was working fine for a few days, then it stopped working out of no where. then for some reason when i upgraded bbm and had to reset my phone, the touch worked perfectly but then randomly stopped working again. It basically does not work at all, except for sometimes when my phone is plugged in. idk how to fix this, would re-installing the software get it to work again or should i just take my phone in?
The keys have stopped working and also my my touchscreen is not working. Yesterday I done a reset and I was able to do a text message but five minutes later the keys stopped working again.
Another frustration I'm having with my first smartphone, torch 9860 bought 1 week ago ....hen I'm talking on the phone, several undesirable things might occur, like I hang-up, or put on speaker phone, or put on hold, or unless the fingers are placed "just so" and my earring doesn't happen to bump the touch screen I can't seem to just have a conversation. Is it really necessary to hold this BB like a small pizza, that is, flat and carefully around the edges, and speak down into it with my chin on my chest?
