Apr 1, 2010An Eris I looked at seemed to have a much less sensitive pad (where the home, menu, back and search buttons are) than the screen. Is this normal?

Dec 3, 2010I have constantly had a problem of the touch screen on my Torch being way too sensitive during phone calls. I frequently put people on hold or speaker phone accidentally during calls. Is there any way to eliminate the touch screen menu function while I am on the phone or make it less sensitive?

Nov 12, 2014I got my HTC one m8 two months ago and I've been using it very frequently. When I use it I see the volume bar increasing to max randomly. It's extremely annoying since I wear headphones. I tried some things out and found out that when ever I touch the volume up button slightly it raises the volume. You can feel the click of a button on any volume button that indicates that you are pressing it. I don't even push it to feel that. It's a light touch and it goes way up. My lower volume button is fine and it doesn't increase until I push past that click. What's going on? I've heard of loose volume buttons mine are firm and don't rattle.

Jul 23, 2010I purchased a blackberry curve 8530 on thursday, and have used it for one full day now. The mute button is EXTREMELY sensitive, but only from non-direct touch angles - so basically it goes into mute mode when I do not expect it. This is becoming a massive annoyance.
Is this a normal problem with these phones, or should I try to get a replacement? Will they make me go to RIM to have them send me a refurbished phone for my 1 day old brand new phone?

Sep 3, 2014My iPhone 5s touch screen has a problem where it can be hyper sensitive.
In certain screens like iMessage, when I tap lightly in one area, the screen will continually to scroll upwards even when I am NOT doing the swiping up motion.Â
Sometimes worse is when I tap on a message to try to read it, it automatically swipe left on the message thread and delete the whole message thread and that is very frustrating and means I lose entire conversations. Â
OTher times, when I am typing out a message or email, the cursor for the next character jumps to the middle of the last typed sentence even if I did not do it.Â
Again, just to summarize, without my wanting it, my touch screen creed with one tap sometimes makes the phone scrolls upwards or leftwards on message threads automatically.

I found a whole bunch of apps that overide the "unlock" part of that button via a slider, but all use the same button to lock. I pick it up, it locks, I put it in my pocket, it locks, it unlocks, I put it in the cradle at night and it locks...annoying to say the least. Is there a way to disactivate that button or is there an app that will render it useless?This is a work phone and it took my long enough to convince them in getting me a bberry instead of an i-phone, so I'd really like to fix this problem.

Feb 12, 2010I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.

Jun 21, 2010My touch screen has been playing up for several weeks nowWhen I try to touch the main screen it will select an area to the right of where I am touching, i.e. clicking the dial pad button will actually select the contacts button, clicking 'answer' on the keypad will put the caller on hold etc etc. Other times the scren will not respon at all.
The funny thing is, when I remove the phone's plastic casing, the touch screen works fine! Similarly, if i push the top part of the case to the sides (so it is not in contact with the digitiser) the touch screen will work again until my phone goes on lock and then when I unlock it the touch screen is stuffed again.
I'm not sure if this is a software or hardware problem. On one hand its as if the plastic casing of the phone is rubbing (putting pressure on) against the side of the touchscreen and causing it to not work (hardware) while on the other hand it could be software in that the problem keeps happening everytime the screen goes to sleep (it's not initialising right).The other problem which started at the exact same time is that the green button is not working sometimes when I try to answer calls or turn off my alarm.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try? I've already done a hard reset. The next step is to buy a new digitizer/plastic case and see if that solves the problem.

Jul 1, 2010It keeps telling me that the c: memory is full and that i should delete some items, however when i try to, there is hardly anything on the c:. Also the phone only works sporadically for about five minutes after switching on and after that the menu button and the touch screen do not work properly and i am unable to make any calls or texts, but can still recieve calls.
Also it is telling me that the sim memory is full and remains full despite deleting text messages. Has anyone else experienced such problems or know how i can fix these problems?

Sep 1, 2014My iphone 5 screen just stopped responding to any touch stimuli. The home button works, and Siri works, but I cannot use the screen at all. Also, my lock button hasn't worked in a few months, so I've been using Assistive Touch to lock and power down my phone. I was hoping to try to reset my phone (home+lock) and see if that worked the screen issue, but I can't find a way to power down. Any tips? Should I restore the phone with iTunes? Or is this the end of the line for my phone?

But I heard it's running an old version of the Android OS (1.5). The guy at the Verizon store said the Eris would likely be getting the Android 2.0 or 2.1 OS in the next month or two. I figure I should wait as the current 1.5 version does not give you free Google maps navigation. The 2.0/1 will. Plus it will operate significantly faster.
