BB Torch :: Disactivate The Oh-so-sensitive Lock Button?
Jan 5, 2012
I want to disactivate the oh-so-sensitive lock button on my torch 9800. I found a whole bunch of apps that overide the "unlock" part of that button via a slider, but all use the same button to lock. I pick it up, it locks, I put it in my pocket, it locks, it unlocks, I put it in the cradle at night and it locks...annoying to say the least. Is there a way to disactivate that button or is there an app that will render it useless? This is a work phone and it took my long enough to convince them in getting me a bberry instead of an i-phone, so I'd really like to fix this problem.
I got my HTC one m8 two months ago and I've been using it very frequently. When I use it I see the volume bar increasing to max randomly. It's extremely annoying since I wear headphones. I tried some things out and found out that when ever I touch the volume up button slightly it raises the volume. You can feel the click of a button on any volume button that indicates that you are pressing it. I don't even push it to feel that. It's a light touch and it goes way up. My lower volume button is fine and it doesn't increase until I push past that click. What's going on? I've heard of loose volume buttons mine are firm and don't rattle.
I purchased a blackberry curve 8530 on thursday, and have used it for one full day now. The mute button is EXTREMELY sensitive, but only from non-direct touch angles - so basically it goes into mute mode when I do not expect it. This is becoming a massive annoyance.
Is this a normal problem with these phones, or should I try to get a replacement? Will they make me go to RIM to have them send me a refurbished phone for my 1 day old brand new phone?
Out of nowhere,my BB menu button has become very sensitive.I have lowered the key rate to slow and there are still times when I hit the button and it acts like I'm hitting it twice.I am running lyricidal's 464 hybrid if that matters.I tried battery pulls and switching to the 497 hybrid and neither has helped.
The Lock button is probably the most used button on the phone and mine is starting to feel weird as if its getting loose or jammed. what should i do if it stops working or if it gets worse (more jammed)?
Is it possible to deactivate the On/Off Button while the device is screen locked?
A User have a problem that he puts his Blackberry in his pockets and it could be that the on/off Button gets accidentally pushed for some seconds and the Blackberry turns itself off.
Now he wants to disable the button while in screen lock.
Is there any way that I can stop the lock button from locking the screen. I find my left hand is to close to the button. Can the phone be set so that when the phone is put into the holster it would lock the screen.
My girlfriend has a blackberry torch which is suffering from a problem in which the lock button is not as responsive. When you click it, it's not making that click sound that you get when you click the mute button that is on the opposite side at the top of the phone.
When I hit the lock button, my screen turns off, but turns back on only 5-10 seconds after by itself and then stays on until the battery dies. It does stay off if I insert it into a Blackberry belt holster, so as long as I leave it there, it's fine, but I want to take it out and not have the battery drain so quickly.
The only way I can ensure the screen is off when not in the holster is to power off, but I need my phone to be on 24/7 for business.
I just found that it's not just OS6.It's better on BOLD because pressing "end" button while in Standby mode will just wake the device. Is there Standby mode in OS6? on Torch? When you are composing email/txt msg, once you touch the "send" icon on touchscreen the msg will just be sent immediately. I hate this because I might hit it randomly. Is there any way to add a confirmation window there?
I have constantly had a problem of the touch screen on my Torch being way too sensitive during phone calls. I frequently put people on hold or speaker phone accidentally during calls. Is there any way to eliminate the touch screen menu function while I am on the phone or make it less sensitive?
Whenever I press the side volume buttons on my 9700, the screen looks like its being pressed on the side a little ripples show up. I was wondering if anyone elses 9700 does this as well?
I want to be able to only lock my blackberry by pressing the top left lock button and not unlock it when i press it again. This is extremely annoying. Can anyone help me?
When I lock my SGS II i would expect all the buttons to lock! However the power button function remain active and its far too easy to accidently power off my phone or set it into flight mode.Does anyone know how to disable this "feature" ??
I have upgraded from a Curve to a Torch 9850. I have had the new phone for nearly 3 weeks and noticed that occasionally the back button and menu button would not work. In the beginning it was once or twice a day but this weekend it has been an all day event. The phone is fairly useless like this. It occurs with all applications as well as text and BB messenger.
I have a blackberry torch 9800, num locks and cap locks were working fine by holding aA or 123 keys on virtual keboard earlier. But all of a sudden (I still wonder why?) its not working any more, and is very frustating to press 123 or aA kes each time you need capital letters or numbers.
Been googling and can't find if it's possible to use the lock button to snap photos. Would be easier to take selfies if it's possible. Couldn't find anything in camera settings and there's nothing in my search results about it.
my lock button on the top is stuck in my phone i dont know what to do about it? i cant turn off phone only way is to let it go dead an i cant lock it unless it locks on its on
My iphone's 4 lock button does not work, it feels like its stucked( it doesnt feel like a button any more). how I could fix myself or should I take it to a proffesional.
i know there are many boards talking about this but i never really get a straight answer. if my phones applecare is still valid will i be able to get my phone fixed or not?
So has anyone else's 4S lock button gotten jammed for some unexplained reason? I have never dropped my phone, but the lock button has somehow gotten jammed.
Earlier when I locked my iPhone the button got jammed, is there a way I can get it out myself (would it be worth trying to stick a small wire or pin underneath to un jam it?) or should I wait until have time to go to an apple store and get them to repair it?
