I have a blackberry torch 9800, num locks and cap locks were working fine by holding aA or 123 keys on virtual keboard earlier. But all of a sudden (I still wonder why?) its not working any more, and is very frustating to press 123 or aA kes each time you need capital letters or numbers.

I did a search in the forum for info about this, but didn't find anything. I'm wondering why you can't locks caps or numbers with the physical keyboard like you can with the virtual keyboard on the Torch? This as to be near the top of my list of most frustrating and counfounding 'features' of the Torch that drives me nuts on a daily basis. Is there any software update available that can make the physical keyboard work the same way as the virtual keyboard when it comes to locking caps and numbers?

2) The documentation says to press the Shift key twice to switch between uppercase & lowercase. This seems to work everywhere but at the begining of a line. Why the special case?
I just bought a Razr Maxx and tried to type something in all-caps but hitting the shift key twice brought it back to lowercase. I noticed it's using Motorola's keyboard... and is conspicuously absent of the default Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard (I don't like Swype). Is it possible to get caps lock back or do I have to download one of the Ice Cream Sandwich keyboards in the market?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI installed LockInfo a while ago. I got everything working fine, downloaded it and plugins fine. I got them all from the same repo as I was advised to do that, and everything seemed to be working fine. Everything was up to date etc.
I received an SMS, and instead of it appearing under the SMS on LockInfo, which it does, it appears as well by the annoying Apple notification box.
I still want my phone to light up when I received a text message and the text message to be displayed under the SMS tab in LockInfo, but how do I get rid of the Apple notification box? I saw when configuring the app there was some thing about quick replying to texts and there was a list to choose form. Would any of those get rid of the Apple alert?
When I use the shortcut lock, my phone locks the keypad, but instead i want it to be the password lock. I used my dad's phone and tried his shortcut lock and it works on his phone. what do i do to lock my phone using the password lock?

So I updated my Curve to the new version 5. I noticed that there was no more Keyboard Lock/Password Lock. From my previous software, it was named Keyboard Lock and I set it as one of my convenience keys. After the update, I noticed that it no longer existed. A friend of mine purchased a brand new Curve 8520 with the update already installed of course. She had the Keyboard Lock but it was named Password Lock instead. I have been searching for ways to get this feature back to my Blackberry because I feel it is more convenient rather than the "silent/mute mode" button located on the top of my device. When pressed, the screen goes off but then half a second later it lights up again and is unlocked. I have acquired a pattern lock to save pressing buttons when the phone is in my pocket but the screen remains lit up and is consequently draining the battery. There isn't any damage to that corner of the phone so I doubt the button is the problem.

Options > Advanced > Apps > scrool to the app > click menu > edit permissions > set all to allow > then reboot.
Well i have the torch and those instructions are not correct b/c there is no advanced tab under options and i can figure it out. Does patternlock work for the torch, if so, can some1 give me instructions.
Maybe I'm not doing it right, but I enable a password on my torch, use the lock button, and when I press the lock button again it unlocks it without asking for the password. Both my 9000 and my 9700 made me enter the password after I hit unlock.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've recently made the switch back to android from an iPhone after quite a few years and I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with android's operating system and work out what I need to change and using this phone I noticed the notifications lacking, so I set up DashClock and DashNotifier and so far I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do for all the apps I have set up with it except for the notifications coming through the 'Messages' app on the phone for text messages.
When receiving a text message my lock screen ignores that I've set up DashClock as my default lock screen and pulls up the original lock screen with the quite ugly 'New Message' notification (as seen in the attached picture). If I scroll to the right DashClock is open and showing the message notification just fine. I've tried to disable the lock screen notifications for the 'Messages' app but haven't been successful in removing it. Is there a way to just have the 'Messages' app give lock screen notifications on the top bar and none like in the image below, or is there a work around within DashClock/DashNotifier or some other application that would fix this? My phone is running Android 4.4.2.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new Huawei Android smart watch and I enabled Smart Lock so that as long as the phone and watch were connected by Bluetooth the phone would remain unlocked. If they are not connected, my fingerprint would unlock the phone. But enabling Smart Lock seems to have no effect - the phone remains locked when connected to the watch. I have rebooted the phone multiple times after turning off security and Smart Lock then turning them both back on after rebooting.
