IPhone :: IOS 5.1.1 - Touch Screen Not Working During Calls

Hello everybody. I have an iPhone 4 and updated it to 5.1.1. Since then everytime someone calls me, the answer slider doesn't work !! I have to call everyone back for a week now. And sometimes during de calls the touch screen doesn't work (end+answer, end buttons). I don't have my iphone jailbroken or anything.
It is very idiotic that an update ruins your phone and you can't downgrade to a last know configuration that works.
SO... to sum up. Touch screen doesn't work when I receive a phonecall and the phone is in standby (slide to answer) and during calls.

iPhone's touch screen is so sensitive that I often accidently call a contact, especially when I use the favorite screes. Is there a way to set up a confirmation call (without jailbreaking)?

My dad got mad took my phone and started stomping on it with the heel of his shoe. I just now have gotten it back and at first glance, there is no damage. But after turning it on, the touch screen doesnt work. No matter how hard i press or anything, nothing happens. I do not have apple care warranty. So my question to you is do any of you guys know of a place that can fix this. The glass isnt broken, just the part that senses that you are touching the glass is.

This morning I turned on my iPhone 4S and it logged in fine. I got a bunch of text messages because my chats were updating and all of a sudden it started to freeze. So I turned it off to 'sleep' and tried logging in again and it wont work now I went to turn it fully off but because the touch screen isn't working, I can't swipe the 'off' part of my phone. I've plugged it in, updated it, everything I could think of, and the touch screen still won't work. Or is it time for a new phone?

I have constantly had a problem of the touch screen on my Torch being way too sensitive during phone calls. I frequently put people on hold or speaker phone accidentally during calls. Is there any way to eliminate the touch screen menu function while I am on the phone or make it less sensitive?

Just got my Electrify Friday, and so far I have dropped just about every call I have made with it. The screen doesn't turn off during calls and I am either pushing every button and trying to conference in the Moon, or I hang up.
I've turned on and off the pocket mode, I've rebooted with it on, and off. I've turned pocket mode off, rebooted, and then turned it back on. Nothing has worked. I don't have a case on it, I don't have a screen protector on it.

I have bought my IPhone4 in Sweden and after 6 month now i am in india. In these days i found one issue with my phone . I found in one of horizontal segment of touch screen is not working even i am not able dailed sepcific number like7,8 and 9. Today i visited one of the service center in india as it is still in warranty period(will end on 21Sept2012) after having queries then he says that this center in only applicable for those IPhone who have purchased in india. It is quite shocking for me beacause i will not be visited sweden in in near future.

My iPhone 5s touch screen is not working and I have tried the soft restart method still not working. When I do the apple logo pops up and behind it is a black screen with red and blue vertical lines. The screen is not damaged and never been dropped. The day it happens was when I was charging the phone and when I got back it the touch was gone and wouldn't respond, I also found it dropped and was hanging on the side of my table, or maybe it short circuit for some reason. All the buttons work, the finger scanner, the on/off button. Also the phone needs the password because I tried the soft reset and now I can't unlock it since it won't respond to my touch. I have been having this bro;em yesterday and also today when i woke up. My Verizon iPhone 4S touch screen is un responsive sometimes then it workes other times. My Sleep/WAke button also doesnt work. My phone thinks that my sleep button is always being pushed so if my touch sreen is working i can do anything becuase my phone puts it self to sleep when i unlock it. I was on IOS 5.0.1 and then updated to IOS 5.1.1 thinking that this would help me but i didnt.

My storm 2 is broken...The touch screen has suddenly stopped working and everythime I boot the phone I get a white screen with various different errors and codes. Each time errors are different...Im sure the phone is unrepairabl so I need to recover my BBM contacts... Recently I updated my Nokia 5800 software V 40.0.005. After updating when any call comes, I can't accept the call through touch screen. First I need unlock using the side bar, then only touch screen works, Earlier I used accept or reject the calls through touch screen without unlocking.

Anyone have problems making and receiving phone calls having the screen immediately disappear so you can't use speaker mute or flash and other options on the touch screen?This just appeared, phone was working last night well now no touch screen using the phone.Checked all the settings all seems to be OK.This just happens in the phone mode all else is working.

Does anybody know if the touch screen on the ES400 can activated/deactivated whilst making calls?The problem is, that as the hangup or mute are availabe functions for use, when you are on a call and have the device pressed against your ear/cheek you can either put the phone on mute, or even cut the caller off completely. It would need to be a function to switch on and off, as you may need to use the screen to turn hands free on etc.

We have the Xperia Ray and it has been working fine for about 6 weeks until the other day when the screen stopped working and we are therefore unable to access the phone. We have tried to repair the software twice and that did not work and obviously we are unable to do the reset as not able to access the phone systems.

I bought my Nokia X3-02 in 2011. It worked well for 11 months and in the 12th month, its touchscreen stopped working. It was under warranty so I went to Nokia service centre and they changed the Touch screen Digitizer.It worked well for few days and meanwhile its warranty expired. Now it has the same problem and the touch screen doesn't work at all. So, I put the phone back to the phone and started using my other phone.after 2-3 days, I thought that I should take the phone to the service centre, so removed the batter and inserted the SIM card. I started the phone and touch screen was working fine. I thought, I am lucky as the touch screen is working now. But after few hours probably 3-4, the touch screen stopped working again. Quite weird behaviour.So, if i put the phone to off for around 1 day and starts using it again then the touch works and after few hours it stops working again. I went to service centre again and they said, they would firstly change the touch screen ( price INR 1500) and after that they could comment on the phone's behaviour.
UPDATE: I have updated the phone firmware to latest one. Touch works even after 5 hours but not the exact point of contact.. When i try to press Menu, it always activates the Address/exit button, so the wherever you touch it activates the right side of the area.

I recently bought a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V (MT11). I locked the screen using the Power button of the phone. I have set a password for unlocking my phone. Now, when i press the "Home" key of the phone, the screen comes alive with keypad for punching-in the password but the touchscreen is not responding so i am not able to punch-in the password. I am getting calls on my cell phone but i cannot receive the calls since I cannot slide the "green" button on screen to right (which is the usual way to receive the calls). Could you guys please help me make my phone screen responsive again. This is a brand new phone, just a couple of days old and no apps installed other than loaded by the Company itself.

I don't know how it happened but my phone adopted a crack from bottom to top just off center, which seemed to have made 40% of the right side useless. I am scared that if i get just the screen replaced, the right side of the touch will remain broken.
